Who cares... I forget where but there is scripture that speaks of weather problems in the last days along with all the other strange things coming upon the earth as a result of man's sin... the earth was not designed to house sinful men.

It's sin more than the industrial age that is causing bad weather, earthquakes, famine, sickness, etc, etc.

It's not going to stop until Jesus sets foot on the Mount of Olives to start His 1000 year reign and locks up 'ol slewfoot.

You cannot win any argument with environmentalists many of who are militant and have already made up their minds.

Even some Christians now think God is an environmentalist and the earth is more important than people... now that is satanic as it teaches people to worship the created before the Creator.

Even some Christians now think God is an environmentalist

to this statement........God did create the environment, and put His plan in place. Would that be considered an environmentalist? As well, God created ALL THINGS........and gave man dominion over all things.......and charged His children to be good stewards..........this includes properly managing His creations........would that make Him a conservationist? I think so.........

and the earth is more important than people.

as to this statement........I don't know any Christians who believe this way, you might, I don't. I know a lot of far left liberals who believe such, but not Christians. Not all environmentalists (those who care about our environment) and/or conservationist (those who believe we are to properly manage His creations) are such as you describe. And, yes, you did say "many." As to "winning an argument...........what basis are you arguing from, and what point are you arguing?

Antarctic Sea Ice Extent Similar To What It Was 100 Years Ago

ice is just doing it's thing...apparently
This is very interesting stuff.
In the case of global warming, the retreat of all glaciers round the world show the
climate is changing radically.

How the antarctic responds is interesting, because it is such a massive structure,
it is so outside measurable science, ie we cannot go back far enough to say what
is going to happen and when.

What shocked me was a program that showed the parts per million of C02 had
gone ballastic, and not been like this within known history. Now we know this
is mans influence, and it is russian roulet with the world, because so much
green house gas is locked up in the tundra of canada and siberia, as well as
methane deposites in the sea bed, which may suddenly release if we continue
to raise the average world temperature by a few degrees.

But I will probably be with the Lord before this takes place, but I still feel an
obligation to witness to the truth.

They waste all this money on trying to get to the point to live on mars but we are told the final battle will take place on earth. So I really do not see us living on Mars. I believe we should do as individuals all we can to be green but it will take the world to make a difference. Everyone got to be on board. On another note I keep up on new technology and I believe we will be seeing amazing improvements in the technology to protect the environment. Especially since the new generations are all about this belief, we will be seeing this as more of a natural belief as we get older.

I first didnt believe it but now I am on the fence and figure even if global warming is true or not we should always take care of our planet. So even if it isnt true we have seen real life disasters that have hurt our world. Like pollutions of water, soil, air (smog and acid rain), trash that takes 100s of years to decompose or trash that kills wild animals. Accidents in oil spills or even governments nuclear tests spread radiation all over the world. The loss of the rain forest and forests that house animals. Fish containing high levels of mercury and lakes turning into humans dump sites for their trash.

We got a long way to go but so many immediate threats that we have to deal with. Its hard to protect something that takes generations to make a difference. Especially sense we have the world ready to blow each other up.

climate change ? [GOD is in control]

-for blessings

14That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season,
the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy
corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

-for punishment

7And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were
yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one
city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was
rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.

-for the day of battle and war

22Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast
thou seen the treasures of the hail, 23Which I have reserved
against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

3The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not
at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind
and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

I don't know about Global Warming, but we have had a wonderfully warm dry fall. Things are about to change today.

I don't want to hear anyone complaining about my carbon footprint. I checked the composition of my family's shoe soles, and there was no carbon in them. I planted enough trees to offset my family's bare footprints for the rest of our lives.

The Climate Summit Wasn’t About the Climate

There is an acute danger in the global climate change movement. This movement may once have been
about improving the environment, and theoretically stopping ocean levels from swamping coastlines,

but it has morphened into something that seeks to completely upend the global economic system.
And that means starting with America.

The Paris climate summit is about revolutionizing the world’s economic system,
and turning into Capitalism.

Our home has a window of 100 to 1500 years left to sustain and feed 8+ billion people due to the remnants of the ice age. Polar caps are where we get rivers of fresh water for crop irrigation. These caps have already withstood and still provide water beyond or at least to the limit of what secular scientists have calculated based on the brightness of the sun. To say we are in a pre-climate change era is not completely without warrant in my opinion not because man drives 10 cylinder monster trucks, but because that is how our Intelligent Designer Father has through all power and love brought us to this. Welcome to the machine.

I never heard that before. Where I live, we depend on the winter snowfall for a spring run-off that swell the rivers to flooding. We also get lots of rain in what used to be a rain forest :D California has been gunning for our water for quite some time (an old news story states: The Canadian government needs a better strategy to protect the country's fresh water in the face of growing U.S. demand, says a report released Thursday by an Ottawa-based think tank.), and water companies used to take millions of litres for free and sell it back to us, making themselves millions of dollars in profits in the process :p Now they are charged a pittance.

Reading "Improbable Planet" by Hugh Ross. These caps left over from the ice age are from the immense mountain ranges which have long offered irrigation and nutrients to vital growth areas.
Reasons To Believe : Another Reason to Thank God for the Ice Age Cycle

Plate tectonics are a major player as well.

No, we should not go out of our way to pollute... but the earth is sick because of sinful mankind and sinful mankind cannot fix this situation. It's not even possible!

It will be fixed when Jesus arrives and starts His 1000 year reign. Until then, it's folly to think mankind on his own and do anything to stop the results of a sin sick world from continuing to go down hill in all areas not just the environment.

It's takes a carnal, pride filled person to think man can take care of this on his own... it's not happening, therefore I personally won't give an environmentalist the time of day.

Just having a friendly discussion... no need to get all bent out of shape...

The earth started going bad the day Adam and Eve rebelled against God... nothing can possible stop this downhill spiral except for Jesus taking over management of this world.

We must remember, liberals don't believe in God (if they do, it's not the God of the Bible) so they think man has the technology to fix the earth and now they are claiming to be working on a way to fix genes so man can live forever.

Man without God is... on their way straight to heLL, and sadly most people will have to learn the hard way cause they refuse to accept the Lord now in this life.

People do not get it like the garden of Eden, because of their sin condition,so the earth will behave in an erratic manner at times, which gets worse as time goes on,for people's rebellion gets worse, which Jesus said since iniquity shall abound the love of many shall grow cold, and evil men shall get wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived, which is probably why there is more natural disasters at the end time than any other time in history.

The worse the world gets in sin,and self exaltation, the worse the earth behaves, and they will get so bad, which the Bible says when the transgressors are come to the full,a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up,so the earth will be acting really terrible at that time.

According to history the river Thames in London froze over to a depth that allowed
various activities to take place on the ice. But it hasn't happened for 200 years.
See link below.

Thought people might find it interesting.

As to the reason, well it does seem the climate is warming. I remember going to school
as a child slipping and sliding through ice every year and we had feet think of snow
most years and it was around for a good time, plus going sledging, great fun.

Now we get flurrys of snow which last maybe a week at most, usually just a few days before
it turns to slush. The occasionsl year the snow might turn to ice and be around for a while.
But it's rare to get enough enough proper snow to go sledging any more where I live.

Incidentally if you read the above article it refers to the cold due to sun spots.
Maybe global warming is due to changes in the sun rather than planet earth.
