You still didn't answer the question about Paul and I am not comparing myself to Paul... as except for getting older and having a few issues I feel pretty good for 62.....no complaints and yes I believe God can heal anyone of anything but is it God's plan and will to do so every time?

God knows each individual and He is in the character building/saving business and He will do whatever it takes to save us.... So if that means someone has to not be healed in order to stick close to God then He might not heal them because if He did they might go off on their own and eventually be lost....

Nope God does what is best to save each individual the way that individual needs to be saved.
The problem is people think God will NEVER heal them. It is true that he doesn't heal right away because he wants you to stick close to him but don't ever put a time table on your/someone else's healing. That is for God to decide.

I agree with Willie's point of view. God CAN still heal me, but on the other hand, He may choose not to. That's what I meant on the other thread when I said I probably wouldn't be healed in this lifetime--simply because God may have chosen not to heal me for some reason.. :)

Personally, if I didn't have epilepsy, I couldn't share my testimony about it with others who have that same disease, and encourage them. :) So maybe that's the reason God hasn't healed me "yet"..

[SUP]2 [/SUP]Surely I am more stupid than any man,
And do not have the understanding of a man.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]I neither learned wisdom
Nor have knowledge of the Holy One.[SUP]4 [/SUP]Who has ascended into heaven, or descended?
Who has gathered the wind in His fists?
Who has bound the waters in a garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is His name, and what is His Son’s name,
If you know?

[SUP]5 [/SUP]Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Do not add to His words,
Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]Two things I request of You
(Deprive me not before I die):
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Remove falsehood and lies far from me;
Give me neither poverty nor riches—
Feed me with the food allotted to me;
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Lest I be full and deny You,
And say, “Who is the Lord?”
Or lest I be poor and steal,
And profane the name of my God.

[SUP]10 [/SUP]Do not malign a servant to his master,
Lest he curse you, and you be found guilty.

[SUP]11 [/SUP]There is a generation that curses its father,
And does not bless its mother.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes,
Yet is not washed from its filthiness.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]There is a generation—oh, how lofty are their eyes!
And their eyelids are lifted up.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]There is a generation whose teeth are like swords,
And whose fangs are like knives,
To devour the poor from off the earth,
And the needy from among men.

[SUP]15 [/SUP]The leech has two daughters—
Give and Give!
There are three things that are never satisfied,
Four never say, “Enough!”:
[SUP]16 [/SUP]The grave,[SUP][a][/SUP]
The barren womb,
The earth that is not satisfied with water—
And the fire never says, “Enough!”

[SUP]17 [/SUP]The eye that mocks his father,
And scorns obedience to his mother,
The ravens of the valley will pick it out,
And the young eagles will eat it.

[SUP]18 [/SUP]There are three things which are too wonderful for me,
Yes, four which I do not understand:
[SUP]19 [/SUP]The way of an eagle in the air,
The way of a serpent on a rock,
The way of a ship in the midst of the sea,
And the way of a man with a virgin.

[SUP]20 [/SUP]This is the way of an adulterous woman:
She eats and wipes her mouth,
And says, “I have done no wickedness.”

[SUP]21 [/SUP]For three things the earth is perturbed,
Yes, for four it cannot bear up:
[SUP]22 [/SUP]For a servant when he reigns,
A fool when he is filled with food,
[SUP]23 [/SUP]A hateful woman when she is married,
And a maidservant who succeeds her mistress.

[SUP]24 [/SUP]There are four things which are little on the earth,
But they are exceedingly wise:
[SUP]25 [/SUP]The ants are a people not strong,
Yet they prepare their food in the summer;
[SUP]26 [/SUP]The rock badgers[SUP][b][/SUP] are a feeble folk,
Yet they make their homes in the crags;
[SUP]27 [/SUP]The locusts have no king,
Yet they all advance in ranks;
[SUP]28 [/SUP]The spider[SUP][c][/SUP] skillfully grasps with its hands,
And it is in kings’ palaces.

[SUP]29 [/SUP]There are three things which are majestic in pace,
Yes, four which are stately in walk:
[SUP]30 [/SUP]A lion, which is mighty among beasts
And does not turn away from any;
[SUP]31 [/SUP]A greyhound,[SUP][d][/SUP]
A male goat also,
And a king whose troops are with him.[SUP][e][/SUP]

[SUP]32 [/SUP]If you have been foolish in exalting yourself,
Or if you have devised evil, put your hand on your mouth.
[SUP]33 [/SUP]For as the churning of milk produces butter,
And wringing the nose produces blood,
So the forcing of wrath produces strife.

That could be true. But be opened minded, don't just think of yourself as the person who has had many sicknesses and tells people about it. You can be the person who has had many sicknesses and has been healed from all of them because of childlike faith in Jesus.

