Thanks! That helps explain what was meant - but I guess also if the words were from Joseph Prince then you are really explaining his view - and you obviously agree.
You are welcome....and I firmly believe that condemnation definitely is a product of the fall of Adam and the introduction of sin into this world. I believe it has a "voice" too because I have heard it a lot - that accusing voice that contradicts what Jesus did for us with His shed blood and that He has released us from our sins.

Personally I believe this voice is part of the mystery of iniquity that was released in the world when sin entered it. I also believe that satan and his horde ( I hardly doubt he has bothered himself with me as he has bigger fish to accuse of things ) can also come at us in certain times and assault our minds with condemnation. Satan is called the accuser so his minions would do the same thing.

Jesus' blood takes away the sin and the knowledge of that frees our minds from the condemnation of it and this knowing we are free from sin - this enables the empowering aspect of grace to flow in our lives to live outwardly who we are in Christ now - in our new creation - created in righteousness and holiness.
Yes indeed "knowing" ...accept it, believe it, receive it .....take advantage of His grace that is what pleases Him, what He expects and wants.

Amen

8. 3. Strive not with a man that is full of tongue, and heap not wood upon his fire. 4. Jest not with a rude man, lest thy ancestors be disgraced. 5. Reproach not a man that turneth from sin, but remember that we are all worthy of punishment. 6. Dishonour not a man in his old age: for even some of us wax old. 7. Rejoice not over thy greatest enemy being dead, but remember that we die all. 8. Despise not the discourse of the wise, but acquaint thyself with their proverbs: for of them thou shalt learn instruction, and how to serve great men with ease. 9. Miss not the discourse of the elders: for they also learned of their fathers, and of them thou shalt learn understanding, and to give answer as need requireth. 10. Kindle not the coals of a sinner, lest thou be burnt with the flame of his fire. 11. Rise not up [in anger] at the presence of an injurious person, lest he lie in wait to entrap thee in thy words 12. Lend not unto him that is mightier than thyself; for if thou lendest him, count it but lost. 13. Be not surety above thy power: for if thou be surety, take care to pay it. 14. Go not to law with a judge; for they will judge for him according to his honour. 15. Travel not by the way with a bold fellow, lest he become grievous unto thee: for he will do according to his own will, and thou shalt perish with him through his folly. 16. Strive not with an angry man, and go not with him into a solitary place: for blood is as nothing in his sight, and where there is no help, he will overthrow thee. 17. Consult not with a fool; for he cannot keep counsel. 18. Do no secret thing before a stranger; for thou knowest not what he will bring forth. 19. Open not thine heart to every man, lest he requite thee with a shrewd turn.

[TD="colspan: 3, align: left"] When you have a plant with sickly leaves, it would be foolish to just treat the leaves without knowing the root cause of the problem. Similarly, when “leaves” of sickness, poverty and destructive habits start sprouting in your life, you need to know what the root cause is.

Experts will tell you that it is stress. They may go a little deeper and say that it is fear—fear of the future, of rejection, of loss, of death and so on. But is fear really the root? Or is there something deeper than fear?

The Bible shows us that the most fundamental cause of problems in our lives is condemnation. With condemnation comes fear. Fear then induces stress which brings about the symptoms of the curse.

This is what happened to Adam. Long before he faced poverty, sickness and eventually death, he had stress. Because of his sin, God told him, “In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground.” (Genesis 3:19) Sweat speaks of stress.

But before there was stress, there was fear because Adam told God, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” (Genesis 3:10)

But what made Adam fearful? Adam only feared when, seeing his nakedness, he realized that he had sinned against God. He felt so ashamed and condemned that he hid himself. God then asked him, “Who told you that you were naked?” (Genesis 3:11) There was no one else in the garden other than Adam and Eve, so we know that it was probably the devil who told Adam that he was naked.

My friend, condemnation is the root cause of the symptoms of the curse manifesting in your life. That is why you need to know that at the cross, God took all your sins, put them on Jesus and unleashed the full fury of His wrath against them until Jesus cried out, “It is finished!”

All your sins have been completely punished in the body of Christ who was condemned for you. The root cause of all your problems has been dealt with. This means that the devil cannot enforce the curse in your life apart from your receiving condemnation. So come to the place of no condemnation and no sick leaves will sprout in your life!

I don't fully agree, what is the root cause of condemnation? Compromise
Sin is what condemned us to death. Our actions condemn us.
Sure our sins have been paid for in full and we can be forgiven of our sins which means no condemnation.
When i sin my conscience condemns me and leads me to repentance. The devil trys to tell me i'm not forgiven or that i can't be forgiven but the condemnation comes because i have sinned.

GOod morning TMS!
There is another aspect of condemnation too, that I have seen and experienced.
It is that sometimes, when I have drifted away from my Lord and gotten myself into some misery, when I say, I will go back to my fathersh ouse, it's like the devil sort of...whispers...sure, you just think you can go back a million times? Why should He listen to you after the mess you've made?

Soi t's...I don't know if I can call it a FALSE condemnation, but it IS an attempt to get me to a place where I don't go to HIm, out of shame. I should be ashamed for what I've done, of course, but...I don't know, does what i'm saying make sense?

I agree....Sin is certainly deceitful and it does deceive us and it does bring condemnation with it.

I think what the issue is that it's about how condemnation affects us in light of the truth that Jesus has set us free from this condemnation. Knowing there is no condemnation is what releases the empowering grace to walk in truth. Jesus came to set us free from this condemnation - now that is the good news. When we know we are free from it - we can run to our Lord instead of hiding from Him like Adam did. He is the one that has the mercy and grace for us to live in the New Covenant.

