1000 lbs... wow.

11 plates???

Or is it some machine that you just dial in 1000lbs?
Twenty-two 45s and two 5s. The type we have has two bars on bottom and two on top for weights. Sadly, the leg press machine only goes to 300.

1,000lbs is a lot of weight! At 50 years old, 300lbs sounds more like my speed. lol :D

I ran on an incline on the treadmill with ankle weights, triceps, dumbbell push-ups, various leg work, barbell lunges, etc. I can't even remember what else. It was a good workout though.

Last night was the first night of a really hard workout since my cancer surgery. Did Brazilian Jui Jitsu for two hours. Basically non stop rolling the entire time. I am sooooo sore today.

Did 2.2 mile run and 7 miles on the bike this morning. Of course, I then had two sausage/egg/cheese biscuits after, so it may have been for nothing. Oh well lol

Bench press day today. Regular grip, wide grip and incline bench.

Some days are strong bench days and some aren't. I don't quite understand. Probably my technique isn't 100% yet and shows more in the weaker muscles of the arms, shoulders and chest vs the legs and back...

This is my first time doing wide grip. It felt pretty strong. I wonder if I should try it out on heavier sets...?

My regular grip is as narrow as powerlifting rules allow and the wide grip is as wide as the rules allow. So about a 5" difference in grip is about it.

I have been in a bit of a lag the past 12 days. Been working out, just not as consistently as I would like. But I also have been busy and traveling. I did run 3 miles today around 1pm at 88 degrees and bright sunshine. Just about the temps I love to run in...

Does 12 hours on the roof of a barn in 93 degree heat count as a workout?

Depends on what you were doing. If you had a 3 foot fan blowing on you, no. If you were sleeping without the fan, maybe. If you were doing roofmg work, you get the prize for the days most intense work out.
Drink lots of water...

I would definitely count that as a work out. I'm thinking of counting it as a workout for me just reading about it...

I failed at a squat today.

I've never failed a squat before. If I put it on my back I have squatted it.

The weight wasn't even something I have never done before. I did this same weight for 2 reps last month.

It was just bad technique, I think. The weight started going out over my toes and folding me over. I'll have to work on that.

I'm so close to my goal of 4 plates. But this is a bit of a setback, maybe.

That's happened to me a time or two. Usually just a bit of muscle fatigue in my case.

My last two workouts haven't been great. I think I'm just a bit tired mentally & haven't been able to keep my focus. 5 sets became 3.. 12 reps became 8... It's tough to push through like that on heavy days lol.

Didn't think I would be so sore after yesterday.. Mostly did leg stuff this morning. Press, calf raises, squats, thigh abductor, romanian deadlifts, other stuff... also got in some ab work and pull-ups, etc.

Planks are hard enough, so 10 seconds is a great way to start! :)

Good job, Melita!
