I will vote. I will enter the voting booth with this prayer.

Lord God, you have brought me to this point. I know that you have selected one of these candidates to govern our country for the next four years. Please guide my heart and hand to that candidate. Amen. Then I will vote.

If every Christian in the country does this, and lets God guide that vote, God will provide the right person and will heal our country.
I understand your sincere desire.........but I would suggest you read about the Jewish people and King Saul. Sometimes, sometimes, God gives us what we beg/plead/cry out for, even though He knows it will not be a good thing.....learning lessons can be painful.

:)

one has to consider that everything is filtered thru the media. If journalists did their job in an unbiased manner things would be much different.
Ok...........maybe you should have said MOST EVERYTHING?

See, when I turn on the TV, and Trump, Hillary, Sanders, whoever is standing there giving a speech, and I listen DIRECTLY to their own words............I do not see a "media filter." I see/hear the real deal.

Oh, wait, someone recently said: "I did not say what you heard me say as I was saying it, I said something different than what you heard me say as I was saying it."

In my opinion, NO PERSON who professes to be a believer in and a follower of Jesus Christ could ever vote for either of these two. Far too many professed believers are quite willing to lay aside their "first Love" when it comes to Politics.
Does the following ring a bell?

Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.

If America "rises from the ashes," which I don't see America in ashes........but, IF it does, it WILL NOT be because of Trump.

:)
LOL it will probably have more to do with whoever is elected in 2024, if there is still a USA then...

but God causes nations to prosper, and to fall.
i think we should take the two candidates we're faced with as a sure sign that the Lord intends to judge America.
both of them are "tools"

Which btw I wanted to ask you if you have changed your mind on anything that you once supported or stood up for ten yrs back?
well i think about 10 years ago i thought Jephthah didn't actually kill his daughter, but now i think he actually did . .
and i used to like taco bell -- but i think that was actually closer to 20 years ago . . or 25 . .

but politically?
no.

why, you trying to justify some wishful thinking about Trump?
gonna vote for him based on imagining that he's someone other than who he is?

It is my belief that many have been deceived in thinking Trump can unit this country.
What I see is that we have a choice between two people, that no matter who is elected, that divide will only become greater and may very well lead to violence.
Conservatives live and let live while liberals are antagonistic cesspools of civil unrest.

I'm locked and loaded. If liberals don't start nothin' there won't be nothin'.

whoever becomes president, i'll still pay my taxes, and i won't slander them while they are in office.
but Caesar doesn't own my vote or my opinion.

I don't understand the premise of your last sentence.

And if Trump wins, I'm going to hold you to your first sentence. :)

In real life, saying something and people misunderstanding it, happens all the time in my experience.

i meant that i don't think rendering to caeser means i have to vote for anyone in particular - and doesn't mean i have to toe some party line as far as supporting any candidate. and that i don't have to share the same opinion as Obama or whoever becomes president to still honor them as president.

and please do -- i fussed enough about it to others over our current president; i certainly don't want to be hypocritical about it. and unless Sanders is elected - and even if he is - i'm probably going to be tempted to fuss about them. i ought to do that in a respectful way as much as possible for the sake of the office they hold :)

By saying Christians hate gays it makes it easier for them to justify hating Christians. They do not understand the concept of 'hate the sin, not the sinner," because they do not understand, or even recognize God and His mercy, grace, and love.

Well we could be like the apathetic Germans in 1933 that stayed home and didn't vote.

I listened to Trump on Hannity today. He said that nafta is a disaster and tpp will be even more of a disaster. Trump said he will impose a 35% tax on carrier if they move to mexico. We need to get tough with these corporations if they choose to throw the American worker under the bus.
a new tax...how conservative of him...

yes let's get the government even more deeply involved in micromanaging business...because that has worked sooo well for us thus far...

We are talking about an import tax on a business who chooses to throw the american worker under the bus by moving to mexico for the purpose of cheap labor.
