I have a meeting with my boss at the preschool Monday regarding my job status there. If they're aren't enough kids in the class then they can't afford to give the teacher a teacher aide.

I'm not worried about it, what happens, happens. I will look for something else or try to pick up more hours at the laundromat. I like everyone there. The director my boss is a nice woman. She does really care about the school and loves the kid's. She's helped a lot of families out, basically by working out tuition payments or trying to help them find Preschool scholarships. We've had people who haven't paid and put the preschool into the red, I guess you could say. People go through hard times and I'm not judging. Our school does not get state funding at all, it's all run from fund raising and the money from tuition. So money is really tight. Our pay is not great. It's the only job I could find that went around my children's schedule so I took it.

Comes a point though some changes should be made. There is no set time when she decides that, hey there are not enough kid's signed up for this class we aren't going to do it this year. I talked to her in July and asked what the enrollment was, it's low, 5 kid's. I asked if we were going to have the class? She didn't know. She shouldn't do that. Parents need to know so they can look for another school for their child. Staff should know before the new school year starts.

Last week I hadn't heard from her. I had a question for the teacher I work with. She's the one who told me I might not have a job in the fall. I'm glad she did. I messaged my boss and said I needed to know so I Could peruse other options. She said she wished the teacher hadn't told me yet. Well when was she going to tell me? The first day of school? This stuff happens a lot there. I like her as a person but sometimes things aren't run very professional. I'm not the only one who feels this way.

So Monday we will talk and I'll see but I'm not waiting around forever.

Fenner,
I'm sorry you're in this situation. I don't think it's fair that the director didn't tell you what was going on sooner. I'll be praying for God to work a miracle in all of this. He knows your needs and desires and He'll provide. Sometimes changes happen and are uncomfortable but in the long run they work out much better than we could ever imagine. Maybe this might be one of those moments. Praying for you.

I call my Daughter pumpkin pie and my Son sweet potato pie sometimes. My Daughter asked me, why? I said, just cute nicknames. So I asked her what kind of pie I should be? She said, Onion pie, yeah that's good. How endearing.
HAHAHA...onion pie. Nice.

Onions have a substantial amount of sugar, but it takes heat to develop them. Maybe there is some existential meaning to that someplace. I don't know. I haven't had my first cup of coffee yet.

Thank you Silly chick. It will all work out as it should one way or another. I am going to apply with a temp agency in my area for some sub positions in my area with the local school districts. I kind of like being a substitute. It's nice to set up your own hours and work when you want. Unfortunately the school has had a very big decline in enrollment. It's sad, but there is a lot of competition and seeing what the other schools offer for about the same price I can understand why parents make other choices. People there are stuck with the old ways and that might cost them the school in the long run. I hope not. We deliver a good message about God and Jesus to the kid's and I'd hate to see that part go away.

I told my Swedish cousin this story on Facebook, she has lived in Greece for year's now, but she said there is an actual onion pie that she has made with Vidalia onions.

I might actually smell like onions and garlic because I eat a lot of that stuff. I also make a garlic blend or just process it with olive oil or canola oil and put it on my feet when I feel like I'm catching cold. When I'm congested I put some on my chest, the smell alone helps clear you up. My Mom did this stuff to me when I was little. She believed in medicine as do I, but it does offer some relief. I also love the taste of garlic so I smell like onions and garlic sometimes, oh well.

I booked a roller skating party for my Daughter over the phone today. It seemed to take a long time. I chose the option for 35 kid's. No one seems to RSVP anymore so I just played it safe. Her class consists of 25 kid's. fourth, fifth and six grades. It's Montessori so that's how they do it. I don't know if any 6th graders will come, but it's roller skating so it's good for all age ranges. I'm glad we're out of the Chuckie Cheese party age. I hate that place.

I discovered this quote earlier. Take a gander......

"If I ever turn off my love for you, it is 100% my fault. No matter what you may have done, self-control removes the option of blaming others for my choices."

Hi! Figured I'd check in since I've been pretty silent here for about a month or so...

But what a time it has been! I took a mini vacation in L.A. to see two of my grown-up kids and also met fellow CC-er Siberian Katru (Kudzu)! I was impressed at how STABLE the guy is...what's he doing on CC? :p

Also, in a very roundabout way, I became involved in this production of Hunchback of Notre Dame. It's currently at a limited release and is still being tweaked a bit. The Disney peeps came to see the show Wednesday, as they are very vested in the success of this, and it hasn't been done in a theater-in-the-round before. I am in the cathedral choir. We are in black monk robes and are kind of spooky. We basically sing a lot of stuff in Latin and provide a bunch of Catholic guilt for the villain. For many of the other songs, we are in a sound booth off stage. Lots of running around trying to get to our doors in time as we appear down various aisles.

Anyhoo...here's a clip from our production. The actor playing Quasimodo is deaf and signs the songs, with one of the gargoyles singing the lyrics. I was skeptical how this would be pulled off, but it works because 1) the character is deaf anyways from ringing all those bells his whole life, and 2) the gargoyles are basically his imaginary friends and an extension of his personality.

Haha thx man. That wot happens when I get bored.
Nah bro! The dedication to actually go all out, paint the face, and take the pic...much respect man much respect! (thumps fist on chest in approval)lol....

Although I have to admit sometimes to freak people out....when I'm brushing my teeth with colgate I put the joker's "lipstick" via the toothpaste along where the cuts on his mouth would be...and go around the corner to my friend and in a freaky voice/facial expression....ask "why so serious?"....they freak out and laugh especially when they are absorbed in tv and I just bust in the room w/o them expecting it lol....

on a side note that was one of the best batman movies/villains ever....to bad the guy died but man... Ledger he did a fantastic job....

Lol! That's awesome XD For sure though.. he's definitely up there at the top of movie villains. Nicholson will probably always be my favorite, but what Ledger did with the character was amazing. Loved that film.

Anyone have any good tv series that are fairly new and worth watching?

I like ones that make you think and not just all violence/drama/sex crap.....but make you actually think ....(which let's be honest most TV these days doesn't make you think :)....

Me:
I like this show Peaky Blinders about a criminal gang from the 1920's very cool stuff and mentally stimulating....

I also like "the last ship" about a navy ship that is the last ship of it's fleet with a vaccine for a virus that everyone wants to get their hands on the vaccine......again some good stuff that takes unexpected turns in the show...

I'm all ears for your guys lists of good thinking TV series (ones that make you think lol)....
