This isn't the real problem in Christianity today though. Iv'e got a real life story also.

Our old pastor was busted for hiring a prostitute. Our church had probably about 500 to 700 people in it.

He was fired. And made a public apology to us. And I watched just about every person walk up to him, hug him, smile and said," It's all forgiven."

And when we had group bible study after this, I watched those very same people, gossip,malign and burn him at the stake........ including the new pastor.

For every one believer who messes up royally, there are 1000 that have themselves set up on a pedestal.
Shocking, truly shocking.
So sad that people act like that.

My bible said sin came by Adam...not the serpent....the serpent did not slander he questioned....HATH God said......does not your bible say sin came BY ADAM??
The first transgression.......
The Serpent's Deception
…3but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.'" 4The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die! ( lie and slandering Gods word) 5"For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."…

That really gets me thinking jumbo. The first sin being the lie that if you don't believe what God has said, you won't die...

True what you say.

But can I ask a question?

not sure why I am asking cause I'm gonna ask it anyway.

Given that the serpent was cast out of heaven then was that because he had sinned before God?
We are told he was cast down because of his pride, he wanted to be like God. And we know pride is a sin.

So how do we reconcile that with

Romans 5:12
Death in Adam, Life in Christ
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned

Couple of points to ponder.....

a. Everything God had made was acceptable, useable and called GOOD in Genesis
b. We know sin came into the created world thru Adam...the scripture you and I referenced
c. Satan was cast out of heaven and it seems from a few hints both he and the demons need a body to manifest in the physical creation *see below
d. The serpent (snake) was judged as well and made to crawl on his belly (loss of legs?) and was given a position of enmity with humanity
e. Is it possible that Satan possessed the serpent/snake and or it was used willfully as a conduit?

***from above-->Satan and Michael argued over the body of Moses, Legion begged to enter the herd of swine so as to not be punished before the time, the accounts of possession during the ministry of Jesus and the apostles etc......

Just some points to ponder

He did more than ask the question. Or that could just be my translation come to think of it. In mine, he then goes on to say, you will not surely die but God knows that when you eat of it you will be like God. Actually, I'm going by memory so don't hold me to a literal word for word on that.

The Gospel of Jesus the Christ

The gospel of Jesus the Christ is the good news.
The good news of grace and truth made known to this world through
the Holy Ghost by the name above all names Jesus the Christ the first born of God
the Son of the living God the son of man given birth by woman to which came from man.

For it is written in the Holy Bible...
the scriptures of truth inspired by God.

In the beginning was the Word
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him;
and without him was not any thing made that was made.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God,

Which were born of God.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin;
for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin,
because he is born of God.

We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not;
but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself,
and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Have you received the Word?

If you will receive the Word
God will give you power to become a son of God.
And if you become a son of God by that power
You will become born of God.

And if you become born of God
You will cease from doing sin.

If we say we have sin and say we are born of God
then we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

When Christians tell you they still sin and are born of God...
they are liars. They are not born of God.

When preachers tell you
that even though you are born of God you will still sin....
they are liars. You are not born of God.

For it is written...

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin;
for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin,
because he is born of God.

We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not;
but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself,
and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Satan never wants you to believe or know
that by grace through faith in Jesus Christ
you can become born of God and never
commit another sin.

The reason Christians do not want to believe they can
live without committing sin is because they love there sins
more than God.

That is what it is all about.

The love of sin vs the love of God.
This troll who continues to create multiple accounts and peddles the false doctrine of "sinless perfection" has been banned multiple times now. When he was here as "oceanblue," he said in his profile that he was 19 years old. When he was "QuickSand," he said he was 78 years old, so he lied about his age and lying is a sin.

Those who believe they live a sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, absolute perfect life 100% of the time (exactly as Jesus lived) are suffering from a terminal case of self righteousness (1 John 1:8-10).

I am here the next day and it's still got a hold on my mind! (oh by the way, spellcheck would apparently appreciate it if you would change your name to jumbo instead of jimbo. :D)

So, I know we each have these filters that we sift everything through. Everyone by now knows I have one giant filter and it's "ABIDING!!" I put it in caps juuuust in case you didn't recall me ever using the word ABIDING!! :D Of COURSE you remember me saying it because by now you're not just sick of the word ABIDING because of me, you're also sick of every other word I use to describe it. like, TRUSTING, CONTINUING IN FAITH, PERSEVERING TO THE END, etc. But we all have some thing that we filter the word through, or a certain doctrine we filter it through. We just do.

So why your post hit me in the face yesterday was because...you know how you read, especially the OT, and you begin to suddenly see repetitions on a theme, not just in the bible but also in everyday life, you are pretty sure you see some strange repeat?? Liket. you read about Israel and you see that we do something so similar that it's really the same thing? I could give examples but ,i'm just going to give the one that hit me in the face at your post.

Did God really say you have to continue in trust to live?
Do you see it? It's been put through my filter and I can't help it. I truly believe there is one thing He wants from me and that's to trust His Son. So in areas where He shows me I'm saying I believe but proving myself a liar, (ex: worrying over job, finances), not only am I being a hearer of the word but not a doer, but I'm compounding the issue by being a Pharisee and telling myself I do it (when I don't) and a hypocrite by teaching others to believe then doing the opposite, which will disqualify me, according to Paul: I make sure that after I have taught others, I don't disqualify myself. (my paraphrase).

And I have another filter and it just naturally filters through that one too when I read, and it's the filter of WORKS, because if He shows me these areas of un-trust and my reaction is fear or depression, or beginning to try to change it myself instead of saying, yes, I see Lord, have mercy and help me, and then running to Him when I see I'm stuck in this in-trust, then there's a problem. If my reaction is anything other than sinking deeper into trust and praying and waiting, then I'm just trying hard to grow my own faith, my own self.

So, to the very best of my knowledge and understanding, I have taken faith seriously and have taken works seriously. I've considered the verses on both sides of the fence. I've taken into account His WHOLE counsel, not just some doctrine.

I noticed his twist and addition to the word of God.......like most who push sinless perfectionism......they embellish the truth more than brat at a baseball game.......

that's very bizarre. Promoting and upholding the "truth" by being deceitful about who you are...

The one that got me in trouble was on daystar one day and he was smacking people on their foreheads and they would fall back into someones arms, who would then let them down to the ground, maybe because they'd get sued if someone got a concussion, I don't know. But it would be a funny trial...you must sue God because He's the one who caused her concussion your honor. So anyway, there's a couple, man and woman, and he smacks the woman on the forehead and she's holding hands with her husband, so when she goes down, he goes down too. And Hinn says to his catcher, pick him up, I didn't touch him! So the guy picks him up but they're still holding hands, see, so the woman comes back up also. Then Hinn smacks her on the forehead again and the same thing happens - I did NOT TOUCH HIM, pick him UP!!

I regret not getting to see how it resolved but I was laughing so hard I had to run to the powder room. By the time I got back, a whole new batch of people were on the stage as far as I could tell.

Kind of funny when you think that by me watching Hinn causing people to lose control of their bodies and "pass out" caused me to lose control of my body and have to run for the loo because of him. How'd he DO that...? :D
