.... Here in Finland we have this "black sausage" usually eaten with lingonberry jam. Its made from blood. Sounds as bad is tastes but its like national treat in some cities in here :S
My dad likes it, I don't get it :p We call it what it is: Blodpølse (blood sausage).
I think the Scots tend to serve it with haggis sometimes.

Ewwww... Dont ask me why its made in here (and how on earth are some people willing to eat it :D ). Also another food is dessert called "Mämmi". People eat it with milk or cream. Its like brown porridge type food. I dont eat bloodsausages , but Mämmi goes sometimes. Usually its served on Easter holidays

Don't know if it's unusual....but Jackfruit chips are great....

Odd that a jackfruit when ripe can be tasting so sweet and delicious but when fried it becomes more of a french fry texture with less sweetness.

But watch out! A few chips can give you massive gas lol ;) not good to eat if your in company....

sometimes in some places, gas can be fun...

Garbage plates.

Apparently, it is only a Rochester thing (which is locatedin NY)

Jimmy Kimmel brought up a place that's only 10 minutes away from me on his show and the whole city of Rochester rejoiced ;)

According to Urban Dictionary, a garbage plate is the following: "An awesome meal that consist of.. Home Fries, Hot Dog or Hamburger, Mac Salad, Baked Beans, Hot Sauce and LOADS OF KETCHUP"

However, I don't use ketchup. You can add more stuff to it, if it's available at the restaurant you order from. Typically, I get chicken fingers and hamburger, with home fries and mac and cheese. And the idea is to mix it ALL up to make it look like "garbage," hence the phrase, "garbage plate."

It's pretty good, although it sounds nasty.

I can't cook. I do love my Cheerios, chicken at El Pollo Loco, orange juice, and newly discovered Marie Callender's Beef and Broccoli frozen dinners.

at least you're getting some much 'fiber', you've got a slight edge but be very careful on those
pre-packaged flitter meals, you wouldn't believe what they put in that stuff...

In the freezer at Iceland (in the UK), I found meat of rabbit, wild boar and.... alligator (sadly it was minced, but still)
HAD to try it of course. :D

alligator is the same as eating a snake, be very careful and honor yourself...

Duck Embryol
Cow Penis

I'm Americanized and born in Murica' never experienced these foods before and would never plan to.

these are natural foods that would probably never harm your body!
good luck with what is described as burgers? and French-fries?
only God knows what people are really putting into these foods...

years ago, a certain popular burger sight was caught using 'worms' as its meat...

That is very true. I stick to eating chicken, beef, pork, fish, veggies and fruits.

Although, duck embryol is pretty good. Tried it. Blood Sausage is also extremely good.

That duck egg called balut here is alright. but there is this local specialty many fiipinos like to eat w/ soft white rice cakes adn they match, they say. I have tasted dinuguan when small, but after i realized what it was, i have stopped eating it. dugo=blood, and dinuguan is a dish cooked w/ pork blood that has solidified, w/ vinegar, soysauce, etc. No wonder many do get sick.. i know members of the INK or Iglesia ni Kristo denomination here do not eat that, but most other locals do not question and just grew up w/ that, so...

it also tells you not to wear mixed fibres clothing or grow two different kinds of grain in the same field :)

It seemed in the 70's when I was a kid that during the holidays there was a lot of Jello dishes. My Mom is from Sweden and she'd make this awful looking thing called Sill Salad. I remember it had I think Anchovies mixed in with some other stuff molded together. She and my grandparents loved it.

We have a salad here called Waldorf Salad, I like that, it has, apples, grapes, celery, walnuts and it's mixed with a heavy cream a little mayonnaise and sugar. My Mom would make that at Christmas, it's still one of my favorites.
