I am sorry for stating my opinion of the appearance of feminist protesters that I saw on the news.

I still hold the same opinion.
No one is saying there are not some rough-looking Liberalists... and some great-looking ones. Just the same as on the other side of the aisle.

But general classifications aren't cool. And, in my opinion, it is a bit sad to knock anyone for the hand they got dealt in life, when they might not have been as fortunate as someone else.

I've always figured that they hated people and themselves so much, they let themselves go.

When all you do is put down others not like you, the joke gets stale. And then gets annoying. And then gets beyond a joke. You've hit that with liberals already. Tommy is beyond that even!
I specifically stated my friends and I make fun of each other all the time. What part of that equates to putting people down who are not like me? Try again.

Trump said we couldn't so it must be true huh? Conservatives believe him - me not so much....
I thought you lost your voice since you ignored my challenge of naming seven benefits we have thanks to liberals. No worries, I'll still wait.

Seriously? A well-known fact? Want to show the science behind that one? And, since you're all about the facts and don't have double standards, where is the research for what the men look like too? I'm sure it's all a package deal, right? No double standards at all there.

(The all about the looks thing just kept on going too.)

Had you not taken what I said out of context, I did list the double standards I'm opposed to.

And thank you to the men who did speak up. Much appreciated. :)
I still have not seen your example of a double standard???

Do the men authoritatively dictate this butchery in East Indian and Chinese ethnicities, or are the women also this sick?

These are honour based societies, so one's honour is the most important thing. And a girl, traditionally is a dishonourable thing. So both the women and the men value boys more than girls, ironically enough. I remember having my third son in Prince Rupert. There were two East Indian women, one on her third daughter, the other on her fifth. The one on her third was very envious of me. I told her that I loved my son, but I had hoped for a girl after two boys. I thought she was going to die, she held her breathe so long! She seemed to almost worship me! I had no knowledge of eastern cultures, at that point in my life.

However, the woman than was on her 5th girl, didn't talk to me. I met her husband in the change room changing the baby girl's diaper. Apparently, the mother of the 5th girl was in her room crying, and was without consolation for having produced 5 girls. Her husband was actually very gentle and kind, and tried very hard to get his wife to look at their new daughter. But the mother was broken by her dishonour.

When I moved to the Vancouver area, I had adjusted to being the proud mother of 3 handsome young boys. I went to talk to a specialist about some issues, and told him I had three boys. He was so excited! He was Chinese and told me in China I would have been given gold bracelets and necklaces and I would have had great honour for bearing 3 boys. It was so ironical to me, because I still really wanted a girl. Years later, I was finally back to work, and found myself pregnant with twins. I lost one, which grieves me to this day, and the other was the blessing of my daughter, who took care of me in the early years of RA and remains a dear friend. God is good!

I also taught in a school district which had a large East Indian population. They did love their children, I don't want to make it seem like they didn't. But, the fact is, these are the standards they have had for millennia. Girls required dowries, and then they took that money away from the family. Boys stay home and care for the families, especially if the father died. Boys were the hope for the future.

Of course, it isn't that way anymore, but these traditions die hard. Witness that there are millions of "missing" girls in China, from the one baby goverment policy. Because if there is a choice, and only one child is allowed, it will always be a boy, never a girl.

That is what these feminists need to be working on, not demanding rights when women are better off in Western Society than anywhere else in the world.

Words and Rights:

Just because YOU were taught these things, and YOU believe these things, does not mean students in our country are STILL taught these things, or that everyone STILL believes these things.

The far-left has a penchant for deconstructing much of the constitution, the bill of rights, and even these "unalienable rights" found in the Declaration. This is principally (but not exclusively) accomplished through the REDEFINING of words. This results in them giving "lip service" to these documents, all the while teaching extremely different beliefs. It's all based on redefining the words.

A good example of this is the way the far-left has currently redefined "racism."

1. RACISM: Here is a definition of racism from the Oxford English Dictionary.
Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior:

2. RACISM: Here is a redefining of the word "racism" commonly proposed by the far-left.
Discrimination against a racial group of people with less institutional power BY a racial group of people who have more institutional power.

As you see, simply redefining the word allows the far-left to claim that no minority can be racist... and they can therefore say and do whatever they like, and use racist rhetoric, and take racist actions, all the while denying they are racist.

Conclusion:

A. The far-left has a propensity for changing the definitions of words, in order to completely confuse and upend any rational dialogue.

B. There are many examples of this, and this even reaches to their redefining of many of our constitutional rights.

C. Just because YOU went to school decades ago, and YOU were taught to understand our foundational documents in a very literal sense, does NOT mean everyone is still taught what you were taught.

Thanks for pointing out just how OLD I really am.... I take solace in the fact you aren't too far behind me....lol

Yes, I was pointing out your age, but only to make a positive point about it.

You didn't go to school in a postmodern culture.
You were, therefore, probably taught to view the world in a rational, sensible way.

And for the record, Biblically, age is good thing.

Max I don't really have a problem with you at all and for the record you have not hurt my feelings. I just don't get all they hype for a lying, crass, former democrat turned republican, con man who has been elected to an office far above his ability and no I didn't like Hillary any better because I am a former republican in democrat clothing that is truly and independent. Consider myself to be a moderate and yes I did vote.

