[h=1]Expanded Beliefs[/h][FONT="][h=2]THE SCRIPTURES—The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, we accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine (2 Tim. 3:16; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).[/h]THE GODHEAD—Our God is One, but manifested in three Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, being coequal (Deut. 6:4; Phil. 2:6). God the Father is greater than all; the Sender of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter (John 14:28; John 16:28; John 1:14). The Son is the Word flesh-covered, the One Begotten, and has existed with the Father from the beginning (John 1:1; John 1:18; John 1:14). The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 14:16; John 15:26).
MAN, HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION—Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. The Bible says “...all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” and “...There is none righteous, no, not one” (Rom. 3:10; 3:23). Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the works of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Rom. 5:14; 1 John 3:8).
Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the Law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God (Eph. 2:8–10).
ETERNAL LIFE AND THE NEW BIRTH—Man’s first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The New Birth is necessary to all men, and when experienced, produces eternal life (2 Cor. 7:10; John 3:3–5; 1 John 5:12).
WATER BAPTISM—Baptism in water is by immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4; Col. 2:12; Acts 8:36–39).
The following recommendation regarding the water baptismal formula is adopted; to wit: “On the confession of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and by His authority, I baptize you in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.”
BAPTISM IN THE HOLY GHOST—The Baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the new birth. This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance (Matt. 3:11; John 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38,39; Acts 19:1–7; Acts 2:1–4).
SANCTIFICATION—The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ’s return (Heb. 12:14; 1 Thess. 5:23; 2 Peter 3:18; 2 Cor. 3:18; Phil. 3:12–14; 1 Cor. 1:30).
DIVINE HEALING—Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of every member of the Church today (James 5:14,15; Mark 16:18; Isa. 53:4,5; Matt. 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24).
RESURRECTION OF THE JUST AND THE RETURN OF OUR LORD—The angels said to Jesus’ disciples, “...This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” His coming is imminent. When He comes, “...The dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air...” (Acts 1:11; 1 Thess. 4:16,17).
Following the Tribulation, He shall return to earth as King of kings, and Lord of lords, and together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests, He shall reign a thousand years (Rev. 5:10; 20:6).
HELL AND ETERNAL RETRIBUTION—The one who physically dies in his sins without accepting Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the lake of fire and, therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting. The lake of fire is literal. The terms “eternal” and “everlasting,” used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the lake of fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting the duration of joy and ecstasy of saints in the Presence of God (Heb. 9:27; Rev. 19:20).

I responded that way because I know the belief and while many have good intentions they are too far from what the Word teaches,they go too far.
how can you say many? do you know them all? i say a few you say many, who is right?
People that try to control others no matter what denomination they are in is not from God. I have seen this happen in Pentecostal churches myself as well as a few other denominations.
Some just use different methods to accomplish the very same thing but the end result and purpose remains the same - control and manipulation. It's the sign of a religious controlling influence whether people are loud in their worship or quiet as a mouse in a presbyterian church as the saying goes.
There are good people that have a heart for the Lord in every denomination and none of us know things as we ought to know them. We are all growing up in the Lord and we need each other.

People trying to "lord it over your faith" by de-meaning you, slandering, with lying accusations even after showing what is believed, being condescending to others that believe differently in a subject from what they believe. All these are just as deadly as any WOF assembly that does the same thing.
I have not been in one of these so-called WOF churches for over 20 years so I don't know what is being taught now in them and I am sure that most of them are different too. Sometimes people do go in the ditch in some things and so we are quick to throw the whole baby out with the dirty water.
Personally I like to use my faith to believe in all that Christ has done for us from the cross to the resurrection. I use the faith that comes with the hearing of Christ to believe that He is my righteousness, my sanctification, my wisdom, my redemption.
I have died and my life is hidden with Christ in God - there is no life outside of Him.
I don't believe God gives us "things" - I believe He gives us His Son and in Christ is everything and He is one with us in our spirit.

I know the belief,the teachings,have friends that believe it and traveled in ministry in churches that believed and preached it.I dont need to know every Muslim to know Islam is wrong doctrine according to the Bible.
BTW this is not a new belief,its been around for years.

our pastor says it himself WoF was a bit cra cra in the beginning, but has since started to grow and develop into a beautiful part of the universal church.

I don't believe you will change anyone's mind here. You already see that they have a hostile and angry tone when it comes to WoF. I am not WoF but I do align with much of its beliefs. It sucks when so many put others in the same category as ones that have hurt them. This can happen in any denomination.
I just watched the movie Hacksaw Ridge and it is a true story about a guy who was a Seventh Day Adventist. According to a lot of people in here Seventh Day Adventists is a cult. But here is a man who trusted in the Lord and to do what he did the Lord must have been watching over him. So, I believe, this man was a follower of Jesus but since he is associated with a certain religion he would most likely be labeled as a non Christian on this forum.

i know the same things and hold a different view, again whos right? i have mission-ed crossed the country 8000 miles of bike riding, tone of WoF churches many good and Word following Christians a few that were off. but i know i can't say all ar right, and i should really stop saying many because i don't truly know. but to lup us all in one believe is not right.

I see a lot of words like "cruel" and "hostile" being attached to opinions and harmful experiences encountered by many of us in regards to WOF. I have nothing but respect for you CeileDe, I've agreed with many of your posts. But what is cruel and hostile is a false doctrine so subtle and false that targets new believers with the capability to ship wreck their faith for many years down the road. I'm not saying all WOF is willfully designed to do so, but the result in my experience is the same. If that's cruel to hear, then so be it. Are there WOF churches that do not embrace the doctrine in entirety? Maybe, but wouldn't you call them something else if that were the case?
amen brother CeileDe, its hard sometimes because i know my walk is true. but im also scared sometimes to say what church i am in because as soon as they hear WoF they treat me like i'm crazy, or a zelot. if they took the time to talk to me and get to know me they might see differently.
its funny my boss is 7DA and he is a wonderful Christian who loves God, and IS His child. i wish people would stop judging others by there negative relation with a group.

It has everything to do with what ear folks are listening with.. All a novice has to do like anywhere else is start with the foundation.. It's nobodies fault they teach with 30+ yrs of Revelation and newbies don't do their homework.
CharlieGrown, brother i respect and love you, you have stuck to the topic and been respectful. and you present real concerns in the WoF. but others on this thread haven't and like i said earlier this thread was hijacked from the start and turned into something else, were someone just started bashing WoF and not asking or discussing anything. i'm here to state what i believe and answer peoples questions, to talk about what i believe.

I hear you. My main criticism was that some were teaching to use your faith for things. I believe the New Covenant of which we are now in Christ Himself is what we are to believe. The word of forgiveness and that we are now righteousness in Christ and that we live by grace through faith in Christ alone is how we are to believe now in the New Covenant.
The words about Christ and what He has already done that come to us bring true faith with them. These words about Christ Himself bring faith and in Christ alone is all things.
The other part is that some were making "confession of the word of God" a work of the flesh. Gotta confess the word - as if one said it enough times it would happen. That is called "faith in your own working of the word". Believing God became a work. Do I have enough faith? What if I don't? It becomes a work.
We don't say things in order to get them to come to pass in the New Covenant. We say them because they are already true. True faith is resting in what Christ has already accomplished by grace through faith.
Faith cannot "manufacture" what grace has not already provided for us in Christ.

We are all capable of getting off.. But to discredit all for a few or say it's all nonsense is nonsense... Anyone can learn what they did.. Archives and the Holy Spirit.. If it's not your bag or cup of tea, then pay no mind.. why go on and on?
