You should read the real Mutiny on the H.M.S. Bounty. It's really fascinating reading. Bligh was an excellent sailor, and not totally the villain. His villainy was in not defending the innocent men who had no part in the mutiny. Christian had some gripes, but really wasn't justified in mutiny. He caused the deaths of a lot of innocent men.
I liked reading Maus very much. The author also incorporated his parents' lives after the Holocaust, so the reader could see how it affected them for the rest of their lives.
I looked up your signature quote. Where is it from?
Lol I never thought Bligh was the villain to begin with. Yes, I should read the adult version of that some time. I scarcely remember the kids version even. It was a very long time a go I read it. Just remembered that when you mentioned the Illustrated Classics. Another one of those I read was Last of the Mohicans, and I also read the real book of that too, one of my favorites. One of my very favorite movies too.
I might have to hunt that Maus down some time after I am done reading The Aeneid by Virgil and what is looking like 1984.
As for the quote, it is a Christianization of Rhapsody of Fire's Queen of the Dark Horizons. A song and a band I would not recommend to anyone whose faith is so weak that they will flip out over music.
It should translate to:
White Rose cries of innocent blood.
From the abyss she returns to scream the sentence.
