You hear that Jesus? What you did on the Cross wasn't good enough. But thanks for giving it the old Boy Scout try.
I know....can you imagine what the Lord thinks about his statement.....wow.....talk about slapping Jesus in the face with his own blood and work.....

Are sins covered or removed? Covering sins requires repetitive action (annually in the OT). Removed means it is finished. The workman and women want to force anyone who understands this truth into a state of "license to freely sin". It's a subtle deception, claiming to know the hearts of others. But, they refuse to see how shallow and powerless that view is as well as totally unfounded.

Not according to what the Lord says in Psalms 91... but, the promise of long life is only available to those that dwell in the secret place of the Most High and to those that set their love upon Him and call upon Him in trouble expecting to be delivered of the Lord.

In the New Covenant this is a picture of walking in the Spirit and not after the flesh.

Psalms 91:1-16
He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty....I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust....surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler (devil), and from the noisome pestilence (wicked and perverse plagues)....He shall cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you shall trust: His truth (God’s Word) shall be your shield and buckler....you shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day....nor for the pestilence (plague, disease) that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday....a thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you....only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked....because you have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, your habitation....there shall no evil come near you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling....for He shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways....they shall bear (help, hold up) you up in their hands, lest you stumble your foot against a stone....you shall tread upon the lion and adder (the twisted): the young lion and the dragon (serpent) you shall trample under foot....because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he has known My Name....he shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him....with long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation (deliverance).

People still believe all of God's Word, right?

There's some serious promises in Psalms 91... but it does appear that one must engage the Lord in a close personal relationship in order to live in the secret place of the Most High.

James 4:8
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.

Now, the exception to having a long life would of course being caught up in the Lord's catchin away of His faithful in which case... one would be bypassing death altogether which is a win win!

I said this to a friend the other day ill repost it.

Why does in revelations God says he can blot out names from the book of life if as OSAS says they are saved forever.

Revelation 3New International Version (NIV)

To the Church in Sardis
3 “To the angel[a] of the church in Sardis write:

These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up! Stren; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

4 Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. 5 The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. 6 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Revelation 3:5New King James Version (NKJV)

5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers
He that overcometh.—The promise is repeated to all who overcome; all, not who have never fallen, or failed, but who conquer, shall be clothed in glistening white raiment.

MacLaren's Expositions

But notice that the main thing about it is that this lustrous purity of a perfected character is declared to be the direct outcome of the character, that was made by effort and struggle carried on in faith here upon earth.

The book of the living.....everyone is written into it and only removed due to the rejection of Christ.......

IMO, He will remember our sins no more according to how he looks at us.

But Christ is forever going to carry those scars for our sins.

He will never look at you and I based upon our sins. But He will look upon His Son and see the scars and price He paid for our sins.....forever.
To remember something NO MORE means it is FORGOTTEN......GOD has a perfect memory and even the memory of the WICKED will be forgotten......OUT OF MIND is the thought behind the word.... ;)

That dude has been out on a limb for a long time, but by design he may never see it.

It makes me wonder if he thinks God is thankful to him that he came along to assist the Christ of God in saving him. I mean, God was in serious trouble until he came along to help Him.

The sin unto physical death, a miserable existence, divine discipline, loss of rewards and SHAME at the Bema seat.

But salvation is secure. We will be saved as if through fire because we didn't advance in the Christian way of life in time.
AMEN....If we believe not (after we have believed) he abides faithful because he CANNOT DENY HIMSELF......

I think this is key to advancing to maturity in Christ. If we don't believe that salvation is secure and CANNOT be lost, we can't go very far with the Lord Jesus Christ after he saves us. We will just kinda understand Him, but never really KNOW Him.

Read job 14...everybody's days, months and years are numbered....today may be your last day...or mine...!
That simply means God knows in advance how many days each person is going to live.... cause he knows all things past, present and future.

The word also says it's appointed unto man once to die... but God does say He is the One deciding when.

Either the Lord lied in Pslams 91 or He didn't.

I've had guns pulled on me numerous times and for some odd reason they no shooteth me... cause I'm not scared to die and God ain't done with me!

There are many, many times the Lord has saved each of us from death and in most cases we were not even aware of it.

There are things man can do to shorten his life, and there are things man can do to lengthen his life.

Salvation is secure... and cannot be lost...

But, it can be walked away from. God is not forcing anyone to do anything, including forcing someone to continue walking after the Spirit and not the flesh. Romans 8 is clear and was written to Christians... if you walk after the flesh you shall die.

Numerous warnings in scripture along these lines... if it were not possible to walk away from the Lord, He would not be warning us.

There are people in these last dayz that are serving a false christ and they will go to hell... but they smile and claim to be saved, but they are not even though most started off getting born again and walking with the Lord but were deceived later into being led by an angel of light, a false christ.

Thank you for this. A sinner lost in sin knows two things.
They know the desire to be righteous, to love, to be like Christ yet they also know
their failure and constant difficulties.

Jesus by becoming a man and walking a sinless life, is saying, look at me, look at what
I am doing. What you claim is impossible because of circumstance I have overcome.

God is affirming both our value and our possible victory. The whole thing is to say,
you can be like me, Jesus.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Matt 11:29

A yoke is pulled between two oxen, pulling together.
He is calling us as friends to be with Him, like Him,.

Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Rom 8:17

I know your hearts, you make it plain to me to see. This is your choice, but
God speaks differently and you have missed it. And I know among you are
the elect who hear His voice and love Him dearly.

So I speak to you from Christ. Listen to the place He has called you to, and
the victory He has purchased and walk in faith. He will make it plain if you
dwell in His word.

the last 2 paragraphs are some of the most arrogant garbage I have ever red. you know our hearts, you " speak from Christ" , wow. what a load of junk.

you need to get a big bottle of humility , and drink every bit of it. and apologize for constantly saying you know things you darn well do not.

James 5:19,20
Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
Let him know, that he which converts the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

We know he's talking to Christians cause he said "Brethren"... I guess somebody will come along and say those that have not been saved are our "Brethren" too, so this was not talking to Christians
*Notice - Brethren, if anyone "among" you wanders from the truth..turns a "sinner" from the error of his way.. Some would argue that James says this one who turned from the truth was a "sinner," and was "among" but "not of" the Brethren, then he wasn’t previously saved. That fits 1 John 2:19 - They went out "from" us, but they were "not of" us..

IF this person was a genuine believer, yet how do we know for sure this is the second death in the lake of fire? In Matthew 26:38, Jesus said: "My soul [psuche] is deeply grieved, to the point of death." Jesus was not saying that His soul was deeply grieved to the point of spiritual death, Rather, Jesus was talking about physical death, his human life. In Revelation 16:3, "The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood like that of a dead man; and every living soul [psuche] in the sea died". In 1 Peter 3:20 "... God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, [psuche-souls] were brought safely (saved from drowning, physical death) through the water" by the ark (Hebrews 11:7).

Jesus covered our sins in one way (Romans 4:7) by bringing forgiveness for all believers, yet sins can also be covered in a different way. In Proverbs 10:12, we read: Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins. In 1 Peter 4:8, we read: And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins." Where there is strife, there is hatred and unless love prevails, the strife will get worse. Love covers offenses and sins when a believer turns back from error.

So is this wanderer a professing Christian, whose faith is not genuine, or a sinning Christian, who needs to be restored? For the former, the death spoken of in vs. 20 is the "second death" (Revelation 21:8); for the latter, it is physical death (1 Corinthians 11:29-32; 1 John 5:16).

Amen! 1 Corinthians 2:11 - For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