We thank God for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus that sets us fee from the law of sin and death. Condemnation has no hold on us that are in Christ.

Its 8pm here but i'll say good morning anyway. :)
Yer the Devil condemns us he stands their pointing out our sins trying to make us feel so condemned that we give up.
We need to hold to the promises that say we can come to Jesus and find rest. Condemnation is bad when we don't go to Christ and let Him take it from us.
1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

The law condemns us as sinners worthy of death and satan will hold us accountable to every sin to stop us from going to Heaven but we have Christ as our advocate.
1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1Jn 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

This is total ignorance of the symbol of nakedness is scripture. It is always about vulnerability and sin. It is deemed sinful, a disgrace to see another naked. It has sexual and demeaning implications, where you see someones sexual attraction but without the appropriateness of the context of the actual relationship.

It is why in business, you 100% do not want anything to have personal intimacy involved in discussion of a power, political, commercial and otherwise nature.

Adam knew he was naked because he had become a self aware being. He could objectify good and evil, see that there is choice in action and consequences. It was 100% a consequence of eating of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Now for me if you want to summarise the perception of a teacher, their understanding of God, His word and everything spiritual this type of teaching would be it. And unfortunately it would be ignorant, stupid, blind, irrelevant and desperate.

At what stage are we set free from the condemnation? Guilt?
when i sin and feel guilty, an i instantly free from condemnation and guilt?
In my experience i first need to repent and the guilt disappears like a weight is lifted.
The REST isn't mine until i come to Jesus.
Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Act 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out,

Luk 13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Luk 17:3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

If every sin was forgiven from Adam to the second coming than everyone will be saved, because Satan can not condemn anyone as a sinner and can't condemn anyone to death. But Satan will condemn some to death and God will have to agree because they have sins that make them guilty and the condemnation is death. Sin = death.
Praise God we can give our guilt to Jesus.
If no repentance is shown do you think Jesus will take our sins/guilt/condemnation?

The whole sin issue has been dealt with on the cross by Jesus. It is up to us people to either receive what Christ has done and live condemnation free or not to believe.

By all means let's repent and believe the gospel! Let's change our mind on how we view things and instead of relying on ourselves, let's rely totally on what Christ already did for us.

When we believe that we are new creations in Christ - that we have been created in righteousness and holiness - then we will start to live outwardly what Christ has done for us in our new inner man.

God is not a modern day evangelical in that He is obsessed with sin. He is obsessed with His Son who took away the sin of the world. Let's believe in what Christ has already done.

The call of the gospel is to trust completely in Christ alone and allow His life to transform us - the inside man being manifested on the outside as we have our minds renewed to the truth that is in Jesus and then the empowering grace of God will transform us effortlessly

yes agree
if we focus on Jesus and what He has done and is doing all the rest will happen because He will transform us. Love will motivate us but we need to be in love for this to work

Yep. Satan tries to shame you from going home to your Heavenly Father by reminding you of all your mistakes and using them as why you are unworthy, but we need to remember God washed us in the blood of Christ and clothed us. Therefore we should not listen to,lies but run home as soon as God convicts us and calls us to him.

Here again, peter?
You could be more gentle with your tongue perhaps.
Total ignorance? To give your thought and say, It was PROBABLY satan...that's total ignorance? To me, that's just a conversation and a back and forth between brothers. It's like saying, I think this way on it, that it was probably satan. And then another brother might say, hmm...I see it more like this or that...and then another might bring up a verse that occurs to them as relevent. If all remain respectful always guided by love, eventually the Spirit brings a unity in our understanding. Maybe small differences in how we see it or phrase it but a basic and strong unity.
Please brother, just a bit more gentleness? :)
Total ignorance?
This is why you run into such problems with your brothers and sisters.

I have read all the post here and thought I'd address a few findings I have found to possibly shed a brighter light on the subjects.
Ill give those that need it some time to sharpen up their swords and axes as the custom of cc regulations. Lol.

It was posted earlier that to stand before God naked was a sign of being pure and innocent this I found true to a short extent.
Adam and eve were not in need of a covering in their original state, only when sin had been committed a covering was needed and could only be provided by the Lord . What we do to cover sin is not acceptable. We can never stand naked before God again, we need to have the robes of righteousness, Jesus even expressed this in scripture about the man at the wedding feast not having the proper garment as was cast out.
God is always ready to forgive sin that is true but he is more interested on why we have sinned (the intent of the heart) eve sinned to become as God knowing good and evil being tempted Adam sinned because eve did scripture does not say Adam was privy with eve at the time of her conversation with the serpent. Scripture showing that sin is perpetual. Scripture showing by temptation .
This being in line with Jesus becoming sin why because we were yet sinners.
If we look at eve being the church and Adam being Jesus (the second Adam) the story line stays true.
Notice also that Adam blames eve but eve is the one that confessions and tells God how it happened.
Jesus being innocent had nothing to confess before his accusers not saying Adam was innocent but Jesus was.
Also Jesus was in the labor of love sorta speak giving up heaven and all it glory, the throne and his divine existence to become man.
Adam out of the garden, toiling by the sweat of his brow...etc.
Hiding from the truth is what we do best Adam and eve being examples of this in their now fallen state but God will search you out and find you. All great and small will stand before the Lord. The lie from Satan is that God's come to destroy you for sinning, we know that Jesus has come to rescue us for its grip. Condemnation I believe comes from not knowing the Lord , Adam and eve had to be taught the same as you and I about the forgiving and merciful God we have and serve.
