You'll find out if you go to hell, because you are in sin, because you don't confess sins or repent of them, so you ARE NOT forgiven, cleansed or righteous.
Not until you confess and repent.

And I mean the Biblical way of repentance and confession, not the false grace teachers way of confessing or repenting.
What you have said is not true at all but that's ok. I bless you in the Name of the Lord Jesus...and have a great day!

Contrary to popular belief to be free in Christ does not mean you are free to sin=license to sin; but rather it means to be freed from the bondage sin once had on you. :)
Hey, you're starting it get it now. Grace alone carries the power to achieve what the law demands.

Do these 2 groups of believers in Christ go to hell because they have been walking after the flesh?

Thank you!

You do greatly err not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God to truly set one free from sin and sinning. God is a God of the Living, not the god of the dead, who are dead in their sins and trespasses.

And again, if they are truly in Christ as you suggest, then they will not be walking after the flesh, because those who are in Christ are walking after the Spirit.

Again what says the scriptures to those who live after the flesh.....Romans 8:13 "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live."

Those who are living after the flesh=living in sin are of the Devil as is written, and being of the Devil they are already the children of hell. Just as we who are born of God's Spirit are no longer walking after the deeds of the flesh, but after the Spirit, and are children of the Kingdom of God, as the Kingdom of God dwells in us.

You cannot abide in sin and also abide in Christ at the same, for in Him is no sin, scripture is very clear. Ongoing sinners and unrighteousness shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Repent! And bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. Awake to righteousness and sin not!

What I said IS TRUE, And you are playing a very dangerous game, I wouldn't like to be you when you stand before God.
You can't have a conscience, It's been seared to sin, and you heart doesn't condemn you when you sin.

would you need faith to believe this quote to be a fact. not any action a believer can or has done. so in simple terms has been done for you, by a god through jesus christ.. etc
has this quote , got anything to do with a believer, see, the spirit of life(holy spirit has set you free, from the law of sin, and death.)
Romans 8: Life in the Spirit
1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death Romans 8: Life in the Spirit

So, in your theory the Christian that is slandering others or have malice ( which is insulting people and name-calling ) and the person that has not been able to control their over eating - they go to hell? I'm not getting a clear answer from you yet so the question is in blue? Obviously this is not bearing good fruit.

Is this is what you are saying? Because these ones are walking after the flesh and there are dozens more scenarios where this is true too. Do, these people go to hell in your theory on "walking after the flesh and death"?

Heb 6:1 speaks of not laying again the same faith foundation but rather do as Peter says add to your faith 2 Peter 1:5.

I think it strange when speaking to some who have been in the Lord for a quarter century how they cant get beyond laying the foundation and insist on laying it again and again and again and again and again and again and cant go anywhere from there. Anything encouraging adding to the very basis (faith) by which we have access into the grace by which we stand and by the same are the works that accompany the faith (that be not dead) is like an enemy of what was first laid.

Said I was stepping out and waiting for the comparisons I love the most but come back to say just that.

It is your faulty reasoning and faulty doctrine that has led you to believe that Christians are sinners and will never be freed from sin, which is contrary to scripture and contrary to the words of Jesus Christ. You look at yourself and think the scriptures must be wrong, so you try to twist the words of God to conform to your own sinful image, instead of actually believing in the words of Jesus and in the power of God to transform you into the image of God's Son. Faith is believing in what God's words say is true, but you reject the Truth.

To be a Christian used to mean to be Christ like. Is Christ a sinner? Clearly your definition of a believer and being in Christ is much different than mine, as I believe you will know a true born again Christian by their fruit.

Can someone that wilfully sins by having malice and slander or hatred ( which are all works of the flesh ) and not repenting of them go to heaven if they die tonight?

I want to know about this "living after the flesh" idea.

I believe this question will reveal some things.
It is a legitimate question about "real life" situations and living after the flesh.

Answer the question below so that we understand what "living after the flesh" looks like in real life:

Let's look at this sin business for a bit. Slander is just as much a sin as fornication. ( Gal. 5 )

So, let's say someone has been slandering other people for years. All of a sudden they die...
does this one that was slandering people now not go to heaven?

...in some people's thinking they would go to hell because they have been "living after the flesh"?

Or what about gluttony which is a sin - what if someone has a battle with overeating all the time and they die -
do they go to hell because they were not able to overcome this as this is "living after the flesh" too?

These 2 scenarios above would be people "living in the flesh" and as you call being a servant to sin ( even though they are free in Christ but don't know it yet and haven't gown up in the Lord enough spiritually to overcome them ).

These 2 groups of people in some people's theology would not be children of God and thus go to hell..
is that right?

My opinion? I know you didn't ask me - but here goes - foot in mouth!!

I don't think the basis of getting to heaven is the sins we commit - it is based on our faith in God.

The Christian can and may commit any of the sins you mention, but if his faith is in Christ, any and all are forgiven because of the blood of Jesus Christ.

Chester here answered the question and I agree with Him. This is why I say we need to preach and teach the grace of Christ as it is the only thing that will instruct us how to live godly in this present world. Titius 2:11-12

This will bear much fruit to the glory of God alone!

Thank you Chester for your answer! I'm in total agreement with you as I suppose most Christians are.

Ok, thanks everyone! I just wanted to see how this question worked out in real life. The Lord bless you all and have a great day!

Just adding this to the above

Peter tells us that we are to add to our faith (speaking of making ones calling and election sure).

Peter also says, if those things (which are found in 2 Peter 1:5-7) be in you
that these are they which
make us that we shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Of those same things is godliness, ( not ungodliness) which is also according to what the grace of God teaches us (in Titus 2:12)

From there (even the faith) forward (adding to the same) if these be not in us (and abound) its these which have forgotten they have been cleansed from their past sins.

Peter starts at the faith (even of Christ) the foundation of believing on him and obeying his words ( Luke 6:49) which things follow, and those which do are of "those things" (in 2 Peter 1:5-7) which if the same be not in them (abounding) is of they which have forgotten they were purged already from their old sins (that they might go on and be fruitful) and not remain unfruitful.

So again, Peter starting at the faith (speaking to adding to it) and following it thru unto the perfection (namely, and lastly) unto charity which is also the bond of perfectness (Col 3:14) which we are to go onto (as it is our love is made perfect)

From here

2Peter 1:5-10 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness;and to brotherly kindness charity (which is the bond of perfectness) Col 3:14 which "we" are to put on

Then he goes on to say,

2 Peter 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He that lacketh the above

2Peter 1:9 But he that lacketh (( these things )) is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged (( from )) his old sins.

2 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall

2 Peter 1:11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Adding
to the faith and fighting the good fight of faith is comparable to these things

1 Cr 9:25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things.

The difference between striving for mastery in things temporal and eternal

Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

1 Cr 9:26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

1 Cr 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Which also mirrors Pauls instruction to Timothy to the taking heed to thyself and thy doctrine 1 Ti 4:16 (even as one who is preaching to others as Paul) and after preaching to others/the doctrine (which is according to godliness) isnt disqualified on the above or a castaway.

1 John 2:29
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
Sure, putting on the new man in Christ is like putting on Jesus Christ, and we know Jesus Christ is not a sinner. So it should be obvious that walking in the way Jesus walked =in holiness and in righteousness should also be the way a born again Christian should walk. And using the language in John 2:29 referring to what it looks like to abide in Him and be born of Him, we get confirmation of what it also looks like for those who are born of God here.....

1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1 John 5:18
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
