Yeah.......nice avoidance of the answer.........
I rejoice in the truth. Shouldn't you & stop being bitter. I notice that you'er so proud of your knowledge and your own words rather than the true words of God. You boast so much of a close minded argument that you forgot to quote the very words of God that is written by the apostles, disciples of Christ who bear witness to Him. One more thing, i suggest that you also acknowledge God the Father in your declaration of faith just as the apostle Paul in his address to the church. Just an observation bro for the edification of the church.

I hear the quote of Eph. 2:8-9 all the time to prove salvation is of God and not of man. But then the preachers list the works we must do to be saved. We must confess {verb} we must repent {verb} we must believe {verb} have faith {the Bible tells us in 1 Cor. that faith is a work "works of faith"} But no one ever quotes the next verse in Eph. 2. Verse 10 tells us that our works are ordained by God that we should walk in them.

The Bible tells us in Colossians that we are dead in our sins. How does a dead man believe or accept etc. Jesus said unless we come to him as a little child we cannot enter His Kingdom. A little child doesn't know all the technical things to save themselves. So salvation is totally and entirely up to God.

In John 1:13 we read; Which were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. The Jews thought they were saved by their bloodline, many think they are saved by fleshly will or desire, many think it is by the free will of man, but it isn't. It is all of God.

We read in James and in 1 John how the works we do, the good works, come after salvation. We clearly see that in Eph. 2: 10. We will do good works as the result of the fruit of the Spirit. That is how God ordains these works we will do.

By the way the truth of everything bugging your head are all in the scriptures, just need an open mind, heart, eyes, ears & true faith to accept them. This thread is turning into a discussion for baby Christians the way it appears and a good way to promote division rather than unity.

New International Version 1984 James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
People can do these things, and they are dead works. It is not the "WORK" that is in question, it is the reason behind the work..

why did you not go to John where jesus said it is the work of God that we belief (have faith)

And eph 2: 10 is the result of salvation. NOT the means to salvation. so their is a huge difference between working "for" and working "as a result of" .

Amen bro.....none of us have said there will not be works or fruit.......the contention is....that salvation is based entirely upon faith void of human merit or effort.....

faith and faith alone saves and it is all the work of Christ........one will produce after a period of growth and maturity...creation even testifies to this, but the works and fruit do not save, keep saved or maintain salvation...even 1 (one) piece of fruit proves what sort of tree it is and even then.....a saved child of God can have fruit indicative of wood, hay and stubble........

Good to see you here bro.....post away

Who is bitter and your right I am close minded to what the bible teaches and will always oppose satanic doctrine that leads to hell......

Faith plus works for salvation leads to hell<---Galatians 1, 3

I suggest you open your eyes to the truth.....serious!

New International Version 1984 John 3:21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”

2 Corinthians 4:2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by SETTING FORTH THE TRUTH PLAINLY we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

2 Timothy 3:12-17 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 2:25 Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,

1 Corinthians 4:4-7 My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men’s hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God. Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, “Do not go beyond what is written.” Then you will not take pride in one man over against another. For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?

1 Peter 2:1-12 Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone,” and, “A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

Romans 16:17-20 I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

It goes out right from the horse's mouth that God's Word has no bearing in this thread.

New International Version 1984 Luke 6:43-45 A Tree and Its Fruit “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. FOR OUT OF THE OVERFLOW OF HIS HEART, HIS MOUTH SPEAKS.

Hey MR. CONTROVERSY you have just unmasked yourself!!!

New International Version 1984 Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

2 Corinthians 2:11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; IT JUDGES THE THOUGHTS AND ATTITUDES OF THE HEART.

…Now I understand why you don’t quote verses from the scriptures but boasts of your own words.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

Malachi 2:8-9,17 But you have turned from the way and by your teaching have caused many to stumble; you have violated the covenant with Levi,” says the Lord Almighty. “So I have caused you to be despised and humiliated before all the people, because you have not followed my ways but have shown partiality in matters of the law.” The Day of Judgment You have wearied the Lord with your words. “How have we wearied him?” you ask. By saying, “All who do evil are good in the eyes of the Lord, and he is pleased with them” or “Where is the God of justice?”

Malachi 3:13-18 “You have said harsh things against me,” says the Lord. “Yet you ask, ‘What have we said against you?’ “You have said, ‘It is futile to serve God. What did we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty? But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly the evildoers prosper, and even those who challenge God escape.’” Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name. “They will be mine,” says the Lord Almighty, “in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.

I unmasked nothing....everything I said is consistent with what I have always said....so....maybe you need lessons in English or slow down and read what is actually written.

I suggest John 15 if you cannot understand my example.......read it SLOOOOOWLLLY so you can understand!
