Honestly, I have noticed there has been much more tension in the forums lately.

I remember when I was a caregiver and used to work from 6 pm to 6 am and mindlessly post on forums for hours. It was never about heated debates or proving others wrong. We just had fun. I don't really know what's up with CC lately but the whole trying to defend yourself because others are being nit-picky gets old really quick. It also seems like a lot of the younger members have fallen off since I was last on here (on a regular basis) months ago. I feel like there are some users who are ganging up on others and overwhelming new users. Or maybe it has become this whole, "I'm smarter than you are and know more about the bible, so there."
And the whole,
"I'M CHRISTLIKE"
"NO, I'M MORE CHRISTLIKE"
"WELL, GOD LIKES ME MORE" thing.

Again, I'm not speaking of personal interactions, but just by checking out the forums.

It's annoying. And tiresome.

The way I feel about it is, the world is already hard enough. I have to defend myself as a Christian every day. I don't mind a healthy debate to gain a new perspective or to learn something new, but sometimes the stuff I read seems really snooty, catty, petty, and/or unneeded. The general vibe of CC seems to be getting a tad negative and combative, and out of all the Christian websites I've been on, this is the main thing I was trying to avoid, which is why I have been a member with CC for so long.

Personally i think you all are great :) if you go back and read some of your own responses many of them are very good, some are direct to the point and some are sutle. But you must understand that nonverbal communication does get misunderstood :) we all have barriers from Doctrine , church affiliation, and maturity and education. That is what is very god about here not to mention many different placed on the map God bless you all :)

I hope I'm allowed to say that a thread was just closed. I admit it was a good thing.I was about to read somebody the riot act. No,not you Willie. So what is going on here folks? It's getting hateful. We had a blowout and a thread closed yesterday. Is this what its come to? Why is everyone so nasty and angry?! It wasn't like this when I joined. I had friends and daily I seem to be making enemies for simply giving an opinion. What has happened here? Drama, drama, drama. It's getting ridiculous.
I must admit If I don't Proofread,I will be misunderstood quickly.

Oh, come on! I had to do those dishes eventually. (I gather I missed something? Sounds like washing dishes was the better plan.)

On a more serious note, I think the problem is enough negative people are on BDF now that they have, quite literally, drowned out discussion. I look, but I'm hard pressed to see a topic worth discussing and knowing it's going to end up being a whole bunch of people preaching off the top of their heads anyway, but think they're the only voice that counts.

I'd stop looking except once in awhile something good comes along to read. I do think it's intentional to get the ones who won't do that off the board or are able not to do it, so they can keep at it though. It works.
:)Were you thinking about CC while you were doing the dishes? lol

Good question.... I'm finding that the BDF is filled with self-righteous folks that want to destroy anyone that has a different view of scripture than themselves.

It is spiritually exhausting, and I'm beginning to think I don't need to frequent this forum anymore.

I'm all about loving discussion and disagreement, but when it becomes a shouting match (figuratively) about who is an apostate spreader of Satan's message..... well, I'm out.
Hornetguy you are ok with me :)

Now wait a cotton pickin' minute!! A couple days ago some of us DID "give the benefit of the doubt" to a couple of trolls who were on here, and YOU mocked us, even called us "suckers". We should try to give benefit to everyone, even the trolls. And not have to worry about our "friends" here mocking us for our sincere efforts to help. Maybe if more of us actually TRIED helping, instead of TALKING about helping, then the atmosphere here just might be alot better. So next time, stop mocking those who are sincerely trying to help others. We don't appreciate being called suckers, and I know you're capable of doing better than what I've seen from you recently, Willie..

Hubby.

I just got him in trouble because of the laws of gravity, and I'm coaxing myself into becoming completely passive until I can get him out of there.

As much as Willie and I butt heads, I honestly don't think he was mocking. Still haven't figured out his intent, but I honestly don't think it was mock.

I really think that was an example of a moment when just about everyone was shooting arrows, missing the targets, and forgetting we aren't each other's target -- especially with peircing things. Which, I also think is the big problem lately.

We're talking over each other, which just ain't right.

Spritual warfare....

Mark 3:25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

The more folks argue the less time they will spreading the gospel to those on here who need it, prayer and learning. I've noticed it happening more and more. Discension and it is getting worse.
Discension

The enemy will use anyone who allows it. Watch the threads and pay attention to what happens and who pops in as soon as an argument ensues.

Sadly not everyone here is to help build.

So Willie calling us suckers is NOT mocking us? What would you call it, then? It was condescending mockery, that's what it was. This entire week, I've tried to help others here, friends and trolls alike, and I've been lied about and called names and I'm not taking this bull anymore!! I'm gonna speak up! The BDF is the most hateful, strifefilled forum on here and it's spilling over into the other forums. So much negativity on here it stinks!! Friends attacking friends and it shouldn't be that way. I expect alot better from my CC "friends".. :/
