We're not talking about math, but some pattern of interaction God has with humans. I don't care if he overcame the world. Jesus accomplished nothing lasting. If he wanted peace, he failed. If he wanted to have followers to pass down the knowledge necessary to walk above disease and death, he failed. If he wanted to change the world, he failed.

Countering it in what way? He says God loves us and we have purpose. Are you saying the opposite?

Please go ahead and explore, on your own, my option number two. I'll even look up the term for you and get back to you.
While you're at it, try to find out why it was necessary for God to have a sacrifice. And why would it have had to be God Himself? A clue is that God is a JUST God. He must be just or His verdicts would have no meaning for us. The verdict I refer to is where we'll be spending eternity.
Oh. And He gives US the choice of where it is we'll be spending eternity. He does not decide for us. He HAS made a reparation for our sins, and we will sin each and every day.
And as far as love: Think of this: Most days do you wake up feeling well, or do you wake up feeling sick? Feeling well, I would assume unless you have a disease. The well is God. The sick is satan. There is more well in the world than sick in the world.

The names I was looking for are: Theism and Deism.
There is "open Deism" and "closed Deism". Some will define just "deism" as the God who created everything and then left it to us to continue unaided. Theism describes a personal God. You'll find some info here, but there is much more if you google Deism. On Wiki scroll down to the titles of Theism and Deism, but the info is limited. Please do the study on your own and do not depend on anyone else.

You should be able to find a lot of information on this. Because Jesus is God and I believe in Jesus, I must also believe that God is a personal God. I must also know that I CANNOT understand everything about God, or I would BE God!! We only know what HE wants us to know or feels we need to know.

His book is called The Jesus Driven Life, and he sees us as being sort of chauffeured through life, with Jesus taking us where He wants us to go, rather than us having some sort of divine Purpose that dictates our path through life.
For instance, I don't think Fran nor I feel we had a divine purpose that was to locate you and give you whatever we may have. But my friend sees us being here as passengers in God's car, and He chose to make the last three or four turns that would bring us right next to you walking down a dusty, hot, discouraging road, bringing you alongside the open windows we are sitting beside in the car.
You said something. We looked. And now we are all three having the conversation God intended for us to have........ and God is watching us all from His place behind the wheel.

Anyway, we all have suffered. We each feel our own suffering. I'm not going to write to you to compare who is suffering more because I know it will end one day.
You say you don't believe in hell. OK. Do you believe in heaven? Do you believe you have a soul? A spirit? Do you
believe in an afterlife?
Let's say you don't believe in an afterlife... Does this mean one does not exist? Could YOU be mistaken?

Ive been listening for 45 years. I am tired of listening, and hearing nothing, because God does not speak, and it is time for me to grow up and leave myths. Santa claus and the tooth fairy was easy to let go of. God is a bit harder to release.

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups, and set about nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard.
As he was driving the last nail into the post, he felt tug on his overalls.
He looked down into the eyes of a little boy.
“Mister,” he said, “I want to buy one of your puppies.”
“Well,” said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat of the back of his neck, “these puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money.”
The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then reaching deep into his pocket,
he pulled out a handful of change and held it up to the farmer. “I’ve
got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take a look?”
“Sure,” said the farmer. And with that he let out a whistle. “Here Dolly!” he called.
Out from the doghouse and down ramp ran Dolly followed by four little balls of fur.
The little boy pressed his face against the chain link fence. His eyes danced with delight.
As the dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy noticed
something else stirring inside the doghouse.
Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably smaller.
Down the ramp it slid. Then in a awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up….
“I want that one,” the little boy said, pointing to the runt.
The farmer knelt down at the boy’s side and said, “Son, you don’t want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would.”
With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made shoe.
Looking back up at the farmer, he said, “You see sir, I don’t run too well myself, and he will need someone who understands.”
With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and picked up the little pup. Holding it carefully he handed it to the little boy.
“How much?” asked the little boy.
“No charge,” answered the farmer, “There’s no charge for love.”
