Yeah, I rather have a cat.
While the cat is indeed much cleaner and noble, alas a cat also is no replacement to human companionship. I would even posit that it is not even good for the animal to be held in such esteem.

Just as with the dogs, I perceive this robot phenomena to be symptoms of the same problem. Heart weep inside me and lament! How much do today's men hate women and today's women hate men that they will take unthinking rocks and filthy animals to be their companions?
I just want a robot to wheel beer to me from the fridge.

Well my wife don't want me, so are you my huckleberry?

I disagree, a dog especially of all the animals can never take the place of a person. Though it is a sad observation that many people these days do indeed put that most filthy of beasts above their fellow human beings.
If you don't have the heart to be kind to a lowly fithy dog. Where will you get the kindness to love a prideful and sinful human being who has all the power to hurt you and abandon you?

I'll make a guess. And this has nothing to do with an argument over statistics, cause I don't really care and it doesn't really matter, but here I go.

I think you have a personality that probably turns men off.
You are college educated, which in your mind, puts you on a higher level that you would never accept less education in a man.
You have impossible expectations that has left you painted in a corner.

Just hold on. The Japanese are working diligently on companion robots.
I don't have a college degree. I've only attended two classes, and I don't get to talk to a lot of guys because I never have the opportunity. Seriously, whenever I get to church everyone is talking to someone else and it seems I'm the only one with myself.

I'm not the one who keeps making assumptions about others. You don't know me. And I don't know you.

I think he was just exaggerating to make his point. Because the point is, even though Adam had just about every animal in the world in literally his backyard, even though he had God himself, God still thought it necessary to give him a human companion.

Oh man, I got an Idea!

It's perfect.

Community College. It's like a disco with books.

This thread has only confirmed my theory that people will automatically make assumptions about people they don't know and then judge them just based on what they see in a post.

I don't have money. And besides, even if I did I still wouldn't do it, because no one now can go to college without also going into debt.

So is it the fear the you cannot be loved back by another person?

This is a good point too, I had not thought into it that far, but you are quite right.

Well put yourself out there so people will know you.

It's easy.

I usually start by saying:

Hello, I'm Tommy and I'm a world class butthole.

I really don't like sarcasm, but I will let you know the only reason I'm not taking down your post is because you have the right to express your opinion. But I also have the right not to take it.