I believe that we are a country of immigrants a melting pot of the world close our borders, build walls? Treat women like sex objects, say anything you want to heads of state, continually lie changing what you say from one minute to the next? Nope never will I think any of that is o.k. and won't stand behind someone who thinks that's an o.k. way to treat people, making remarks to punch someone in the face and pay for the lawyer...Nope.... not o.k. ever.... Our president great example for what not to do as a caring human being for those around him.....

I would have loved to answer that guys questions on the reasons why women out marching.... I'd have had plenty to say....I do have a voice and a vote and will continue to use both. Sit back and like what's going on....no way.... he will ruin America and the rich will get richer....

Good enough for you? Yes, I still have a voice don't you worry your little head about that....

First of all, good job on actually sourcing a list.

Now, let's take a quick look at it.

The List

1. THE CHALLENGE:
The challenge was to come up with at least 7 things liberals have done to benefit our country.

Please take note of the words "liberal" and "benefit".

These 2 words give us the criteria of the challenge.

A. Liberal:
Are the people enacting the legislation liberals?
Did these legislators really meet any modern definition of liberal?
Were they perhaps just Democrats from long ago who were actually fairly conservative?
Was the legislation really a bipartisan effort, instead of a pure creation of the Left?

B. Benefit:
Was each bit of legislation on the list truly a benefit?
Is the benefit of some of this legislation still open to debate?

2. CHALLENGE PROBLEMS:
To start with, I think this challenge should have been worded differently, because even people you thoroughly oppose are capable of doing a few good things along the way.

I have no problem with that.
I think anyone is capable of doing some good.

3. LIBERALS:
Not every Democrat from the past would consider himself a liberal at all, and certainly not the current variety of postmodern liberal we see today.

We may have a real problem equating past legislation by Democrats with "modern liberalism".

4. WAY BACK DEMOCRATS:
Some of the things on the list go all the way back to the 40's and 50's... a time when most Democrats were MUCH MORE CONSERVATIVE than half the Republicans are today.

A lot of these Democrats from the past certainly don't qualify as modern liberals.

5. BENEFICIAL:
I'm not at all sure every item on this list truly meets the challenge of being "beneficial"... I think some of these things are still open to debate.

I realize that from your point of view none of this legislation is open to debate,
but that doesn't mean everyone feels the same way.

Frankly, trying to meet the challenge condition of "beneficial" is fairly subjective.
It's obvious there will disagreement on some of these things.

6. LIBERAL, BIPARTISAN, or REPUBLICAN:
I'm not at all sure every item on this list was genuinely accomplished by liberals, rather than by a bipartisan effort, or even, in some cases, by a primarily Republican effort.

Conclusion:

A. I think it's entirely possible for liberals, with whom I generally disagree, to still accomplish some good things.

B. I'm not at all sure every item on this lists meets the criteria of being BENEFICIAL, or being accomplished by TRUE LIBERALS (in the modern sense) or being accomplished either SOLELY or PRIMARILY by the LEFT.

C. I think we could go point-by-point and debate many of the items on this list.. as many of them may not meet the criteria of the challenge.

Events today around the world show how much liberalism has managed to leech its way into the social fabric, especailly with so called millennials. We first saw it with the Brexit campaigns with demonstrations against racism and that anyone who wanted to leave the EU was racist bigot. The nation voted to leave. The New World Liberals were still labelling everyone bigots and uneducated. We saw how they took to the streets to protest against Brexit and well we know the rest.

Now we come to Trump, no one thought he would win, so the New World Liberals are crying again, this time around the world, seeing Trump as the ultimate evil against women and a racist bigot. Now we have the demonstrations again, esitamtes about 80-100 thousand people packed into Trafalgar square alone, many cities had other marches and turn outs against Trump. Really. This is the UK idiots.

What has this world come to?

It will be recalled that the Tea Party immediately protested against Obama when he was inaugurated. Numerous placards were displayed which contained racist pictures, profane language, threats against the president, and there was some violence.

http://tinyurl.com/zowmrk8

Of course, these hate filled protests stopped when the disastrous BP oil spill took place and Obama bailed out the same people who just days before were protesting against him in the deep South. Significantly, the Tea Party never took to the streets with such great vehemence once people made an issue of the fact that they would only be biting the hand that fed them. Perhaps equally significantly, was the rise of the leftist Occupy Wall Street after the dust settled.

So what has this world come to as you asked? Just as the Bible says, there is nothing new under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1)

Speaking of protest apparently Madonnas big mouth has gotten her in trouble with secret service for openly making a remark about blowing up the white house. Just plain foolishness on her part.

These "Protest Rallies" be they here, or around the world will allow a person (provided they have about $4.00 cash) to get a cup of Joe at Starbucks.........I'm sure Starbucks has designed a "Protest Trump" cup by now........

:)

Now, concerning Trump and his folks........for goodness sakes, quit griping about the size of the crowd......WHO CARES? You were elected to start fixing what is wrong, not argue for a proper head count of folks at your Inauguration. Get to work Mr. President...........lots to do, and you are going to have to battle Congress to achieve much of your Agenda. No need to make enemies of those needed to vote AYE!

The entire Nation knows the Media is worthless.........their "Approval Rating" reveals this.........no need to keep beating that dead horse.......

Anyway............
