it comes from not realizing, the cross is not only enough, it was the ONLY option.
AMEN to that.......the only door.....and the reason the number is Plenteous that comes before the throne only to be cast is because they attempted Monty Hall's door number 2.....a works based theology

It is finished Jesus said AHHAHHAH and we are to enter into HIS rest dia faith because he has done all the heavy lifting ;)
Amen.

Sorry i had to give it one last try.

I hate spiritual strongholds that war against the knowledge of God.

Why cant people see the spiritual bondage?

The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, PATIENCE, GENTLENESS, KINDNESS and self control.

Why am I called weak when I ask people to take their tongues and speak with love and heavenly wisdom which God says is gentle and peace loving?

Why am I mocked and labeled an "appeaser" because I seek peace among the brethren?

I don't know. Something I need to take to the foot of the cross.

Ps. I quote scriptures as a defensive mechanism too.

EG an attack on me, isn't an attack on God.

An attack on what the Holy Spirit has done in my heart and through me, is an attack on God.

There is a big difference.

The first allows people to say stuff like "Don't touch God's annointed"

The second says "if I truly speak God's words (which can be verified from a clear reading of Scripture and the witnessing of the Holy Spirit) and you deny it, you aren't denying me but God who sent me."

Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. 28 In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
Matt 23:27-28

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.
1 cor 3:16-17

Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
2 Cor 7:1

Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
James 4:8

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord
Acts 3:19

That's the kind of thinking that this man had when he approached Jesus and said::

Matthew 19: KJV
[SUP]16 [/SUP]And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

After Jesus revealed to him He had to achieve perfection he lost hope::

Matthew 19: KJV[SUP]21 [/SUP]Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

[SUP]22 [/SUP]But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

And even His Apostles where losing all hope when they realised thy needed to be perfect..

Matthew 19: KJV
[SUP]25 [/SUP]When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

Jesus then calmed them down by revealing a truth that works salvation believers need to take on board::

Matthew 19: KJV
[SUP]26 [/SUP]But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Through the righteousness of Jesus, by His Work of Atonement we are saved... You guys better believe it before the day you die..

Do you truly believe this?
In my view....no....why...He said the imputed righteousness of Christ is a neat little trick that does not work......all I can go by are his words......just saying

Romans 4:6

Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works

Thanks this is what I meant.

If I say something of my own belief and it does not line up with God.. Then I guess I deserve to be attacked. Because I did not do the work to make sure my belief was in line with Gods..

That and he states the cross is not enough.. basically, God needs more from us..

But all we can do is judge his words. His eternal soul we can not judge, Only God can do that, Only God knows his heart.

I would not have quoted it if I did not believe it.
There is no other way to God except through Jesus and the cross, with a purified
heart, holiness dwelling within, love and the Holy Spirit being part of our existance.

This is both the kingdom of Heaven on earth and eternity touching mortality.

"the kingdom of God is within you"

Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”
38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
Acts 2:37-39

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. 16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Tim 1:15-17

You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed.
1 Thess 2:10

Our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.
1 Thess 1:5

You're not our shepherd, and we're not your flock.. GOD is our Shepherd, and your name ain't God. :)

Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; 3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

Self describe righteousness based upon a working for ideology is not being righteous.........

Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought to...........abase yourself and in due time you will be exalted....the Pharisees boasted of their righteousness......

Seems that still permeates the Pharisees of this age!
