Law of diminishing returns. Like AD said, time can be spent, praying, worshiping, evangelizing, etc. I think sometimes I even spend to much time on here.

My brother in law, who is very insecure and a ego maniac, and a ravenous attention seeker, lives his life on FB. He measures his worth by the amount of friends he has, and how many replies he gets to his posts. i know many are not like that, he is a extreme example, but I find it sad...

I have Facebook, but I don't really take photos. I use it more for discussions and catching up with people. I could totally date someone who didn't have Facebook.

I dont have a facebook.
I dont have a twitter.
I dont have a snap chap.

I dont do anything that i feel i need to tell people about. If we go out to a Chinese restaurant then thats between US not yelp/facebook/twitter . If its not related to sports(team pictures) then please no pictures. Just not my thing .
Sure I can date someone who is not connected to social media. Before smart phones and PC we use to call each other and actually meet and socialize. Rule of thumb: Your phone should be used for setting up dates and generally talking only. You can not have a relationship over texting and social media. Simply put "its too impersonal".

Meeting in person is way better than seeing a few online pics

For me it depends on the reason why they don't have facebook...

If it's because they've had problems with a stalker, then sure I can understand that.

If it's because they don't want their personal life tracked by giant social media corporations or the government I can understand that too.

But if it's because they don't want their crazy, gun-toting ex with the long rap sheet to find them, ehhhhhhhhh not so much....

Confession time, I have 3 you tube channels, 2 twitter accounts, 1 Instagram account, 1 tumblr account (just got that one,) 1 Facebook account we three different groups, 3+ Google+ accounts, and who knows how many e-mails. Most of these accounts are for tutorials. And with the exception of Youtube and Facebook, plus 3 different e-mail accounts, I don't use most of these accounts on a daily/weekly basis. Twitter I mainly use to update for the Youtube videos, or if I need to share information with students or clients that I might have.

Alright, alright, I CONFESS!

I have a twitter account I log into...maybe twice a year?

And...yes... ::exhale:: ...a myspace account...that I probably log into as often...

I have no problem at all with dating someone who doesn't use social media.

Especially since I don't use it either. (Sans CC.)

(I've never had any of the popular forms of social media, except for a Twitter account that I had for 2 weeks and deleted.)

Speaking of dating, our local news station posted a photo yesterday of a man with a sign on his front lawn advertising for a female companion. Wowzers, did that guy get a lot of good feedback from people who were also disappointed by dating sites & other social media.

I have Facebook, which I use to keep up with friends and loved ones that I don't get to see as often.

I run a FB business page for my business, and moderate the page for my church. Facebook has been a critical instrument for growth. It's how most people find us, and know that we are alive and active as a church or business.

I am rarely, though, on my phone.

Of course I'd have no problem dating someone who didn't have a social media account. Though I have to admit that having no way to verify that a man is who he says he is would make me cautious. One of the first red flags for a catfish or married cheater is that they tell you they don't do social media, or they have an impersonal account that doesn't include any of their family members or real-life friends. This doesn't mean they aren't for real. But it is something to watch out for.
