I'm not a good Christian either, but the opening post reeks of pride and bitterness.

Yes; but I've been proud and bitter before. It happens.

It was supposed to. That's part of what makes it biting humor.

How was the whole point and aim of the OP so completely missed and misunderstood?

1. I don't have hate for any group. In order to hate something, you first have to love it. I don't love anything. Therefore, I don't hate anything. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

2. I won't throw the Catholic Church in the trash. Sorry if that upsets you. Deal with it. I also won't condemn the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Mormon Church, the Jehovah's Witnesses, 7th-day Adventists or any other group many of you like to bag on.

3. I don't think less of homosexuals, drug-addicts, adulterers, or any other group you think I should look down my nose at. Sorry if it upsets you. Deal with it.

4. I don't throw Bible verses around. Never have, never will. If I want to know what the Bible says, I will read it. If I can make my own point without needing to resort to shoving Scripture in your face, then I will make my own point. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

5. I don't have an opinion about doctrines. Many of them, I have no opinion because I have never looked into them. Many of them, I have no opinion because I think they are silly things to bicker about and don't serve any useful purpose. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

6. I have no interest in playing the whole 'I am holier than thou art" game that goes on. Those kinds of games stopped being entertaining in 3rd grade back when farts and boogers were still funny. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

7. I'm not here to make friends. I don't do friendships. I'm here to learn, to read, and to occasionally interact with people on my terms. On the flip side, I am not here to make enemies. You are free to dislike me all you want, and it won't make any impact on me. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

8. I get no joy or thrill out of having to explain myself because people can't bother to read carefully and comprehend what they are reading. It's a battle I don't care to fight. I've fought enough in my life. School bullies, combat in the military, two ex-wives, bosses, clients, and now strangers on the Internet. No thanks. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

9. I feel no need to advertise my views just to invite criticism from people I don't know nor respect. My views are mine, and I am under no obligation to defend them to you or anyone else. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.

10. My reasons for becoming a Christian are my own. What kind of Christian I am is no doubt vastly different than yours, and no doubt you are sure I am "doing it wrong". You are entitled to your opinion. Sorry if this upsets you. Deal with it.
Rebuttal:
1. I hate liver. I have never loved liver. It was revulsion at first bite. Deal with it.

7. You might end up being friends with people on here anyway. Deal with it.

Uh... that's just not logical.

if I make a post with edge, I know I am gonna get some flack. I avoid some people here for that very reason.
So you give flack and don't like it in return?
Could be why many ignore you quickly.

Wait...I thought all this time we were supposed to be "good" Christians according to GOD'S standard; but it's supposed to be by CC's, huh? I gotta go look this up!

You do BDF. Bitterness is very likely, isn't it?

You just went out of your way to make a big post to tell everyone they are wrong, and should stop telling you you're wrong because it's wrong to tell others that they are wrong. Then tell them that what they say and do is wrong simply because that's your opinion. That you don't care about making any friends, and are just here for selfish reasons. But also complain that you have no friends and no one understands. Perhaps going out of your way to tell everyone 'screw you', telling them they are all wrong for... everything they do, all while making hypocritical statements could be part of the problem? Just food for thought.

Idk about the BDF, as I never go there, but I can definitely relate to this. Any time I post a serious opinion(which is rare), it seems like someone wants me to defend it a million different ways and get into a debate. My opinion is just my opinion XD

Um, question. If you don't like these sites or the people on them, why are you on this site? Christians are called to be like Christ. God is love. Not pointless bickering. What happened to make you seem like such an unhappy person?:(

I don't love anything.

Having no love really should be an alarm to anyone if we have no love what do we have? Any bible believing Christians out there know the portion of scriptures that deal with people having all knowledge and wisdom and charity but they have no love? Just a little challenge to my brothers and sisters in Christ who know the Word of God. :D

You got chocolate in your peanut butter. That makes absolutely no sense. Shame you went to the trouble to type it out.

I like this site perfectly fine. It's as good as any other site. Not fond of some of the membership, but that's the same all over. Not sure why I seem unhappy - maybe you're reading too much into my posts. It happens.

I had to read through this a few times to get it to make sense. Wow. Bullet points would have helped.

Where have I ever complained about not having friends? I celebrate the fact. Quit putting words in my mouth. All of you. I am well aware of what I write since I am the author. I'm not responsible for what you read into it though. That's all on you. If people find me abrasive, they are free to not deal with me. It's really quite simple. Poking me with a stick won't help. Until I hear otherwise from the administrator or moderator, I will continue to conduct myself as I have and you can all just deal with it. Whether I remain or am banned, it ultimately makes no difference. This place is but a distraction from the doldrums of my day and the burdens of it day in and day out.

Maybe instead of individually driving by throwing out your two cents, you could do something useful? How about starting a petition to have me banned if you're so offended by my conduct? That would at least be something useful. You'd get further with that than with what you all have been doing the past couple of days. Maybe you just like arguing. Some folks are into weird stuff like that. Maybe one or more of you is chummy with the mods or the admin and you can get something done. Heck, organize like a mob and start reporting my posts if they are so inflammatory and make your feelings hurt. Do something.

1. Hate is not Christ-like, and gets expressed here too often. Guilty as charged. Kudos for not joining that fray, but bummer that it comes with the price of not loving.

2. God looks at hearts not affiliations. I know that there are individual Mormons and witnesses who are born again. While an assembly may have a particular issue (and God does deal with issues within an assembly), one must remember that there are those within that assembly that are none the less His.

3. We should only look down our noses at the ground, for we all have our sins.

4. I hate verse wars. Yes everything you believe should be based on scripture. But this game of I ante one scripture saying one thing, you call my ante with 2, I see your 2 and raise you a third... what I look at is, does it work? Like the tongues thing. Bicker scriptures all you want, at the end of the day have any saints been edified thru it like the Bible says would be? Got a whole list of them here who say yes. So ya, that you might out-verse me is meaningless. What does mean something is, when the boots hit the ground does it work as God described?

5. Gotta story about doctrines and denominations. Boo hiss.

6. I love farts and boogers. I try not to act all holier than thou, but some people put me in a mood to mess with them. That's probably not right either.

7. I suppose this goes back to the no love thing of item 1..?

8. Amen. Questions are made without intent to really consider the answer. You only learn if you're willing to consider the answers.

9. Just had a few with a guy who thought not agreeing with him was the benchmark for ignorance. I mean, I could agree with him, but then we'd both be wrong ;)

10. Oh you ought to hear the story about 'denominations'. I think you'd like it. But this has been verbose enough already.

Besides, I wanted to put you in suspense... then tell you to 'deal with it'

:)

Bravo RickyZ! You are one of the few here who responded that exhibited the ability to read and comprehend what you were reading before formulating your response. Could you give classes to other people?

I like the heck out of you. You understand the message I was posting. How refreshing.
