I've had a few IV's in the past after suffering from dehydration, one of those times severe and I almost went into a coma
I only ever had a sore spot on my arm for around 2-3 days, which is normal. No lump though.
I remember years ago when I had to go through various medical tests in order to be approved for my US residency. I ended up needing to get my blood drawn twice, since it had to be checked over and approved by a specific doctor. The nurse was foreign and so rough, she literally just stabbed my arm with the needle and close to where I previously had blood drawn. My arm was bruised and sore for about a week
If you have a lump I would definitely get that checked out. It's possibly an infection? It could get worse, so best to deal with it sooner rather than later.
