I'm guilty of that. I demonstrate but don't talk. I despise the sound of my recorded voice. Following the steps of what I am doing should be enough. That's just me though.
I don't make videos, but I don't like the sound of my voice. One of my Sister's and I sound a lot alike, but to me it sounds better on her then it does me. I have a low voice. There was an Seinfeld episode about a woman who was a low talker, that's me.

Am I the only person who is grossed out by restaurant buffet's and public hot tubs? Like the hot tubs at the YMCA.

Total snob!! I was at a one of our local chain restaurants called Eat N Park, they have a salad bar, my Husband ordered it, and when he does , he always says, yes I know it grosses you out. Anyhow he was up there and I saw this other man go up, take a spoon of this jello salad, put the Jello on his plate then stick the spoon back in, took some more out, eat some and put the spoon back in. I ran up and said, no Jello, no Jello, he thought I was crazy, then I told the waitress and a bunch of people descended on that bar and clean everything. The man was slow and had a care taker with him, so he wasn't purposely being a creep.

Everytime I would walk by that hot tub at the Y, there'd be a bunch of hairy men hanging out in there and brown foam on the top.

It would take an hour for me to list everything that grosses me out enough to lose my appetite, but I won't get into it. I'm not high maintenance I just have issues with bug's on food, body hair and sharing utensils. Blah.

How do you feel about the TV commercial where the gal sees the bar of soap on the sink with all the hair stuck to it?

I'm not poking fun at you, honestly. I think people, even at their squeaky-clean best are filthy animals. I go grocery shopping with a mask and sanitary wipes at the ready.

I don't think I've seen that commercial. It would gross me out for sure.

I work at a laundromat one or two evenings a week. We do laundry, wash, dry fold service . I have washed clothes for people who have no shame. I won't get into it . We have washed clothes for elderly and disabled people and that I understand some thing's, but others young people who pretty much bounce in, there are just something's I'd buy new or wash it myself before I'd let a stranger see it. We have a few functioning alcoholics and you know I want them to get better, but there are just some stains that don't come out. I'd skip the beer and buy some new undergarments. And young men who wear Axe body spray and smoke anything, you can't get that smell out. My Sister manages this place and she always say's, wear gloves, um yeah you don't have to tell me that. I'd wear a hazmat suit if they had them.

When Golden Corral came out with their chocolate fountain promotion...it is such a horrid idea.
I get this mental picture of chicken wings floating in the chocolate....

I'm ok with buffets. Out here all businesses are required to have their health dept. grade posted in clear view at the entrance. If it's not an A, then I'll think twice about eating there, but I haven't seen one that didn't have an A yet and the standards are pretty high too.

You won't catch me in any public hot tub though. Yuck!

Oh that's gross. We used to have an Old Country Buffet here, we went a couple of time's, I didn't care for it. I can't eat that much at one time, and everything tasted like plastic to me.

...and then there's the other side of the coin.. people who talk way too much in their how-to videos, especially the ones who do it while filming a close-up of their face because they know everyone clicked to see their face and not how to actually do anything....

You know...we love so many dreams and stories, movies and books and shows, because they show us almost or exactly what we want to see; tell us what we want to hear; and may even for a moment cause us to feel how we want to feel....

...but, you see...that's just the thing about fantasy & fiction... It's not real. Enevitably at some point the dream will end, and we have to wake up. Once the stories are finished, the feelings and memories are false ones...not our own, but others.

If we try to always live there (as so many of us do, myself included), we're just left constantly running away, and never really changing or growing or healing or experiencing anything of our own.

A dream from which you never wake is a coma, and death and time are things we cannot outrun. So, what's left? Will I spend my life without ever really buying anything? Will I die without having lived? Will I vicariously live through lies of lives which are not my own?

It doesn't work... It just doesn't work. No matter how many times we try to make something it's not, we always have to come back to the truth. We will be inescapably faced with it one day, and forcibly be held accountable for all we have or have not done. Will that be a happy day? A fearful one?

I hope we can overcome our madness. I pray God would break myself and others away from the fray. I want to learn and hope and trust and pray, and come to know and better know the few things that cannot be taken away.

Exactly. Or the people that just can't seem to get out of their mouths what they want to say and the camera moves so much it makes you seasick. Gah...gets on my nerves. Probably one of the reasons I deleted all my old videos off my YouTube channel and only have a few of me video capturing playing video games.

They told me they needed me to work until 7pm today. They sent me home an hour early.

NOOOOO! I eat chocolate by the hour, calculating when my blood-caffeine level will drop and matching it to when I leave work. Now I'm hyper and I have nothing to do!

Last year I signed up for Amazon prime, I found that we hardly used it, so I was going to cancel, well I forgot and as of yesterday I'm a prime member again. Goodbye 100 dollar's. Not a great week to have that surprise.

You're one of the lucky ones. The regular fee isn't how they make so much money from Amazon Prime. It's the buyer's knowledge that he can get all sorts of things with free second day shipping. You wouldn't BELIEVE how much some people will buy on those terms, things they would never have bought before, impulse buys out the ears... just because their computer is connected to their doorbell now.

The thing to do on Prime is to order all the heavy stuff. Why lug a big bag of dog food out to the parking lot when you can have it delivered to your door? My neighbor - the goat guy that lives across the road uses it for goat food and his wife has cats and she gets cat litter and whatever and he told me they actually can get it cheaper than if they bought it at the store. Sounds like a pretty good thing to me especially if you live in a rural area.

It sounds like a good deal though...at least for me. You see there are a lot of books on Amazon that cost about a penny each. Some of them are awesome, but of course the standard shipping for books is $3.99. If I didn't have to pay that, I would go crazy and buy buy buy a bunch of them. ;):p
