Over the years our Christian chat I've noticed repetitive and almost pointless Bible discussions like replacement theology or even the dumb stuff like what color was Jesus beard and the countless Sabbath discussions by faith we know that the Sabbath is and forever established not according to the law of Moses but according to the tcreation chapter butt it's always the same thing over and over

i've noticed that posts taking a disagreeable tone about the disagreeable tone in the BDF tend to pop up repetitively too.

people come in with their belief, its what all their family believes, its what all of their ancestors have believed, its what their preachers say. Right or wrong they will defend their positions no matter what. The problem with that is that there is only 1 right and everything else is wrong. We as Christians are supposed to be unified (Ephesians 4:4-6), but as it is, and always has been, people always find a way to twist things so that the words lose their meanings and become a different message all together. Just read what the book says and obey, keep it simple because it really is not complicated. Of course we can make it as complicated as can be imagined, but its unnecessary.

I've only seen one replacement theology thread, albeit, it's long, missed the beard color threads all together, and enjoyed the lack of Sabbath Day posts recently... until this one came along.

I'm now wondering if we don't just notice what drives us nuts.

Perhaps there are only so many theological issues. They don't change but people come and go from this website. New people bring up things we've already talked about. It's better rehashing old things than discussing nothing at all.

Yeah, but these aren't theological issues. And we keep missing the cool stuff. Why not talk about how David was able to last so many years running away from, first Saul, and then Absalom, without giving up, without stopping his trust in God, without getting angry with God? (Which he did, but repented of all in the same Psalm.) How in the world did Peter and Paul ever get along? How did they manage to come together without having huge blowouts, like we do on here all the time? How do we not lust even in our minds? What is Revelation about without the mindset of a theory going into reading it? Were there really Nephilims in the Promised Land, or was that just intentionally lying to make sure everyone was on board with not starting war? Why in the world were there so many nations in that wilderness? It was lousy land, so what did all those people do?

There are so many questions I'd love to talk about on here, but it gets all pushed to the side by the constant -- Saturday, not Sunday, 20,000 versions of End Times debates, and 200,000 post about absolutely nothing but clickbait.
