The day of the Lord is a 3 1/2 year period of time. It starts with the Seals and ends with the Last Vial. Immediately after the Tribulation of those days (STARTS) the Sun, Moon and Stars will not give their light. But we know this is during the Tribulation, not after, the AFTER refers to he Return of Jesus Christ.....after all of those days of Tribulation. We know it last for 3 1/2 years.

Its the age of the gospel, the church age..The sun is the light of the gospel, the moon is the church that reflects the light, and the stars are the saints.....Rev 12-1 the 12 stars are the apostles. the women is the ecclesia with the moon under her feet and is clothed with the gospel.............

The dragon (the power of Satan manifest in men) and makes war with her seed. The final trumpet of Revelation exposes the battles the ecclesia has faced, and will face with the beast-like kingdoms of men throughout the entire church age, it all runs concurrent.. Stephan in Acts 6 & 7 was among the first that was persecuted by the beast. The apostle Paul was originally one of the persecutors employed by the beast. But he repented and changed sides to fight against the beast. He fought with beasts at Ephesus, in that his life was under persecution daily (i die daily).. The persecutions was Paul’s thorn in the side……

The dragon-beast is formed by joining the political and the religious sectors,(Herod and the Pharisees) together they make war on the saints…Jesus said beware of the leaven of Herod and the Pharisees (Church & State) they seek to murder the saints… The Puritan beast persecuted the Quakers. The Catholic beast persecuted the Waldensians, etc. etc…John Calvin joined with the political beast of his day within his realm to persecute the saints….Been going on for 2000 years, and will continue up to the last day. And as Jesus said; he that picks up his cross of persecution and endures to the end the same shall be saved..

One thing I love is how the Bible repeatedly confirms that the time of sorrow for the wicked and thus the time of God's wrath upon the wicked...is announced and commenced by these great cosmic signs.

Matthew 24:30 says the appearance of these signs precipitates sorrow among the wicked: "and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn". Clearly then, this is when God's wrath is commencing.

Isaiah 13 (which you cite)...again, quite clearly the "announcing" of the time of God's wrath...is accomplished by these staggering cosmic signs.

Joel 2:31 is another favorite of mine: "The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood BEFORE the great and awesome day of the Lord comes."
Rev. 6:16, 17 resoundingly echoes and confirms this divine timing of the arrival of God's wrath...that the arrival of God's wrath is announced by these horrifying cosmic indicators.

Keep in mind (and I talking to anyone looking in here)-- the wicked have been celebrating and boasting and worshiping "the beast", i.e. the Antichrist up until the moment their sorrow (and God's wrath) begins:

Rev. 13:4 -- "they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?".

There is no cringing before the wrath of God UNTIL...we, in fact, SEE the wicked cringing and sorrowing and running for the hills...at the time of these cosmic signs.

The only way to understand Revelation is to know all of OT prophecy. Like the mark of the beast, is for those that are part of the abominations that takes place in the Temple, the mark in Ezekiel is for those that mourned about the abominations taking place in the Temple. It's not a chip, tattoo or whatever technology comes up with, at the same time, master pay and passwords are something to think about.

One thing that I learned about studying prophecy, is you need to know OT prophecy and don't like to the headlines or anything other then the Scriptures for it's interpretation. Always look for historical fulfillment of a prophecy, while being open to a future fulfillment, because prophecy is given in part, it's not fully known or revealed.

I find it interesting that after Cain Killed abel God placed a mark upon Him. He was cast away from Gods presence, and Had a mark placed upon Him after He murdered abel........not really a connection yet but its interesting to me

thats really great advice thanks. also the GOSPEL gives understanding of all of prophecy " the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy"

Amen and YES scripture is ONLY understood by its own interpretation, what is written was spoken by Gods spirit ! i love that any priciple always repeats itself through the bible
