Can God Use Me?
(Eph 2:10 [KJV])
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
I was just listening to a radio show, and got both a blessing and a punch in the head all at the same time. If we are created for good works, then the obvious answer is 'yes'. The thing is, I already know the answer to the question posed in the title. I have also walked the road long enough to be aware of some of the spiritual abilities that the Lord has given me. For me, the question is "Have I been doing what I know I can do, or have I busied myself in too many other things?"
(Luke 10:41,42 [KJV])
And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
The pastor said "Yes, I know that you go to Church, but you can go to Church and not do anything." Some of us go to work and do things for money, but do we do anything more than what we did before we were saved?
I realize that if you are a young person or a new Christian, you may not know what your gifts are or how to use them, but this is not the case for me. I have just been a lazy procrastinator latey and needed some cold water splashed in my face. We all need that sometimes, don't we?
