I actually agree with this, but having diarrhea of the mouth doesn't really help matters. I think a lot of it is in context, it's just Trump speaks emotionally and not pragmatically... it's why he's so popular with some folks.... it's why he can shoot someone in daylight and people would still follow him (unless that quote was taken out of context too??).

You mean like running for President - He is a much better entertainer as in You're Fired....that is more the context he belongs in.

Out of context in the sense that Mr. Trump would actually consider doing as much to prove his point ? Absolutely. Taken out of context entirely. Any honest person already knows this. It's a sad testimony when one accepts what they know to be untrue as the truth for the sake of their political leanings. This comment is speaking in general terms of today's American electorate.

Anyone who thinks Trump actually would put that to the test is a little touched.

I don't think anyone thinks Donald would really do that... I don't know if anyone has ever made that claim, certainly not me. Strawman? He set up a hypothetical scenario. I doubt Trump would ever do that, but I don't doubt the truthfulness of his words in that quote. Reading the news forum will only confirm Trump's quote to be accurate in that given scenario.

I take a look at a guy like Ben Carson. The media tried slandering him because he "wasn't one of their own." Is there any, or was there any, some form of controversy or scandal surrounding him based on what he said? One thing about the media is they report whatever is said. Trump has a bad habit of inserting his foot into his mouth. A lot of times the media scews it for their gain. The other is Trump just not using common sense, and either doing/saying something unintelligent/rude, or just playing right into the media's and Hillary's hands.

It was out of context in the sense Trump isn't evil enough to do something like that. It was perfectly in context, though, because the meaning of his comment was that his supporters are (in his term) a bunch of idiots that could praise him for anything and everything. That is why he said that.

Well, being in the same business as Trump, (though several billion dollars his junior) I have to dispute that comment. There are not many men in the history of the world who have been as successful as builders, deal makers, negotiators, and bringing in huge projects under budget and ahead of schedule as he is.

I have said this same thing several times when his candid mouth upset me...... BUT I have also been proven dead-wrong just as many times. I don't think many of us really see what he is doing until it comes to be successful for him. Not that this will ALWAYS be the case, but it has been so far.

When Donald J.Trump said that he will build a wall and Mexico will pay for It,,the media didn't take his words out of context.

And I will bet you dollars to donuts that, if elected, that very thing will happen.

Now, does that mean that Mexico will directly pay the workers who construct the wall? Probably not. That would be a foolish thing to expect. (You DO have to think a little bit for yourself in this world.) I think it means that Trump will have Mexico increasing their payments to us for various things that they are now taking us to the cleaners over, to be more than enough to offset every dime building that wall will cost.

They (mexican govt) should pay for the immigrant mothers who have babies in America but cannot pay so the taxpayer eats the bill for an illegal immigrant child.....another reason why healthcare costs are so high....b/c of the hippocratic oath of always helping and doing no harm.....

Perhaps this could be a slightly more complicated problem that will take more study and even scrutiny on an individual, case-by-case basis.

I do not know if Trump is shrewd or cavalier? He should consider that he is not in a boardroom but the public arena. His children seem more sensible than he most of the time so all this may be a ruse to enhance his position when it benefits him the most.

John McCain ridiculed Trump's supporters early in the campaign, so Trump said McCain is no hero. The press loves to remind us that Trump said McCain is no hero, while forgetting to remind us that McCain ridiculed Trump's supporters.
