I repeat FreeNChrist's words, 'sugar coated hostility is not love.' You are good at that.

James here describes accurately what sugar-coated love looks like in real life. It's people insulting others with their malice and slander and then say "I praise God".

James 3:8-10 (NASB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] But no one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison.

[SUP]9 [/SUP] With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God;

[SUP]10 [/SUP] from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be this way.

Is this an attempt to correct me, get back at me, build me up or tear me down?

It demonstrates a hurting heart, who needs a deeper walk in Christs love, so I
sincerely wish this for your life and I apologise if I have caused you harm,
please forgive me.

Stephen - I do not think there are many of the group left, not the active ones
at least. I think most have realised how futile the position is, nice for a short
stop over but resolves nothing.
What have you done to earn your salvation today?

You're a Radical gracer/Hyp******er? I didn't know that.

Actually, I seem to remember you saying you weren't.

I would much rather have sugar-coated hostility than pure hostility, malice, & hatred from those who claim they're saved no matta what.

I'm not a hypre-gracer; I think people can and do walk away from God and refuse the free gift of grace they once accepted. Be that as it may, your question is answered, and Scripture supports the answer.

Not sure how this helps anything. It is like looking in the mirror of some awful
comedy show where people are trying to make others laugh but failing
dreadfully.

Hello my friend. I still remember your punk analogy to me.
Funny how certain behaviour sticks in the mind.

And when push comes to shove, you play the "I minster to ..." card.

Such animosity as well. Strange thing is it does not work if you
are not even addressing what I believe or how I believe.

I did realise from your perspective of God has bought you a yellow brick road
to heaven which you can never have a problem with it, a kind of lsd trip,
any form of seeing Jesus's words, building your house upon a rock would just
go over your head. So God bless you, and may you find His support as you
share love with the dying and elderly, for truly this is a ministry worthy of
Gods blessing.

I have noticed. People caught in deep sin always see other people in that sin,, and not in themselves.. I think it is a coping mechanism..

True so learn by it.
Valiant, I know you hurt, because I know what it is like to have someone you
love caught up in mental illness.

I would never want to discourage anyone in this terrible situation or the pain
and trauma it causes. It is sad that this is also wrapped up in this really odd
spiritual perspectives, when it is love through Christ that empowers us to cope.

So I do wish you well, though you call what I shared total rubbish, it has helped
me make sense of what is often a seemingly irrational situation.

God bless you,

Peter.
