This is written to G777 and others who understand what he says.
From Jude, this morning, in my time with our Lord:
"...defend the faith...I say this because some...[have been] saying that Gods' marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives...they have denied our...Lord...so I want to remind you...that Jesus first rescued...Israel [this was before us]...but He later destroyed those who did not remain faithful."
Jude has given a description even better than "hyper grace" - "Gods' marvelous grace." And he is pointing out that it is a faith issue. The which none of us should condemn a man for. Don't we even ask our Lord often - Lord, I DO believe, please help my areas of unbelief and mistrust?
Jude goes on to describe these who fight and argue against Gods' marvelous grace by saying that it allows and causes men to live immoral and ungodly lives. In these further descriptions, those who argue against it in here (in forum), do not fit the descriptions. And I don't believe God sees them that way either.
I believe instead that it is as you have said, G777. That they just have not yet seen what a deep and never-ending well this marvelous grace of God toward us really is.
But none of us will be judged by light we did not yet receive. (That's impossible). We will only be judged by light we have received but later turn away from, preferring self-deceit, which self-deceit is the useless conversation/tradition/way of life that we received from our fathers.
An apostle in another place clearly states why we turn away from light - because we are afraid (just like Adam was) that it will expose our inner sins and we choose instead to hide them through self-deceit.
But we know how faithful our Lord has been to us, to lead us through every danger. And we know He will be just as faithful to them who argue that His marvelous grace leads us to live ungodly in this world. (In fact, we see that they don't even know, or believe, it is what they are doing. And we know God forgives things done in ignorance, as Paul tells us).
We can let them call us unbelievers, heretics, etc. But what we can't do, we who have been given more light, is to revile back and respond in kind. To us who have been given more, more is required. Especially since we know, as Jude has pointed out, that it is a faith issue. A want of more trust in Gods' marvelous grace.
So that is what I wanted to share with you guys. I won't be back to argue with anyone. That wasn't my intent. And if I was sure I wouldn't have forgotten any of you, I would have sent it by pm to each of you, but I know I would have missed someone, so posted it here.
I might not be able to come back in again today. Continue to defend the faith. Just don't do it in a way that grieves our Lord and then you will be assured that you are pleasing to Him in how you carry yourself before all men, whether believers or unbelievers.
I am so thankful He has given me so many dear brothers and sisters. I cry whenever I think about it, amazed and joyful that He has given us to each other!
