I guess not plain enough for the "workers for" it is like.....God has made it so simple......he had to dumb it down so we in our "high and mighty" not so bright wisdom could get it....and yet.....most miss the obvious......crazy hey.......

PLENTEOUS in number (many) will come before the throne of JESUS expecting their works based means of salvation to guarantee their right to enter the kingdom....<--A DIFFERENT DOOR that leads to the lake of fire....they are described as workers of iniquity...WHY?...because their sins were never covered under the blood because of the false gospel they put their faith in.....faith plus works will not work....EVER..as a means of biblical salvation.....!
FAITH plus WORKS for salvation = a false gospel, no power to save, double cursed and leads to hell......end of story!

I agree without God we cannot grow in the things of God.
I do not know of someone suggesting anyone can.
For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Labels are dangerous things, and when labels are miss-placed much harm can be done.

I have witnessed to people who did follow a "I am good enough to enter the Kingdom"
approach and led them to the cross and life in Christ, so I know of what I speak.
So whatever you are, you have things very confused and would rather make enemies
than friends, which again is a very strange fruit of your approach.
Do you know how to love people, through listening and understanding their language
reach out and help them open the door to Christ and His word?
And if you think you are able to do this, how are you doing this now?

seeing this fruit flow out to others is life itself.
Somehow for some love is not their key motivation or heart beat, yet Christ is the
flag of their allegiance, while harsh words and condemnation is the automatic ministry
of spreading the good news.
In my experience of witnessing to legalists and good works justifiers is to talk about love
changing ones heart through knowing Christ and what He has done. Once you see this,
nothing needs doing to justify, everything is a sacrificial offering of praise.

Amen to that...the legalists and "workers for" are very, very deceptive.....just like the snake in the garden....add a word here or devalue a word there.......maybe even totally reject the definition of a word or verb tense.....we see it all the time....in a very sneaky, sly way will twist it just a little.....it does not take much...just a little twist here or there....
Blah blah blah blah......none of that has to do with acquiring eternal life, salvation, justification (rendered innocent) and the sanctification (positionally) in Christ dia faith......SEALED with the spirit of PROMISE and born of INCORRUPTABLE SEED....

dc - You are both blind and deaf. This is not a conversation, I am making a point
and you are saying something else, which to me means nothing.
God bless you, I am just sharing what is on my heart, and learning how to love you
and the rest of your group better, and try and understand how you are driven by
your repeated set phrases as if they summarise the truth alone, and everything
else is disconnected. It probably means this is exactly how it appears to you.

The trouble with such changes is they work both ways.
Because a small change can effect the whole meaning you have to weigh each
version and see which makes more sense.
Once you are convinced by one framework it is always hard to accept another
without a big psychological jump, which can be hard.
I suggest, if you are able to, investigate both and then test it with scripture.
You will often find your initial assumptions were wrong and a different mixture is
often the heart of God, which neither party saw. It leads us often to humbleness,
and wonder at the King we follow and to see His ways are more wonderful than ours.
