I hope so. After all the bad news I've been getting, I need a break.
On the other hand, looks like maybe a bad sign for Hilda in the ever important state of Florida.

POLITICS[h=1]An Influential Pastor Just Nailed Misogynist Male Christian Trump Supporters[/h]

The extreme Christian supporters of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump present themselves as righteous holy rollers doing the work of God, but that is a ruse meant to disguise their true intentions of making women mere sexual pawns and exert patriarchal dominance over them. This fact was aptly pointed out by John Pavlovitz, a minister from Raleigh, North Carolina who published a scathing statement indicting all of the individuals who partake in this behavior.
Pavlovitz attempted to spare no feelings when he warned women about Trump, his supporters, and how those individuals truly view a woman’s role in society:
To them, you aren’t separate but equal, as they might claim from the pulpit. You may be made in the image of God, but not in the same way that they are. You are inferior. You are lesser than. You are Adam’s rib meat; baby machines, meal preparers, arm candy, pleasure tools designed by God for men to use as they desire. Some of these men of God will have the guts to actually say this, others will simply prove it to you. They are proving it to you now. Listen to them.”
Pavlovitz says in their twisted patriarchal world, the men on the Christian Right think all men act like Trump, all men talk this way, all men think this way, but adds, “No, we don’t—but they do.”

A line was drawn in the proverbial sand by Pavlovitz who harpooned the hypocrisy of Trump’s supporters. Trump claims to respect women, as do those who are in favor of his candidacy. Yet, that does not rationally follow for if it were true, and if these individuals did have respect for women, they’d dump Trump immediately:
If these professed men of God truly acknowledged your inherent value, they would be fiercely defending you right now, instead of Donald Trump. They would be openly condemning such disregard for the image of God within you, and sharply severing their ties with him—but many of them they aren’t. They’re making excuses. They’re blaming the victim. They’re doubling down. They’re digging in their manly heels right now.
The good minister pulled back the curtain to expose the sickening philosophy of these individuals. They care not about women as human beings, but consider them to be mere disposable objects to be used for their own nefarious purposes:
The real reason they’re doing it, is because to them you aren’t worth defending; not your intelligence or your gifts or your worth. As a result, your consent isn’t really a concern either; you may have noticed that. It’s why, in their minds sexual misconduct almost never occurs, and when it does, it’s because you were dressed too provocatively or sending mixed signals, or because their motives were misinterpreted. They don’t believe you have the right to say or no or to be offended. If anything, they believe you should be flattered. This is the hubris of men who think God made you as an accessory.
In an act of contrition and humility Pavlovitz apologized for the behavior of despicable men who behave as cowardly dogs. He stopped short of apologizing on the behalf of the men, as if he were their spokesperson:
As a Christian and a pastor and a man, I’d liked to apologize to you for these men and what you endure from them, but I won’t apologize to you on their behalf because that would mean aligning myself with them and I will not do that. They don’t speak for me. They don’t speak for many of us. They certainly don’t speak for God.
Minister John Pavlovitz’s statement is worthy of a resounding round of applause. As a man of the cloth he truly embodies the values which he espouses, which is a rare and precious trait in a society full of millions of individuals who support Trump and believe that his word is the gospel. It is truly disheartening and frightening to know that while all citizens in the United States have the same rights, and all votes are equal, that so many would use those votes in a way which is detrimental to the lives of their fellow female citizens.

Peacenic, since you have chosen to publicly make your claim against Sirk I am going to insist that you either publicly defend that claim by giving the supporting evidence or publicly retract and apologize for your statement.

Sounds like a nut job.
I got to like the first sentence and realized that this "pastor" is nothing more than a zealot devoid of having any kind of "grace on his lips".

Please don't take what I say and twist it, I'm horrible with wording things. But what is so wrong with a woman and her role to her husband and the family as the one to have babies, clean and care for the home and for the ones inside it? So many women choose to be this way and have no regrets. I consider myself weaker than a man in everything, however God provided women with strengths as well, like we are more in touch with our emotional side and can distinguish when a loved one is going thru a difficult time. Women are the glue that keeps families together, more so if they are living their life for God. The men are the ones God has designed to be the spiritual covering and to protect the family physically and spiritually, the woman is behind the scenes ensuring the husbands is fully equipped to handle anything that he is faced with. My ultimate dream in life is to be a stay at home wife and mother, but that's because I enjoy taking care of people, nothing wrong with that.

The real reason they’re doing it, is because to them you aren’t worth defending; not your intelligence or your gifts or your worth.
You know Hillary wants everyone to think women are created to be equal to man and wants to be treated as a man. I am far from being a man and I find it insulting that she thinks all women have the same goals as men. Open the bible and you will find out he created us very different

actually the pastor's statements are very accurate...there are far too many 'evangelical' men just like the ones he is describing...and they are voting for trump because he sees women the same way they do...

the pastor being quoted is not saying there is anything wrong with being a housewife...what he is opposing is the mindset of many 'christian men' that having babies and cooking and cleaning and generally benefiting males is -all we are here for-

how come there was no such insistence from anyone a few weeks ago when certain people were publicly making false accusations against me?

well I certainly don't see women that way and I voted for trump. So in regards to me the pastors statements are inaccurate.

I voted for Trump. I hope people get out and do the same. I don't think we need a woman in office.
It's not just that she is a female. She is a murderer, idolater, and a liar among other things. Why would anyone want her as president? If she's lying about ignorantly sending over half a million emails that are top secret, imagine what she's doing under completely closed doors. She's not new at the game. I hope she finds justice in prison where she won't be out on bail.

Like I said there is nothing wrong with staying at home to take care of the family and there is nothing wrong with men believing the same.

And if Trump was old school in believing that all women are good for is to cook, clean and have babies then why in the world did he marry independent women who happened to have a successful career?

Honest answer... I don't know what Trump will be able to accomplish. A president can't walk into office and do whatever he wants. But he and the Repubs. want to change abortion. Hillary wants to take it FURTHER.

Once again,see the link...

Even Democrats Were Cringing When Hillary Gave Her 'Late Term Abortion' Answers

It shows what they both believe.

Now since I answered your question even though you answered my question with a question, please answer me. Why would you vote Hillary knowing what she believes?!

I can't stand Trump. But I also knew Hillary left a lot to be desired.

The moment that all changed was when Hillary talked about the "need" for late term abortions. Then her wickedness just flowed off the screen. I was always leaning third party, Gary Johnson, but he wasn't willing to change the abortion laws either.

The thing is, some people might say that abortion is a "single" issue. But it is also a sign of what else someone believes. No one who is ethical could support the horror of late term partial birth abortions.

The day after the 3rd debate, a leftwing socialist friend of mine from Minn. posted about a "poor" woman forced to have a late term abortion. The baby was very deformed and was probably going to die. So the woman had a C section, held the baby as it died.

I posted "This is not a late term partial birth abortion, which is what people are objecting to. This is a C section, and if the baby had the capacity to live, it would have." I noticed she pulled the post. And didn't comment when I did post what a partial birth abortion was. I wasn't going to post it, but people need to know what the debate was about. Not some lie about a C section.

Sorry I am so late to the thread. I've been caring for my mom after her knee replacement and didn't have much time to post or read the threads. Not sure if I will catch up to this one, either!
