Go to General Settings in your profile.

Then scroll down to Miscellaneous.

Click the "Enhanced Interface" Full editing Option.

Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing
Basic Editor - A simple text box
Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls

Then click SAVE.

Hopefully that'll work. I don't have Chrome and it still works for me.

I gave this a try AuntieAnt, no change. What's weird is the upload-browse function disappeared on two different computers no matter what browser. Thinking java, javascript, flash...I played with reinstalling all those no luck...
 
Under General settings, miscellaneous options you have the following:

Enhanced Attachment Uploading:
Enhanced Attachment Uploading on
Enhanced Attachment Uploading off
The forum features an enhanced attachment uploading system that allows you to reuse existing attachments via a drag and drop interface.

Depending upon the capabilities of your web browser, you may not be able to use the enhanced system. If you experience problems with the interface, try disabling this option.

It was one of the first things I checked, and it made no difference for me, either.

Weird.
They keyboard shouldn't matter. If it does, we need to start a thread on "Share you weird tech solutions here" :p

is the entire "From computer" option missing, or is the tab there but the bit where you can actually do something missing?
(Thinking maybe a plugin has gone haywire?)

Don't you have the MS CD? Couldn't you reinstall after sytems upgrade?

You can do a systems restore save point if you want to install a future program but don't know if it's compatible with other programs before installing new software. Then if you don't like it, return to previous setup of computer. Only problem is that it takes some memory.

Also the option to burn to CD or flash drive important backup into before systems overhaul....but none of which will help with current situation, just ideas to look into for future if you like.

No, when upgrading to 10 I had to buy a brand new MS Office, called Office365 (you pay a hundred each year) You no longer get a CD from MS, they send everything directly to your computer. It sucks, but MS is so excellent, I want it enough to pay.

Restore doesn't redo your operating system. I usually do a restore about every two months.

The IMAGES icon used to open a dialog box that gave you two choices. Either you could select from your own photos on your own hard drive, or you could choose to enter an external URL where the photo was out in cyberland somewhere

Now when I click the same icon, the dialog box comes up, but it has already progressed to the selection of only a URL. Nothing else ever shows anymore.

Try it, just click on the symbol above on the right which looks like a tree (next to the one
with the Red Cross). Select from computer then click upload.

Well, I switched back to the old keyboard, and it didn't improve things a bit.

I would have been kind of surprised if it had.
