I asked the question recently, who is Holy?

The cleansed people of the most High. So if you have trusted in Christ,
been cleansed and purified, God declares you Holy.

So do not let the enemy strip you of your rights and status in the Kingdom
of our King, through cynicism and unbelief.

The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.
Prov 28:1

Yeah the bible is clear....the faith and righteousness of Christ is imputed to the one who exercises faith into the finished work of Christ while our sin (all sins ever committed) are nailed to the cross and paid for dia the blood of Christ....When he said it is FINISHED--->that equals PAID IN FULL and there is nothing else needed to satisfy the HEAVENLY FATHER.....my debt has been paid and settled by Jesus...end of story!

Amen bro. If you have any sin which was not paid for on the cross. Your doomed forever. because there can be no more forgiveness for that sin.

Without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness.

Christs blood washes us white as snow.. forever. or we are dead in our sin, no in between.

Who is Holy?

in Gods standard. Only God is holy, His Son, Jesus, Is the only HOLY human who ever lived.

God sees his children, as washed in blood pure holy people. not because they ARE HOLY but because he sees his son, who stands in their place on the cross.

God does tell us to live holy lives, as his children, not as children of the world. But as we stand where we are, in relation to Gods perfect standard. We are still lacking.. apart from Christ.

Let us look at why the above is unbelief and a lie.

Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”
Acts 10:15

God has made us Holy through His son.

"You are to be my holy people."
Exodus 22:31

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
Rom 12:1

To God’s holy people in Colossae, the faithful brothers and sisters in Christ: Grace and peace to you from God our Father.
Col 1:2

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Col 3:12

As soon as one compromises on walking in Holiness, righteousness and truth,
and everything is just Jesus imputed to us, so every biblical phrase is just
talking about Jesus and not His people, it strips the words of any real meaning
or power.

It is saying, we do not know who we are, where we are, really gross sinners,
or only occasional dabblers, all these verses are about Jesus and so irrelevant.

That is unbelief and taking away the power of what the apostles are saying.

We are Holy, washed, pure, clean, walking in the fellowship with God and the
Holy Spirit, a place of eternity and great grace and love. So recognize it and
do not let others disown our inheritence.

I know bowed down, holy people disowned and feeling lost and alone, when God
says, "You are my chosen dearly loved Holy children walking in my ways, and close to
my heart, be encouraged and know God loves you and provides for you."

smh.. I just have to laugh.. Some people will just never get it, They will try to stand on judgment day with THEIR HOLINESS, and not the righteousness of Christ imputed to them.

Well all I have to say is this, Good luck with that.

as for me, I will stand in christ, not in self.

oh and by the way. Did EG say it was ok to live in sin and not walk in the ways of god?

What a beautiful blue sky the Lord gave us.

"What?...the sky is not green, that is a lie and unbelief. Everyone knows the sky is blue."

Psalm 11:3 (KJV)

Sometimes we just need to let things be and wait for the Lord to bring revelation of Him to us all. Unless the Lord build the house - they labor in vain who build it.

Spiritually my heart teaches me some realities.
When I stand correctly on His word and declaration my spirit leaps with joy.

If scripture says we as followers of Christ walking in obedience to His word,
with love at our core, open hearts, having fellowship with the most High through the
Holy Spirit, are Gods Holy people, how is it that we are saying something about ourselves
or claiming anything other than that which God has given us.

The enemy will always mock, will always try and accuse, bring condemnation against those
who walk in the Spirit, but there now is no condemnation for those who walk in Christ Jesus.

And why did Paul write this? Because of the position being taken above attempting to rob
Gods people of their inheritance.

Do you not hear the envy, anger and malice displayed, the desire to tear down, rip up, say
how dare they claim such a thing.

God is too Holy, and we are too sinful for the two to ever meet.

But this is what Christ did and the cross is all about. It should be your faith in Christ Jesus.

what is sad is not only will they try to stand on their own merit.. They will have to answer for slandering people. Yet non of this seems to phase them at all.

That should be enough to get anyone listening to them to run so far from their gospel that there is no distance that is to great.

Slander is slander.

You can say it in the nicest voice ever, with no anger, envy or malice in evidence,

it is still bearing false witness, Which is according to one of the ten commands a sin, punishable by eternal death unless atonement is made for that sin.

That atonment must be the shedding of blood. Not someone saying they are sorry..

I guess the people who like to proclaim how holy, clean, righteous they are never take into account Jesus's words- by your words you bill acquitted and by your words you WILL BE CONDEMED.

and if you do not understand that by BIBLICAL STANDARDS no one, not you, or me , or anyone is HOLY in the flesh. Paul said in Philippians 3 that HE was not perfect. but you would tell him he was wrong for saying that........

I find it ironic the one telling you if you do not understand what it means to be holy. When he does not understand what it takes to be holy.

The word holy simply means to be set aside, or sanctified for specific purpose of God. He has set those aside in whom He has called before they were born.

Jer 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Not that we can understand the mystery but we are given His understanding, as the wisdom of God so that we might believe Him .

1Co 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory

He has set aside even the mountains in that way but the dirt on one mountain is not more righteous than the dirt of another. Holy is something God does.it should move us to be more and more like Him .But we do m not put the horse before the cart and turning things upside down as if He has no understanding to offer us.

Isaiah 29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for "shall the work" say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, "He had no understanding"?

Ok. What you are saying is no human being can be called Holy. But we are God Holy people.
Paul says we are a temple of the Holy Spirit. He goes on to say the clean cannot be joined
with the unclean.

So sinners, unclean, saints, clean. The argument is the children in the family are regarded
as Holy.

Your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.
1 Cor 7:14

So something clean is holy, undefiled, pure, something of God.

It is your theology which says on earth we can never be truly clean or
undefiled. But Paul does not believe that, which is obvious.

Paul did not like using the word perfect, because it has other meanings
outside of holiness and purification. Paul did believe we are purified, clean,
undefiled, holy. If you walk according to the Spirit that is what you are.

You do not believe him, and will ignore every verse that says otherwise,
because if you accept it says otherwise your case is lost. This is called
observational bias.

To me it is as plain as day. Your unbelief and self condemnation are the
reasons you refuse to accept the scriptural reality.

The word holy simply means to be set aside, or sanctified for specific purpose of God.
If this was the meaning then why is there so much dispute?
I would say this is a fundamental divide between Paul and the early church fathers.

Paul opens his letters Gods Holy people, but I have not read this language with the
later believers.

I myself would not say I am Holy, because it is not language I am used to or
can picture. But Paul is saying that is what we are.

Something strange happens in our spirits when we accept who we are in Christ.
G7 keeps on saying we are born into the Kingdom at new birth, Holy, perfect,
righteous, complete. He talks that we should recognise our position in Christ
and walk in it.

So let me embrace this spiritual reality. Oh but I am not to embrace it, because
I am not the one who is really born again. But then they also are not embracing
it because they are failed sinners who cannot realise the words.

So someone is lying about what they believe, faking a position with words and
then decrying its reality when someone realises what Christ is saying to us.

Who is the father of lies? The one who creates images and illusions, but when
you walk in them denies the very same thing they claimed was true.

It is the nature of mirages, the goal is out of reach, never to be obtained but always
hoped for. But the enemy will and is defeated, and Gods people will overcome and
walk in Christs ways. This was foreseen from eternity to eternity.

That's right, all Christians, by the very nature of being Christians, are already holy in that we are already set apart by God, for God. That holiness does not equal sinlessness….at least not yet. Not until the day of Jesus Christ when we will be brought to completion.

“He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6
