I grew up hearing the phrase that once you are saved, you are always saved. You cannot loose your salvation is that statement true, please help me find scriptures that discuss this topic further.

Common sense will do.. If you turn your back to God and blaspheme and curse him you can be 100% sure you loose your salvation.. I dont even understand that that question is still asked

Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

What shall be added to the blood of Christ? What can be taken away?

For the cause of Christ

The answer is in the blood of the Lamb. The entire Bible points to the blood sacrifice of Christ as being central to salvation, yet most discussions speaking against eternal security conveniently ignore the blood of Lamb as the main part of their arguments. Research the threads on this forum and see for yourself. My salvation is secured by His blood.

"Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but
by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us." Heb 9:12

I could not rest till I knew the answer to this question CEF. God wants us to know we are safe and secure IN His Son Jesus Christ. We need that security. So He put it in many places in the Bible for us. Your question is a good one and there are many promises for you in the Bible. Start reading the links offered by Grace777 so you can read about others who also wanted to have this question answered and see the verses given. (there are many)

Here is a wonderful verse that I memorized years ago. I was glad to know EVERYONE who is serious about salvation wants to KNOW for sure. Blessings to you and good to see you on the forums.

This Is Written That You May Know.. 1 John 5:13 (amplified Bible)

[SUP]13 [/SUP]These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God [which represents all that Jesus Christ is and does], so that you will know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have eternal life.

The accuser of the brethren doesn't want you to be at peace. He wants you to doubt your salvation. Keep these Scriptures in mind:

"Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us." Rom 8:33-34

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." Heb 12:1-2

Those who don't understand grace want to understand it for others and proclaim what we believe... and that just isn't proper in any way shape or form. so you get the picture today...from me to you HRFTD.
This was worth a "TWO FOR"
:D

As others have already posted.. before this thread goes on to pages and pages of debate.. this has been THOROUGHLY covered and mulled over in many many historical threads!

Do you believe John 3:16?

If you think salvation can be undone.. then really you don't believe John 3:16! (Although I am not saying someone is not saved if they believe salvation can be undone.. because they may have been genuinely converted and then fed false doctrine)

This is such dumb propaganda. What if GOD's wife played the whore and joined herself through fornication to become one flesh with his enemy that he had consigned to the fires of hell? Her choice, not GOD's

Read Hosea and find out what the Lord did in that situation.

Hosea 2:14-23Amplified Bible (AMP)

Restoration of Israel

[SUP]14 [/SUP]
“Therefore, behold, I will allure Israel
And bring her into the wilderness,
And I will speak tenderly to her [to reconcile her to Me].
[SUP]15 [/SUP]
“Then I will give her her vineyards from there,
And make the Valley of Achor a door of hope and expectation [anticipating the time when I will restore My favor on her].
And she will sing there and respond as in the days of her youth
As in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]
“It shall come about in that day,” says the Lord,
“That you will call Me Ishi (my husband)
And will no longer call Me Baali (my [SUP][a][/SUP]Baal).
[SUP]17 [/SUP]
“For I will remove the names of the Baals from her mouth,
So that they will no longer be mentioned or remembered by their names.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]
“And in that day I will make a covenant for Israel
With the animals of the open country
And with the birds of the heavens
And with the creeping things of the ground.
And I will abolish the bow and the sword and [banish] war from the land
And will make them lie down in safety.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]
“And I will betroth you (Israel) to Me forever;
Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and in justice,
In lovingkindness and loyalty, and in compassion.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]
“I will betroth you to Me in stability and in faithfulness.
Then you will know (recognize, appreciate) the Lord [and respond with loving faithfulness].

[SUP]21 [/SUP]
“It will come about in that day that I will respond,” says the Lord.
“I will respond to the heavens [which ask for rain to pour on the earth], and they will respond to the earth [which begs for the rain],
[SUP]22 [/SUP]
And the earth shall respond to the grain and the new wine and the oil [which beg it to bring them forth],
And they will respond to Jezreel [My Israel, who will now be restored].
[SUP]23 [/SUP]
“I will sow her for Myself in the land.
I will also have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy;
And I will say to those who were not My people,
‘You are My people,’

With the grace Paul was preaching, he was obviously accused of teaching that believers could live like the world.

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" Rom 6:1-2

The same rotten fruit is seen in those who falsely accuse the grace brethren here on CC of advocating living like the world because they believe in the blood's power to completely save. Don't listen to the accusers. Believers of grace always affirm:

"
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that
thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men." Titus 3:8
