Isaiah 49: The Servant of the LORD

"It is too light a thing that you should be my servant

9. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

10. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 11. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

without it . etc
thoughts please.
If we, as we ought, understand that truth must be in an absolute sense, singular per defined issue.....

Then on what basis are their thousands {I personally do NOT "buy" the "30,000" figure, of differing Protestant sets of faith-beliefs and churches?

Then Pope Benedict XVI addressed this issue by sharing: "THERE CAN'T BE YOUR TRUTH AND MY TRUTH OR THERE WOULD BE NO TRUTH"

How then can this be disproved?

God Bless you

out of context scripture is falsehood. anyone can quote scripture, the key fact is quoting in context.

its the truth that sets you free, not wrong quoted scripture. etc

for example.

"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber.

A thought on truth and love:

If you see truth and love as opposites, you do not understand either one.

Truth and love must overlap one another, and you cannot have one without the other.

If I say - "I love you" but am not willing to tell you if you are sinning unto death (truth) (etc.), then I do not really love you.
If I say - "This is Biblical truth" - and quote a Bilbe verse and pound the pulpit, and say - you are going to hell if you keep on . . . (etc.), but if I do not love you - then I am not telling you "the truth".

Truth and love are completely compatible with each other; and they cannot exist without each other.

14. But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

20. For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

21. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

22. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24. For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
