Either your comprehension is off, or you totally misunderstood. WORKS DO NOT SAVE US. Whether saved or not, works DO NOT save us. Nor do they get us into heaven. And stop misquoting me, I NEVER said that we don't have to do works. Of course we do. BUT WE DON'T DO THEM TO GET INTO HEAVEN. And no, coffee isn't in order, if you'd READ what I said, you'd see I already had coffee. :)

So NO, even if I do many good works per day, they will NOT get me, nor you, into heaven.

Let's examine what you said Blue.
Seems to me we all have to start watching what we say here on this forum.

THIS is what you said:

Blue,

So, let's see. Using the English language correctly, what you're saying is this...:

Even IF YOU WERE SAVED, you COULDN'T GET INTO HEAVEN even if you did 1,000 good works a day.

So...

1. Being saved will NOT GET YOU INTO HEAVEN.
2. Even if you were saved, you wouldn't have to do good works.

So, yeah. Coffee is in order...

No need for you to continue protecting yourself. It can't be done...

We're NOT DISCUSSING WORKS HERE.

But WHAT YOU SAID.

And how you should be careful what you say since it was very confusing and you were using it to deride me.

I swear, I think some people purposely misunderstand what others are saying. Particularly when it comes to HOW we get saved, and whether or not our works will get us into heaven. :/ I feel sorry for those here who believe that, because they are deluded and deceived.

Plenteous in number will be the group that claims to KNOW......just saying.....they claim to KNOW him and HIS ways.....yet in reality their trust was placed in what they DO and not in what HE has done.........there is not a JUST man upon this earth that does good and sins not....You do understand that the law was given to show YOU that YOU cannot keep the LAW....it points to the cure---->FAITH into JESUS...by the way...are you afraid to call his name....does using Messiah make you more spiritual? Just asking......

Hi D,

And after your are saved, being made righteous, holy and justified, has Jesus empowered you to say no to sin?

As you walk this Christian life are you being sanctified to obey the commands of Jesus? Have you been set free from the bondage to sin and are set free to live in righteousness where you will begin to obey the Lord and sin less and less as you continue in
sanctification?

YOU are one of the people who continually misunderstands. YOU are one of the people who thinks works will get you into heaven, that works will save you, and that works must be done continually to keep salvation.. And you didn't post any misunderstanding. You just refuse to believe the truth. NOT my problem.

Does she really? Or do you misunderstand her stance?

Could you show me a post were she is teaching works salvation?

Last post I read she was talking about the need to Do good works after you are saved, which everyone here that I know of supports. Of course if we always say "God works through us to do those good works" folks would fight less.

You know what, seriously just ignore. If a person is THAT childish in the way they act, it's just not worth it. Just let it go, don't get angry, it's only a a troll (some loser) doing a wind up. It's not worth it.

Good try EG.
But no cigar.

You questioned my faith and my salvation.

If there's a mod reading along, this should e noticed.

I do hope you never do this again.

It is NOT YOUR PLACE to question my salvation.

And please remember that I'm REALLY GOOD IN ENGLISH, so please watch what you say.
Thanks.

and you wonder why we have such confrontations.

I could take it you questioned my salvation also? Since yiou insinuated I think I need God to do my work?

Do you want to discuss or not?

I may nt be good in spelling, But I know how to read. and I saw what you did

I said, IT SOUNDS LIKE,,

now if that is questioning your salvation. then I do not know what else to say.

ps. Why did you never respond to what I said? About trying to replace the work of God wiht our own works? Did you have a comment?

BTW, If Jesus had not gone to the cross, you would not have been condemned forever.
HOW DID THOSE IN THE O.T. GET SAVED??
WERE THEY ALL CONDEMNED?
Ok,, By this, I do question your gospel. What do you mean I would nit be condemned? How could I get to heaven if Jesus did nto die on the cross? The law would condemn me..

as for how did they get saved, I already answered, the cross..

God "Looked over their sin" because of their faiht, until the cross came.. That is what scripture states. If not for the cross. they would be condemned also.

I guess we'll have to get into the atonement.
But I'm not doing the lesson.

The atonement IS the cross. The lamb of God was Jesus

You seem to be very well versed.
How about YOU explain the atonement and what is was for and why it was necessary???
Atonement, Someone had to atone for our sin, We could not do it. (without the cross, we are condemned)

the OT priest made atonement by sacrificing an innocent unblemished animal in place of the sinner, and pouring the blood on the seat of atonement, That way God can pass over the sin (he could not see the charges he had against them)

Jesus fulfilled this symbolic institute by shedding his own atoning blood on the cross.

No one denies works or bearing fruit after salvation and the dual aspect of sanctification (sanctified in Christ positionally when saved) and then in our DAILY walk is a process of growth and maturity...we are changed outwardly because of the change inwardly. Being TRANSFORMED by the renewing of the mind which is the study and application of the word....SURE we SIN less and LESS but will never be SINLESS until we have a glorified body....

HOWEVER...the works, fruit and walk does not change one's salvation, justification, sealing and sanctification in Christ positionally which was based upon the genuine act of faith that saved!