What I hate hearing is, "you're not healed because you don't have (enough) faith". Well, how much is enough? God says we only need the size of a mustard seed. That's about as small as a grain of salt. :) So that teeny amount should be more than sufficient..

Exactly! The devil is good at tricking us into assuming what God doesn't want for us.

God will heal people,and can heal people,but I do not believe that He will heal everybody,but it is for a specific reason,and that is by not healing the person it causes them to be more spiritual,and depend on God,and if someone gets too arrogant thinking they are something special,God may allow a physical ailment to come upon them to keep them humble,but this ailment does not come from God for He is good and love,but He allows it.

Paul received many visions,and revelations,from God,and because of that God allowed a messenger of Satan to buffet him,and he received a thorn in the flesh,to keep him humble,for if Paul would of gotten arrogant thinking he was something special,God could not use him,and he would of been in a wrongful state,for God resists the proud,but gives grace unto the humble,and pride comes before a fall,so Paul said,I will glory in my infirmities,for when I am weak then I am strong,for the power of Christ rests on me.

Some people God will not heal for it causes them to be humble,depend on God more,and more spiritual,which that is the benefit to our walk with God,and the problems of the flesh are temporary,and will pass away when we are gone.

So in truth a person not being healed will put them in a better position spiritually,if they are with God in the truth,for God has a reason not to heal the person,and it would have to do with their spirituality,and of course some people do not get healed because they do not abide in the truth.

You're right. But again, it is not good to assume God won't heal someone. He can heal someone whenever he wants. It seems like people on here are leaning towards God not wanting to heal people. People have so much doubt it is crazy.

Jesus is a physician. Did he not say that himself? He never said "Hey look at me I'm God, I want you to be sick forever because you need to be close to me!" You can become healthy and still be close with God afterwards!

Jesus didn't heal everyone.

There's the pool of Bethesda incident. There was a multitude gathered and Jesus healed only one person.

Jesus didn't heal the man who was placed at the temple every day to beg. He was the lame man that Peter and John healed later.

Timothy had frequent illnesses and stomach trouble. God didn't heal him. Paul tells him to take a little wine for his stomach and his frequent illnesses.

As blue mentioned we have Paul's thorn in the side. Jesus said no - his grace is sufficient.

Another time Paul had severe eye trouble. The Galatians were willing to give him one of their own eyes. So Paul must not have been able to see very well or some disease had attacked it.

Paul, during one of his missionary trips drops Trophimus off at Miletus because he was sick.

I believe in healing and have longed for it. Who wouldn't want to be healed when they deal with pain every day of their life?

We all who love God and are His - have faith. Even if our faith was as small as a mustard seed, it's
enough faith to be healed. But many leave their prayer closet without a healing.

There's a group of people who will condemn you because you're not healed. You don't have enough faith. There's sin in your life. You were involved in the occult and you haven't repented of it so you're cursed. The list goes on and on as to why a person isn't healed.

They'd probably tell the apostle Paul that he didn't have enough faith to be healed. And in so doing, they would be judging God. It's God who said no.

So all of you who are those that might tend to be this way to judge others who aren't healed. Please stop. The condemnation reaped upon us is too much to bear. It's not our fault we're not healed.

And how many of you who point the finger at others - do you have some type of malady that your not healed of? Arthritis? Do you wear glasses? A hearing aid possibly? Or maybe you suffer with allergies? Osteoporosis?

Well the list could go on and on, but I'm guessing you see the point I'm making. Let's move out in love and truly love one another instead of judging one another.

My point was people, is that you are not the judge of someone's healing. That is between them and God. No one else. Not even you o experienced one.

We are already conquerors because God guaranteed healing. We just need to participate in the process by enduring it. God will not remove the affliction instantly but will walk with us through it so we won't get burned. Refusing to participate by running away because of fear or pride will only delay the fulfillment of God's promises.

For the pool of Bethesda incident, the bible only talks about that one person being healed, but that does not mean Jesus didn't heal other people there too. The bible does not always bring up every single person Jesus healed. And at the end of the day, wasn't the lame man still healed by God? He still got his healing. The Holy Spirit was working through Peter and John.

But isn't it normal or human, to have fear and doubt when you're in agony or have a terminal illness? I know when I had cancer, it scared the you know what outta me.. :(

And when I had my herniated disk and sciatica, my body was so stressed and on overload, that my bladder let loose and I peed myself. That only happened once but it scared the crap outta me because I haven't lost my bladder function since I was a teenager having grand mal seizures.. Weird thing is, it was pure water.. No urine at all. Just water..

Joh 21:24 This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
Joh 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

Right,not everything Jesus did could be recorded,for the volume of the book would be so big we could not even carry it around,hey,you group of 100 men,come over here,and help us carry this Bible over to this place,and all we need is a few scriptures telling us what Jesus did to get the answer that He did heal.
