I am the Righteousness of God in Christ.

I thank you Lord that you have made me Righteous.

That's kind of presumptive, isn't it? But its the same presumption that the Lord Jesus TEACHES us to have in Luke.

Luke 11:5-8
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
[SUP]6 [/SUP]For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

Luke 5:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Ephesians 3:20-21
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

[SUP]21 [/SUP]Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Doing righteous deeds by themselves does not make one righteous. This is having the cart before the horse.

I know there have been "good" people doing "righteous deeds " but they were not belonging to God. Many religions have moral living people in them - all doing "righteous deeds".

Here is how righteousness is manifested to a believer....we need to be righteousness conscious...not sin-conscious...we have a new creation in Christ now!

This "righteousness " that we already have now in our new creation ( the inner man ) is because we are in Christ - will manifest outwardly in doing righteous deeds - but we need the "horse" in front first.

The "horse" being Christ's righteousness in us because of our being in Christ in our inner man..our new creation in Christ.

Awake to who you are in Christ!..Awake to righteousness and sin not..when you see who you are in Him in your new man..you become like Him outwardly.

2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
[SUP]18 [/SUP] But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

Hebrews 5:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant.

Romans 5:17 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 54:14 (NASB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] "In righteousness you will be established; You will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; And from terror, for it will not come near you.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NASB)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we mightbecome the righteousness of God in Him.

When you see who you are in Christ because of His finished work...you become outwardly in behavior what you are truly like in your new inner man where Christ dwells.

Our outer man is dying daily because of sin, yes.
But our inner man is being renewed.

I still say you just don't like the WAY they say it. It's a little bit controlling.

You can't just keep walking around praising God that one day you get to enter into the land and stand outside warning others not to enter because of the giants. And you also can't keep trying to claim that others haven't seen these giants in themselves just because they've moved past fear and pushed on into the land to take it.

If He says He'll take care of the giants, then He'll take care of the giants.

The way they say it is through redefinition of biblical word meanings and concepts, discarding Jesus' words (e.g., Matthew 6:9-15), and outright falsehoods (e.g., we are the righteousness of GOD).

So yeah, I do have a big problem with it.

I think I just saw something...
They don't really see righteousness and sanctification as two...different things.
I think their minds work differently in this than those who they can't stand...

That's not accurate. Forensic justification/sanctification (GOD's work) is different than practical sanctification (GOD's/our work).

Forensic justification/sanctification (GOD's work) - column 1
Practical sanctification (GOD's/our work) - column 2

Okay, but in the first column it says this is positional righteousness. But you don't believe in positional...do you?
You've said God can't declare a man righteous positionally, it has to be actually(sanctification).
I somewhat agreed with that in that if you never see any fruit(actual), then his positional righteousness proves to be a delusion.

It astonishes me how HeRose has no idea what imputed righteousness actually means.

It means we have the very righteousness of Christ credited to us - we are as righteous, and as holy, and as sinless as Jesus is - for as long as Jesus is.

We have been made as perfect as God!

All
of our sins were laid upon Christ. All of our sins are paid for.

Romans 4:5-8 destroys the wicked, twisted theology of people like HeRose.

It's pitiful how people like him can teach that you don't have to clean up your life before salvation - you come to God as you are - yet will then demand you must clean up your life afterward, or you'll lose the salvation you didn't have to work for in the first place.

His "gospel" is man-centered, not Christ-centered.

The Bible teaches that once we are born again, nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God.

HeRose teaches that we, created beings, can do the separating.

Either God, or HeRose, is a liar.

Take your pick.

The problem I have spiritually with the whole proposition is the same reason I do not read a horoscope.

By reading the horoscope I am declaring what it is saying has authority over my life and God does not. It is a sin against God and putting my trust in the enemy and the source of the words, the psychic who is speaking.

If I declare I am righteous, which is alone for God to declare, for He alone sees and defines who and what is righteous, I am placing myself in the place of God. That is sin. The enemy would want everyone who claims the name of Christ to walk in sin and commit sin. It cuts us off from the Lord and we walk in the wilderness.

The people of Israel did this all the time, and the Lord warned what would happen if they continued in this way.

The real test is if you know you sin, you cannot claim righteousness, that is just hypocracy.

Jesus never said the apostles where righteous, just clean. Jesus did not declare himself righteous, he asked people to find sin within what he did. Now if Jesus did not make such a declaration, why should we who have no right to claim such a status, but only receive it as a gift.

This is where false-grace teachers try to deceive IMO. Prince said to focus on one's own righteousness, but here you try to shift gears by talking about Christ's righteousness.

It's a subtle deception because we are not the righteousness of GOD. Christ alone is. He clothes us with his righteousness, but we are not that righteousness. False-grace teachers try to make it look like we are.

The Bible says we are already sanctified. As far as God is concerned, it's already finished. (Hebrews 10:10)

The Bible says we are perfect (Hebrews 10:14).

How can one be perfect and not be righteous?

I do think I get what you're saying. I've struggled with this too.
It used to sound to me like people were claiming a saved status for themselves, the status of righteous, but without actually BEING and DOING righteous. I mean, there can be no such thing as an unrighteous righteousness, right?

I could see all kinds of nastiness from them and bitterness and unforgiveness and lack of honesty in what their motive was in something they did that was mean. They claimed a saved status but I never saw any sanctification, no fruit of the Spirit. And I thought, how can this be??

Yes, I do. We have righteous standing, but we are not righteous. The former is forensic and perfect, the latter is actual. We are being made perfectly righteous.

HeRose, does God count our sins against us or not?

Does God justify us, or do we?

Does one have to stop sinning to retain salvation?

Every time you confess, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ”, God the Father is pleased. When you confess that you are the righteousness of God in Christ, it reminds Him of what His Son has done for you to become righteous. ( 1 Cor. 1:30 ; 2 Cor. 5:21 )[TABLE="align: center"]

That's odd. I read those scriptures and it said nothing about confessing that to God, nor did it mention it pleased him when you confessed it to Him.
And I've been thru the bible some and I never remember it saying such a thing.
Strangely enough, I don't remember any place where it says God has to be reminded of anything either.
Perhaps you simply forgot the scripture where it did say to confess that to God, and/or to remind Him. Mind going back and finding it so we can read that part too? Thanks.

This is what believers in the grace of our Lord Jesus have to say about "sanctification"..the word itself means = "to be set apart"

We are perfectly sanctified in Christ now....very true....we as an identity the new creation in Christ will never be more holy....however there is a "sanctifying" of our behavior that is on-going that reflects our true nature in Christ...so in essence...we are becoming outwardly who we really are in our inner man which is in Christ.

God sets apart ( sanctifies ) our attitudes and actions outwardly but you are 100% set apart ( sanctified ) as a person..the real you in your inner man..the new creation in Christ.

Hebrews 10:14 (NASB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.

( this is present passive..passive is that something is being done to you ...the Spirit of the Lord in us changing us. )

Here is what Jesus told Paul on the road to Damascus....having been sanctified ( perfect passive )..= done deal

Acts 26:17-18 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you,
[SUP]18 [/SUP] to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.' (
perfect passive )

It is obvious from scripture that we are to walk out the holiness that is already in us in the new creation in Christ - created in righteousness and holiness. There is a difference between us as a person being "set apart" ( sanctified in our spirit ) and "setting apart " ( sanctifying ) our outward behavior.

1 Peter 1:15-16 (NASB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior;
[SUP]16 [/SUP] because it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY."

In other words...be who you really are now in Christ.
