You mean like God, Jesus, and the folks that wrote the bible?

It's always good to present all what is written...this is especially helpful with scriptures too..here is the rest of what was said..

To some people "salvation" means just going to heaven which we will go when we die and leave this body. However the word salvation means a lot of different things...."make well"." preservation"..."wholeness" "rescue".

All these terms are used in respect to our quality of life here on the earth too. People can see scriptures about being saved or salvation and only think about losing the free gift by grace through faith of going to heaven. This is not correct as it violates the clear teachings of the bulk of scriptures.

We are saved now as we will ever be as far as going to be with the Lord. it's a free gift based on grace through faith only.

However, we are also being saved here on earth too from this present world and if we walk according to the flesh we will die early in life or lose out on the quality of life that the Lord enjoys ...we need to walk according to the Spirit within so that we can experience life ( salvation ) here on this earth.

Well then there is no difference between us in reality.

Unfortunately there are people in the "hyper-grace" camp who do say the Lords prayer is not for us.
Grace7x77 is one of them, and was the reason I came to be aware of this position..

And if I ever heard him say it, I would assume I just did not understand what He was meaning to say. I would ask Peter to direct me to the thread where he said it, but I've already been down that long and winding road with Peter and he could not produce the evidence of what he claimed 777 said.

But I don't think Peter was lying exactly. I think in his mind if any televangelist whatsoever said it, then777 said it too! It's quite bizarre but I don't think he was TRYING to tell a lie, with outright deceit. The result was still a lie but I think he somehow really believes it.

Unfortunately some people hear something and then perceive it differently. This has been hashed over many times in the past. I said that the Disciple's prayer ( the Lord's prayer is actually in John 17 ) is a model prayer for us and we can learn some great things from it. The disciple asked Jesus to teach them how to pray when He was there with them. All scripture is useful to us to learn and grow in the knowledge of the Lord

I also said that some elements have already been fulfilled after the cross and in our Lord's resurrection. Jesus said for the disciples to pray for the kingdom to come. The kingdom has come since the resurrection and day of Pentecost. The kingdom of God is in us now. He also said that to forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those that trespass us. Jesus said "Forgive them Father..."

Now in the new covenant we are forgiven by the blood of Jesus and because of that forgiveness we are forgiving. The Lord provides the forgiveness in the New Covenant first. In the Old Covenant - you had to forgive or you were not forgiven. It's the law in action and was still in place until Jesus died and rose from the grave to effect a new covenant in place build upon better promises.

In the OC you "do" first in order to receive because it is based on "us". In the NC it is all based on "Him" what our Lord has already done first and thus we respond to Him. We forgive because we are forgiven. All of the New Covenant scriptures speak of our forgiveness as received from the Lord first - then we forgive.

I think that the stumbling block to some who have been taught by our religious traditions that are contrary to NC truths, is what the NC says concerning forgiveness and the kingdom of God already being inside of us now after the cross.

To some this idea of some elements of the model prayer have been fulfilled after the cross is satanic and they just can't get their minds around the truths of the NC and it is a stumbling block to them and of course people who believe otherwise are evil..false-teachers..etc.

Hmmm...I think you are saying there is...a line of sorts, between what Jesus said before His death and what is after His death? I have noted this! The OC was actually still in effect when He came and spoke to us. It's helpful to remember that if something seems confusing.

Yes....we have to remember what covenant we are in when reading scriptures.....we need to always interpret scriptures through the "lens" of the finished work of Christ or we will be trying to keep the law for obtaining eternal life because Jesus told that to the rich ruler when he asked Him what must "he" do to inherit eternal life. ( we know the real answer is to believe on Jesus )

....but the model prayer is really a good example of revealing a loving Father as well as some elements being fulfilled by Jesus after His death. There are whole denominations that "repeat" the Lord's prayer as a ritual and recite it word for word.

It is still a sin,, Him being ignorant does not excuse him, If it were not for everyone (well almost everyone) trying to show him, I might agree with you, But there comes time to say enough is enough.

The salvation that Jesus and his apostles referred to is salvation from GOD's wrath and eternal destruction. What you're teaching is just word-of-faith/prosperity-gospel BS.

I think sometimes he allows us to be sick so we can serve someone else who will have the same sickness..

You need to quit your false accusations. Grace777x70 posts teachings all the time of false-grace teachers who do teach this doctrine (e.g., Farley, Prince, Rufus, etc), and either supports it, or hasn't denied that he believes and follows it.

Sorry, But Peters accusations against Grace777 have been refuted over and over by so many people. I must stand in amazement people keep making the same accusations.

I believe the Lord can use any circumstance that has occurred to bring beauty out of the tragedy and heart break to reveal His love and grace towards us and to others as well. He is awesome at doing that. What the enemy meant for evil - our Father turns it around for good - this is what makes Him - God and He is always got in the act of being Himself...

And when God uses a person who has cancer to encourage and help another person with cancer, in the glory of God. that is also a wonderful thing.

Some people recite the prayer word for word, and think this is what God meant, Yet God spoke against repetitive prayer. so one must ask, why would God tell us to do what he says not to do?

I agree, the prayer is an example.. With many spiritual truths, some people may get different truths out of it, as it relates to them. But that does not make them wrong..

and others need reasons to attack others. because they really have nothing, and will use silly things like this to make others look bad. Not realizing, it makes them look bad.
