Give some examples of KJV ingorance.
In a way they did use the KJV because the KJV is no different than the Old Testament writings. The KJV is just like the New Testament scriptures, it brings more clarity to the things already written about in the Old Testament.I have heard both preachers and deacons (ignorant that is) both say and argue that Paul and Jesus used the King Jimmy......shakes head in astonishment....!

And the Old Testament he used was KJV?Or what translation/edition?
come to think of it, the 'only one version' idea goes against the 'two or three witnesses' principle that God uses over and over again throughout the Scriptures.

Not really, the Old Testament is one witness the New Testament is the second and the Spirit is the third. Remember the candletick, it is made of ONE beaten piece of gold.
Wait, the witness of the Spirit? What's that?
Why would you think any translation is inspired?I don't get the cult thing. I don't see my view on the KJV any different than other peoples view of all translations being inspired. I don't believe the KJV is the sole source of truth, but I do believe it's the sole source of complete truth. I'll give you an example.
There is some truth in Psalm 34:2 in the NASB, but one single wrong word "it's", completely removes our ability to understand the marriage relationship between Christ and the church. I'm a man and I am married to Christ, Christ is not a homosexual and Psalm 34:2 in the KJV show's why.
Psalm 34:2New American Standard Bible (NASB)
2 My soul will make its boast in the Lord;
The humble will hear it and rejoice.
Psalm 34:2King James Version (KJV)
2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
Try reading the first part of Romans 7 with the understanding that the woman in those verses is your soul... it will blow your mind. You will know exactly why we are dead to the law by the body of Christ.
Yes. There are 3 that bear witness. 1 John 5:8. Have to run errands be back later. Also read about the candlestick in exodus... one beaten work.
I may have misunderstood, then... I thought you weren't into the Spirit giving you understanding of Bible passages.
With other people, does that Spirit do that only with the kjv, or other versions as well?
There's only one one word of God.... the translation/edition was the inspired one.
yes, and similarly, multiple versions are good
2 CORINTHIANS 13:1 This will be my third visit to you. "Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses."

The word of God does not change, the Old Testament word of God is the same word of God found in the KJV.
Isn't it funny how many Christians will argue to the end that we do not have the word of God...that what we have cannot be 100% trusted...only the originals can be trusted...and they will defend that position till the end. Why? I believe that they do not want to give up final authority on what God has said. With many versions along with the Greek lexicons, they will determine what God has said. Why give up authority to a book?
well, speaking for myself, I want to leave final authority to the SpiritIsn't it funny how many Christians will argue to the end that we do not have the word of God...that what we have cannot be 100% trusted...only the originals can be trusted...and they will defend that position till the end. ST. JOHN 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes,
he will guide you into all the truth.
He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
