I know what you mean. I sometimes go Pentecostal, when a matching sock finally turns up.

Welllll, Actually I have been known to praise Jesus loudly with tons of joy and relief if I'm late for work and can't find the other shoe or the other matching sock...or if the dog comes back in a timely manner to the back door so I'm not late... (and I'm not even Pentecostal):D

I was being silly, of course, but it's absolutely true in my experience, also, that such small, tender mercies can be the source of great joy, even the smallest goodness, in a typical day, like a gift from the Lord, to rejoice in. If we knew everything He did for us, day in and day out, I have no doubt it would be a long list of tender mercies we never see, on our behalf. We only see the tip of the iceberg of all we have to be thankful for.

Beautifully said JesusIsAll. Amen! We have only taken a little cup out of the huge OCEAN of His love and grace for us.

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand." John 10:27-29

God knew in advance that wolves would come and try to convince the sheep that they could become lost again. What a great promise He declares! Anyone who advocates against the promises of God are calling God a liar!

I am constantly amazed at the number of socks that go away - disappear - most likely a product of the Illuminati. Let's say we lose 1 sock per month. There are 300 Million people in the US alone. So 12 socks per year per person times 300 million is a lot of socks going AWOL and yet there is always one left over too. Mysteries.....

Or they just can't jump in with both feet without reservation (totally abandoning the flesh) They can accept Jesus saves and does the first part, but to be sure, they must keep being good enough to hold on to this salvation. They don't know that works will not keep them saved., Jesus has already done that when He saved them and gave them His righteousness, and then sent the Holy Spirit to seal them.

Wow, never thought of it that way. This could also be applied to gloves. You put gloves away and some how when you go to find them, you can only find 2 left ones or 2 right ones.

Read Hosea and find out what the Lord did in that situation.

People have the kind of a view where God will throw those who He loves dearly away from Him after His Son died to set them free have a warped view of our loving, good Father and they also don't know how great and thorough a salvation we have in Christ.

The fact that people look at God through their own lens of religion - they warp the true nature of the Father as Jesus came to reveal Him. They in fact create a "god" of their own construct and made after their own image. They then compare God with human terms and thoughts and thus err greatly in understanding the finished work of Christ for us. The Father and Son deeply love us and He is not looking for ways to keep people from Him.

Philippians 1:6 (NASB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

It is God Himself that qualifies us. - not ourselves....Jesus did it all! Now we walk out His life that is in us.

Colossians 1:12 (NASB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.

Thank you Lord for your great love, grace and mercy.

Ephesians 2:4-9 (NASB)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

[SUP]5 [/SUP] even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

[SUP]6 [/SUP] and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

[SUP]7[/SUP] sothat in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

[SUP]8[/SUP] For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

[SUP]9 [/SUP] not as a result of works, so that no one may boast

This is such dumb propaganda. What if GOD's wife played the whore and joined herself through fornication to become one flesh with his enemy that he had consigned to the fires of hell? Her choice, not GOD's
Kind of like gomer?

I grew up hearing the phrase that once you are saved, you are always saved. You cannot loose your salvation is that statement true, please help me find scriptures that discuss this topic further.
The real question is, "Are you going to heaven?"

Some people use to think they were going to heaven because they signed the church roll.
Some people think they are going to heaven because they are a good person.

What I'm trying to say is, there are people who don't know or believe the gospel who have a "said" faith. They may think they are Christians or maybe they just say they believe because there are good business contacts in the church or they like the prestige of being in the church and they might not be Christian.

So unsaved people can't lose their salvation because they never possessed Christ.

Just read The writings of Paul and you will see that he keeps saying that those who endure to the end. You cannot say that your saved at 12 years old and live a life of debauchery and say I'm Saved it doesn't work that way. The Just shall live by faith, Faith in what? The cross of Christ and if so then the Holy Spirit will work in you to produce good fruit.

The answer is really this. If someone endures the tribulation and hasn't taken the mark of the beast then they will be saved because Jesus will come and then Jesus will personally be evidence and people will see the truth because they will meet Jesus.

This verse does not mean that those who endure as righteous people as Christians will be saved. That is not what the verse is saying.

Then what is saying? Why would Paul often refer to those who endure? For,infact, He had seen His own co workers fall from grace.

Revelation 12:11King James Version (KJV)

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

We overcome (endure) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony.

Like the prodigal son which came back?
The prodigal son came to his senses and said I would rather be a servant in my fathers house. This is the path of most Christians. You must go through Romans 6,7 before 8. Though some never make it back. It is a difficult thing to do for God will leave the 99 and go after the one. Yet, it is up the individual to choose.

So by choosing, the prodigal has to be saved?
