HEY,can GOD really speak to a human anyway?
I am amazed by this.'cause this happened to me a fortnight ago.I was in a youth meet and it was a anointing meet actually.It went on for a full day.In the morning I was rather dull there 'cause the day before I had done a wrong thing,but in the afternoon God's presence was there and I simply couldn't keep still so I asked God to forgive me and was asking God about my future,and I pryed for a revalation but nothing happened.then that meet came to an end,and as I was leaving a woman walked up tp me and told"Dani,you are special 'cause when I was praying today I saw GOD's presence around you and I saw him fill you and the best surprise is that,you can hear GOD's voice,Him talking to u".I was utterly amazed,but still I have a doubt that can GOD talk to a human like me?or is it a hogwash.

please do advice me on this:)

The first recorded instance of God talking to anyone was:

Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

I don't agree with people saying that a meeting is anointed. the only one who can anoint is God. the only things that are anointed are what it says in the bible

Yes, and sometimes He spoke to a whole nation of humans. (Israel)

All over the bible you will see God audibly speaking to people. But God wants to be more intimate than that. He will most likely speak to your soul and give you thoughts.

BUT HEY.. God can speak to you however He wants!! Who am I to limit the ALMIGHTY!!

God CAN (as if He couldn't??) and DOES talk to people. Most people do not recognize what they hear or 'think' as being God's "still small voice". You are no less important than Moses!! For God is not a respector of persons, treating all the same as we are ALL His children.
To NOT believe that God still talks to His children today is to be being oppressed by a spirit of unbelief ...and also a spirit of religion. The church has been very remiss about teaching that God still speaks. It's also been very lax in teaching HOW God speaks.
Mark Virkler has a book out called "Hearing the Voice of God"...excellent. Cindy Jacobs, James Goll and John Paul Jackson also have books or CD teachings on this. It IS worth your time and money to invest in at least one or two so that you can have a better understanding.

Just pray for your heart, mind and soul to be open to God. Ask for his wisdom, his revelation, his thoughts, his mind and his will to be in you. God talks all the time. He talks out loud where you turn to see whose talking to you. He talks in his voice inside of your mind. He talks in your voice inside of your mind. He talks in his thoughts he gives you. He talks in dreams and vissions. He talks to you thr other people. He talks to you in things you see each day. He talks thr his word. He talks to you at bible studies, etc.

God won't speak to you audibly, unless you are a very very very special person. He didn't do it that many times in the bible when you think about it.. and who He did it to was also a consideration.

But He will always speak straight to your soul .. you heart. This is through scripture.. how it applies to your life. For eg.. you may be thinking about a job whether it is a Godly thing to go for.. and then when you go to a church service or are reading the bible you find a part that speaks directly to your situation.. this is God talking to you! Don't need to have all kinds of emotional feelings and stuff.. if there is scripture that fits your situation, the chances are very very high that God is speaking to ya in that scripture.

God's Will for you is never seperated from His written Word. It is confirmed in it. He speaks to us all the time ya.. but completely consistent with His Word.

And what the lady said to you? Well I don want to burst your bubble.. but have you ever heard of the Barnum Personality Affect? Horoscopes? They use the technique of using a pre-prepared written statement that gets recycled every month or whatever and make it broad enough to apply to anyone.. with a few specifics so you think it is about you.

I mean hey.. I could just say right now that God thinks you are special.. and I'd be right because scripture plainly speaks that you are fearfully and wonderfully made!

Anyhoo.. if you are going to look for God to speak into your life.. meditate on scripture and apply it to your life.. and you will notice a very strong, quiet guiding hand in your life!

When I was a boy and our dog’s water dish was empty, he didn’t say, “Hey, my water dish is empty.” He would just scratch the floor next to his water dish with his paw. He couldn’t talk but he found a way to communicate. The Lord surely communicates with us.

Hi Daniella, How wonderful for you. There is no greater joy than the beginning of your willingness to hear his voice. Yes he does speak to us, through his word, others and sometimes directly to our hearts through his Holy Spirit.
This is why daily time with him is so important. With reading the word, praying and fellowship, you begin to know him through his son Jesus Our Lord and savior. It also helps alot in diserning. Which can sometimes be our biggest hurdle, not because of God, but we often get in our own way. But trust in Jesus and all will be made right.
This is a happy and good moment, enjoy what God Our Father has for you and praise him always. :D

everybody gives their opinion and opinions are like noses everybody has one, why don't people give bibical references, after all isn't this a Bible Discussion Forum, Jesus said that He was the same yeasterday, the same today and will be the same tomorrow. so If He( Jesus being God) spoke to paul in acts

Ac 9:4And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

and God spoke to adam and eve and to the serpent, in Genesis , and God spoke to Samuel


1sa 3:4That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I.
and He spoke to John in rev, I think , no wait I know He can speak to people today, and He won't have to scratch the floor beside the water bowl to let you know what He wants .

and,today I went to a prayer meeting again and a woman.....placed her hand on my head and said.................here is what the Spirit says
"my love,my beautiful one"..................I'm gonna use you in my work................"that's was cool
God calling me His loved one.................

THANK YOU JESUS............................WHO AM I THAT YOU CHOOSE ME..............?????

Phoenix,

Get your facts right boy. Jesus said where two or more are gathered in His name then He is there in their midst. His presence or the presence of the Holy Spirit makes that meeting anointed.

How small is the box that you have put God into. I pity your small view of His powers and abilities. God spoke to many people throughout the Bible. The fact that the Bible is complete does not limit God's abilities to speak, or manifest His power as He sees fit to do.

I strongly suggest you ask God to reveal Himself top you in all His fullness but if you do, watch out!

There doesn't have to be 2 or 3 people there for God to anoint or for God to be there. All he needs is one open heart. 2 or 3 agreeing on something is better thats for sure!
