Why the king james?

I've been busy these last few days and have not been able to keep up like I wanted to so I want to go back James 2. I can't believe that anybody wouldn't agree that the NIV is flat wrong in James2:21. Abraham was not considered righteous for offering Isaac. How can the NIV be right on this verse please explain.

21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?

I can't believe you have told and shown time and time again that the greek word Diakosune can be translated justified, and made righteous , both mean the exact same thing.

Saying abraham was justified by work is the exact same thing as saying he was made righteous by work. Both interpretations fit the greek.

Why is saved in the KJV any different? We get saved (past), we are saved (present) and nothing about the word indicates our salvation can be lost (future).

'justified by works', 'justified by his actions', 'justified by what he did', 'considered righteous for what he did', 'shown to be right with God by his actions' ...

They all mean the same!

Justified means made righteous in any verse. You don;t change meaning of words just to suit your belief system.

Sure there's a difference. Abraham's faith was shown to be legitimate saving faith by offering up Isaac... he was not made righteous before God by offering up Isaac. That's the whole context of James 2, head knowledge faith verses real saving faith.

What does verse 23 say in your Bible?
