And why would it go anywhere for those who are set in their belief?
.
But for those who are not they can see both arguments with a clear mind. And this only helps me understand Calvinist and so i research it and study scripture until it makes since or it dont.

What you dont remember all this was very new to me a few months ago as to i had no idea people thought of salvation differently.

And so i honestly started a thread to learn and to judge my own beliefs. But all of our debates has only push me into more confidence of my beliefs.
with you on this, I get where you are coming from.

I myself had to go down the route of what is it believe and why. My beliefs were on the basis of what I had been told.
So I decided to research myself. I too can see both sides and to be honest it does my head in.

So for me I am starting to come down on the side of its what is it that relates to my experiences with God.
Not a jaundiced experience but the reality of God working in me.

I think it is time to put these people on ignore.. (they can join PJ) They have exposed themselves to the whole chatroom. There is nothing else we can do for them.

All they will do is slander, attack, Call you names, then when they are confronted, they blame shift. They are manipulators..

It is time to turn them over to God maybe?
I wonder where these ideas came from. It is like a fist fight in a playground, who
laid the first blow. If you say no one knows what you believe and the other side
are not answering questions, it really means there is not a set of common concepts
being discussed with a common agenda.

Not surprising then things descend into the mess. But how much do people really
want light in darkness or just shadow box.

The crucial question is does a perfect spirit jump from the old flesh to the new
body with no problems, so clean sheets for all on entering heaven or not.

I would suggest Paul and Jesus do not agree which is why we are to clean our
hearts, but others obviously disagree. Get this wrong and it really does matter.

It is like one preacher believes on coming to Christ there is no bad anything inside
the believer, which I find hard to believe based on experience and scripture.
It though sounds very nice ...

Christ's work alone cleanses our hearts by faith in Him.

Acts 15:8-9 (NASB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] "And God, who knows the heart, testified to them giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us;

[SUP]9 [/SUP] and He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

This verse does not say, all will remain in sin. It says all have sinned. It doesn't say all do sin.

Yeah ok....take that up with John and go look up the verb tense in the Greek.....this post is laughable if not so tragically false!

How about......

For there is not a just man upon the earth that does good and SINS NOT!

1 John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin, (PRESENT TENSE) we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

You know I was in a Christian FB group and the owner of the group always posted things saying true Christians won't sin anymore. I confronted this person and we had a little debate about not sinning. In the end I asked her if she has ever sinned since her accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior. The only response I ever got were verses about not living in sin. She could never confess that she sins.

If people on here claim they sin not then I would like them to come right out and say they never sin without throwing out all these verses to back up their claims. Come right out and say I no longer sin and I am now perfect.

Just think, John used WE, WE, WE, AND US......and yet....people will still say they don't sin....blows my mind how many reject this......and then say that we are dismissing sin and using this to justify willful sin....not only do the appear to be willfully blind but also false accusers....!

It amazes me at how long this thread is and that scripture has been quoted so thoroughly yet there are still some folks thinking that once we are saved we never make any mistakes or sin again.

I don’t know if folks really believe that or if they are blinded or just out for vain glory or what? Anyhow, I wish y’all well on that, but as for me, I know that I am in need of Jesus the savior because I am weak but he is strong. In my weakness, I sometimes slip and make a mistake, but Jesus is always there to catch me before I fall.

Many of those who claim to be sinless also believe that one can lose salvation and eternal life.....erroneously I might add.....I agree....they hint around and like to categorize sin and they never sin...they may "mess up" but never sin....!

Funny thing is I miss typed and said the opposite of what I meant.
Jesus and Paul agree we need a clean heart, but some disagree.

But what is clear with so many negative ideas, it is easy to end up saying
the opposite of what one intended.

I also find it interesting calling things satanic at the drop of a hat.
But I loose track of what certain groups really believe because so many basic points
seem to pass them by with no problems.

I also have to laugh at how easily people use the satanic card, because it is like
a horror movie when they start killing everyone everywhere, it just gets stupid
and a joke rather than counted as something serious. ;)

Maybe I should be shaking in my boots, or perhaps just wondering what next:cool:

Is this a joke fest or a bible discussion forum ???

The statement is satanic.....if one states it on purpose...even so the one about the imputed righteousness of Christ being a neat little trick that will not work is satanic.........

Faith is reconned as righteousness. We are righteous because we commune with Christ.
We are not righteous because our sin is not seen by God.

Jesus washes us clean, therefore we are clean. For you this never happens.

As a result you will die in your sins unless you repent.
This is the gospel and the cross.

I suspect like a few, you want to say you could not be wrong so I must be evil.
So in your world love overcoming sin and death is evil?

In that world there is no hope or victory. This should be enough warning that without
love working in the heart, theology can go very wrong.

We only ever escape the spiritual kingdom of this world by the cross and repentance.
Believe the cross and Christ's love and know His salvation.

We are the children of the light. Light has no compromise with darkness.
Love is who we are.

The enemy will always insult, mock, scorn, lie, claim evil where there is none.

Our brothers and sisters died at the hands as such as these.
Jesus has always asked, do you Love? Do you want to know love?
See the cross? See me. Then see yourself and open the door and I
will come and eat with you.

It is this that drew me as a child and still does 40+ years later.
So let us all encourage one another in love and praise to our glorious Lord,
who conquered death and brought heaven to earth, amen

Is there a difference between a sinner and a saint who sins?

one is lost, Separated from God because of his or her sin, Dead because of sin and being in adam

One is found, Saved by God inspite of his or her sin, and Alive because of Christ.
