We tried that whole banning alcohol thing. All that really did was empower organized crime. So then we untried it.

But it does make a good argument for those who want to legalize other drugs: if alcohol and some prescriptions have just as bad or worse records of causing impaired driving, irresponsible behavior, etc why do we allow those drugs to be legal and others not? (not that I am in favor of any kind of drug use that impairs people's ability to function, but I am a big fan of consistency)
Then make it all illegal. There's so much youth here on pot and so many in these centers trying to get free from their addiction. It's been legal for decades. Had a 15 year old boy at my door who asked me to buy it for him.

Because it's all about money. Our government makes TONS of money off legal and illegal drugs. It's always about money.

People are too busy blaming something when they are messing up. We're blaming alcohol, drugs, guns, cars etc instead of putting the blame right where it belongs. Banning things will not solve any problems. People have to start working on their problems themselves, and start addressing their real problems.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but that means that people would have to recognize their sinful nature and their need for God. For the entire world to do that, for the church to do that, it's simply not going to happen. So people blame other things or other people. We see that happen in the garden with Adam and Eve. It's hardwired into the human character.

Welp.. I am sick lol. I felt it coming yesterday, tried to ignore it this morning.. but what it is, it is. Based on this 103.1 temp, I'm guessing I'm going to need at least three cans of Chicken and Stars soup STAT. X.X

Something I can't figure out... why are there so many games, movies, books, etc. about vampires these days? Anyone? What is so incredibly attractive about a group of undead that sucks peoples blood and turns people into more vampires?

I started wondering about this while I was looking through some video game lists. There's a whole lot of them about vampires...

I blame Twilight. They romanticized the vamps lol.

I'm not sure. But it fits with our increasingly relativistic society. Vampyres used to be seen as a great evil and something to avoid becoming (in fiction). Now vampyres are being portrayed as good and something to desire.

A decade ago, it was all about zombies. The Walking Dead is the only thing still keeping that going now, really. Vampires kind of replaced that as the trend.

Thank you, sir.

On another note - I am over here eating cough drops like candy. One drop every two hours?

No worries. Yes, I've done something similar with peppermint Tic Tacs. I had about 50 of them in the space of an hour. The end result: my insides felt deathly cold and nauseous, my nasal passages were incredibly clear and my head felt light and airy. Don't do it!
