No idea, my parents arent the kind that open my mail :p

I just said "I wanna go to Belgium, I've been writing to this guy there for a few months and he sent me a prospect card that really made me want to go visit" or something like that

Yes, good idea. She is a nice person. Just a little bit sensitive when it is about her childeren meeting someone new...

You should have seen her when my brother got home with his girlfriend... She was NOT happy :D
 
She doesn't. She wants to control everything untill the very day I get married. THEN it's up to me. Not a day earlier. :D :D
 
ouch, I wouldnt have liked that, but then again, in norway we are raised to be very independent
 
I understand her view. She wants to protect her childeren. I think when she sees it's ok, she'll accept it. Thats how it went with my brother and his girlfriend. The first few months weren't nice (there were a lot of words between my brother and my parents), but after a while, they accepted it. Poor bro. I suppose I might have an advantage being the 2nd :D
 
but that's the thing (sorry of I sound like I'm bashing you parents, thats not what I mean to do, but)
If she was a good person, why give her trouble in the first place? People are supposed to grow older and find gf/bfs, if they didn't, they'd have to stay at home until they got old :p
