and if you are one of those members, please feel free to join in. :)

It's probably all one person, signing up as several people. This forum seems to have nothing in place to limit that kind of thing.

it took me a day or two to realize that's a possibility.
the motive behind it, though, has me stumped!

Well, the ALL CAPS and the too-long-name indicates they are not that familiar with forums, so maybe they are just shy (and maybe young)

They are a troll or someone who is offended with CC using their screen name to display a message.

No idea, but they give me likes, so I like them.

It's obvious that it's all the same person. They've liked on my posts, but never post anything of their own.

Yeah, that sinking feeling when it says you have 15 likes and then you realise it's just that nutcase again

I just realised I shouldn't have used the word nutcase, I'm sorry I did that but it's too late for me to edit now.

The ones that use the like bar as a bilboard advertisement? LOL

It would be great if there was a feature to turn off the Like bars from open view so much.

I had a difficult time reading that one, but I blew it up and it says "penance"

For example (I went fetched "do penance" on the net)

You could google it to find out, would be pretty easy to do.

Maybe repaholics or likaholics. On cf you had people who would give likes to everyone.

Repaholics Sub-forum | Christian Forums
Yeah, I liked CF better the old way and I also liked the repping system but not for anything other then a quick backdoor mode for communications between posters, than the whole online blackslapping/ flattery system, but thats just me. Their system didnt limit you to spread rep around, which was nice because I never really used it thinking it meant anything, when it limits you to spread the sweet stuff around before you can rep another I find that fustrating, but there is always PM. On the old forum we had more discussions going on behind then on the front and we had a blast, when they removed that (updated the forum) it became a drag. Perhaps just to us older folks the younger love the bells and whistles and these sorts of things mean something to them.

But I dont care to let the world know what I like when I do sometimes, and besides I dont always like something 100% so its not a like (really) sometimes its a yeah okay I see where you are coming from, or thank you or, I gotcha (because I dont feel like going there I will go with that and wont argue with the rest. I miss the private. If I was a teenager I would probably prefer the more open/public I think.

But yeah they had these forums for reps by those who took it seriously and wanted to "appear" as something, so you would see them in these threads and no one worth their salt could take them seriously, that sort of backfired.

It was funny. People would ask: what exactly did you like about my post?
No answer. They just liked all the posts without even reading them I'm afraid.
