Whoa, Utah, that is like rule number 3 or 4 from the Feminism 101 handbook. NEVER call a woman a "chick".
Funny though, in the modern world it is popular and seemingly okay for many woman (and some men) to call men the other name for Richard. It starts with a D.

Oh, I dont know Tinuviel. The pioneers mucked out stalls in skirts. They did everything in skirts. Dresses actually.

I love skirts. I've done a ton in them and I wasn't arguing that it was impossible, just inconvenient. Milking cows in a dress now, that's easy. :)
 
Well I'm a child of the late 70's...grew up in the 80's and 90's..don't know anything bout feminism.. But I can sure tell you bout MTV..and those giant cellphones with the antennas.. And the KoolAid Pitcher..from those commercials..But this is a serious discussion.. So this Lil chuch2u2.. Will shut up now..Have a great day!!!

Never learned how to cook a decent meal or clean up. Guess they thought I was so smart and would get such a fantastic job that I could hire some maids or something.

A good rule of thumb for any single man is if he takes a girl out on a first date (or second, or third, etc.) and she talks talking... seriously... about a problem with 'the patriarchy', then he should end it right there.

I don't know why a guy would want to get involved in that mess.

If a woman gets too uptight or wants to punch a man who quotes or paraphrases scripture about a wife submitting to her husband, that's another good sign to not pursue a romantic relationship with her.

It may be reasonable to make an exception for a teachable believer, especially a new believer, whose open to discipleship. All of this should be subject to the Lord's will as the man seeks it.

Not often, but I have been on dates where it was so evident from the get go that there was no way this was going to work ot. Usually for reasons like or sometimes similar to what you said.
I would never do this now, but I was not the person then I am now, all glory and praise and credit to Jesus, but once I had a blind date and the woman was just so, well maybe not my physical type is the best way to say it, that I changed the dinner plans to a movie, and then just took her back to her house, walked her to her door, said thanks and good night.
 
Years later, if I dated, and if a woman had a inner beauty and/or was fun to be with or a good conversation, it didn't matter to me how she looked.
 
No Coby2..But I'm going to look up some things about feminism tonight after church..and find out. Maybe I was aware of it..but it didn't stick in my mind??? frankly back then I was more concerned with listening to the latest hip/hop or rap record and dancing in my brother's breakdancing group. Social movements didn't interest me as much back then I guess. These days I'm older and trying to get wiser. Thanks.

Also, it's good to know that if there is another war, you don't want the woman to help
(I use this example because that was one of the main triggers of things changing, women working the previous men's jobs in the factories)

and I hope you will give us your real names, so we know not to marry you by mistake if you think women should be chained to the kitchen and not have the right to vote

Im just very amused by your observance of womens attire and then judging our character. I alway wore black because it made look profession, little do I know that I am classified with feminists lol. Well may be Ill understand where you are coming from. Thanks for enlightening me on this point. Your point well noted.

That's profound wisdom, my Brother, and its the grace LiJo shares with me. She doesn't care how I look because I treat her well, make her laugh and we both love the Lord.

Well that is the love of God manifested in her. That is a special person.
But from what I can tell from your avatar, you wouldn't now, and probably never did, have a issue in the looks dept.

People put too much emphasis on worldly things. I think my husband is very handsome but it wasn't the first thing that attracted me.The first thing was that he was such a true gentleman. People focus on shallow things and then are surprised when the relationship fails.

Thanks bro, she is indeed a special person. As far as looks, what little I had back in the day disappeared when my hair started falling out. The ball cap works wonders. :cool:

(But that's not why I wear one. I just like them.)
