Just got done studying some reference material from Michelin in regards to the field I've focused on. Really good stuff if you want something to help reinforce the concepts you've been taught in school like I have. I aim to join Michelin as my step up in employment once I get some experience under my belt. Get used to the working life and all that. Some might ask "Cool but, why not just join them as your starting position?" Problem is that my graduation date is still a long ways from taking the recruitment tests. Michelin only offers to employ people at certain times. I don't want to wait any longer than I need to find employment. Besides, at this point in my life. I guess I can't be too picky.

What have they done to the earth?
What have they done to our fair sister?
Ravaged and plundered and ripped her and bit her
Stuck her with knives in the side of the dawn
And tied her with fences and dragged her down

That about describes how I feel, thanks Jimmy! :p

I think I was in that purple haze that he sang about!
Supposedly he had a dream, he was in the ocean, and there was a purple mist in the sea......it wasn't a pleasant thing, though.....it was engulfing him, and he thought he might drown or suffocate.

But get this....in the dream, Jesus rescued him! \:D/

Also, supposedly, he wanted to sing Purple Haze Jesus Saves, in the song,
and had some other lyrics to add in along those lines, but the producers or promoters...somebody, I'm not sure who...decided against it, and kept the length of the song shorter, as it is now.

Most songs on a debut album in those days, ('66-'67), were brief to fit the possibility of being a 'hit record for radio' (I've heard)

Well that just stinks!
Father in heaven, please bless magenta with your healing touch, Lord,
bless her and grant her the rest and refreshing and energy that she needs to continue to carry out the things you've laid before her ... to praise you and help others do the same.
We thank you Father, for magenta and the sentiments she posts here to encourage us in the faith, and we know how much of a downer it can be trying to help others when we ourselves don't feel so good, so please, Lord, heal magenta and get her back to feeling good we pray and thank you in Jesus' name. Amen. ♡ :)

"Pray without ceasing."
1 Thessalonians 5:17
We think rightly or wrongly about prayer according to the conception we have in our minds of prayer. If we think of prayer as the breath in our lungs and the blood from our hearts, we think rightly. The blood flows ceaselessly, and breathing continues ceaselessly; we are not conscious of it, but it is always going on. We are not always conscious of Jesus keeping us in perfect joint with God, but if we are obeying Him, He always is. Prayer is not an exercise, it is the life. Beware of anything that stops ejaculatory prayer. "Pray without ceasing," keep the childlike habit of ejaculatory prayer in your heart to God all the time.
Jesus never mentioned unanswered prayer, He had the boundless certainty that prayer is always answered. Have we by the Spirit the unspeakable certainty that Jesus had about prayer, or do we think of the times when God does not seem to have answered prayer? "Every one that asketh receiveth." We say - "But…, but . . ." God answers prayer in the best way, not sometimes, but every time, although the immediate manifestation of the answer in the domain in which we want it may not always follow. Do we expect God to answer prayer?
The danger with us is that we want to water down the things that Jesus says and make them mean something in accordance with common sense; if it were only common sense, it was not worth while for Him to say it. The things Jesus says about prayer are supernatural revelations.

By Oswald Chambers

This may be the most important thing I read today. Wow.

I am a vegan. Have been a strict one for 23 years, never wavering. I was not concerned about animals or the planet when I first started. But quickly, I began to change my views.
So I certainly feel anguish about what we have done to this planet of ours. Large, but small. All interconnected. The small algae in the oceans are a key, that's right, a key factor in our earths ecological system.
Saying all that, when God threw us out of the garden, and who can argue with His righteousness, He knew we would strive to create our own comfort. And he knew the secrets of that lay in our plants, and animals, and earth itself. He knew man's ignorance and selfishness would cause a pillage of planetary proportions.
I guess that is one reason why Jesus is coming before there is nothing remaining to destroy.
The sad history of man. Oh thank God for our savior.
