Yes, I pray as the Lord leads... which is not frequent because some of these guys are not coming back from deception and the devil is using them to mislead the sheep.... just like religious people in the dict on the other side teach cessationism which is just as bad.

In the scriptures we do see the Apostles publicly calling out people for wrong doing, to warn the brethren so it's not wrong to do that.

No, I don't follow them but I have investigated some of these TV preachers to compare what they say with scripture.
amen, its a good thing we have the words of the TRUTH to keep us from either side of the misconception

Here’s what the gospels teach about the kind of things that the wretched Pharisees were doing to garner such harsh responses from Jesus:

They Were Sign Seekers
When the Pharisees asked Jesus to show them a sign He replied, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after signs…” Then warning His own disciples Jesus cautioned, “Watch out and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees…He did not say to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees” (Matthew 16:1,6,12).

Jesus calls the teachings of the Pharisees “leaven” as an illustration of how it changes bread dough when it’s added in. Similarly, modern day false teachers alter the gospel message with their own ingredients and corrupt it to the core. Signs and wonders is not what Christ came for and never to be our focus. He came to save sinners (Luke 5:32).Kris-Vallotton_large

When modern day churches start to obsess over signs, wonders (and everything in between) to draw an audience, they’re on a slippery slope. If preference is given to sign-seeking healing services over gospel-centered preaching, it is a sign that the wrong kind of Pharisees may be running the show. Further, if the gospel message is said to be powerless without signs and wonders, run from the place that teaches such a thing.

We don’t need more hype about signs and wonders. The pulpit must determine to know nothing among us but Christ crucified and Him raised from the dead.

They Targeted Helpless People
In order to benefit themselves most, certain Pharisees preyed upon those who could defend themselves least. They were notorious for targeting helpless widows so they could benefit from the estate and resources a deceased husband had left to her.

Jesus described these greedy predators in His final public teaching discourse that Mark recorded. He taught, “Beware of the scribes who like to walk around in long robes, and like respectful greetings in the market places, and chief seats in the synagogues, and places of honor at banquets, who devour widows’ houses, and for appearance’s sake offer long prayers; these will receive greater condemnation” (Mark 12:38-40).

These conmen took no prisoners and even broke God’s law to make a buck off of heart-broken widows! The Old Testament commanded that people not overharvest their crops so that widows could benefit from what wasn’t picked the first time. Widows were not even be held to their own pledges (Deuteronomy 24:17-21). God took the care of widows seriously along with those who could not care for themselves – such as orphans.

In these modern times, false teachers take advantage of the lonely, the sick, the weak, and still go after widows much like the predatory Pharisees did. “Christian” leaders who capitalize on the least, last, and lost of our society for their own gain mirror the kind of bottom-feeding behavior that many Pharisees undertook.

This is the kind of stuff Bill Johnson promotes. His defense of Todd is a joke:

yet Paul says...after the Cross...

~Proclaiming Christ Crucified
1Co 2:1 When I came to you, brothers, I didn't come and tell you about God's secret with rhetorical language or wisdom.

1Co 2:2 For while I was with you I resolved to know nothing except Jesus the Messiah, and him crucified.

1Co 2:3 It was in weakness, fear, and great trembling that I came to you.

1Co 2:4 My message and my preaching were not accompanied by clever, wise words, but by a display of the Spirit's power,

1Co 2:5 so that your faith would not be based on human wisdom but on God's power.

God will place His favor on the elevation of His Son.

Very simple to know what is truth. He is truth, way, life.

A word about riches. Of course a Christian can be rich, however a Christian cannot use God to make himself or herself rich, that is called fleecing the flock and it is not God's way.
he who is faithful with little, will be given much." the more we honor God with all areas of our lives, the more He will impart to us, including Money man wants to look at it like its ours for us, "we worked so its not for the poor that are in lack, they need to get a job"

God gives faithful people more because He knows theyll be faithful in following His will to help the ones out there with too little, who are praying for answers regarding thier needs. with greater " prosperity financially" comes greater responsability to share and supply the needs of those in lack. Money means too much to mankind, when our brothers needs, mean more than our leftover we store up for a vacation, were beginning to experience the will and Love of God within us

I think there is a demonic anointing in the videos and I won't even watch them

I would honestly be careful about watching anything with Bentley

again, I don't know Johnson but he does seem to think Bentley is anointed of God which is utterly ludicrous

Johnson's letter concerning Bentley on Joyner's site

people want these supernatural things and God allows them to have them along with all the good feelings and happy experiences

they don't end that way and it sometimes takes years for the real fruit to grow.

it's always about what is going to happen and how wonderful the outpouring of the Spirit of God is going to be in these last days

They must not have read the Bible because that is not what is going to happen

I don't follow Todd...but I attended Lakeland meetings in the beginning. And I saw things...things working against Todd...and other things.

Rick Joyner had him under his ministry for a few years before releasing him back into ministry.

Rick has a heart for the broken...and so does Bill Johnson. Also for the younger generation.

It's enough to guard my own heart...and think on good things.

as I was in FL, I followed it all very closely and saw live feeds and testimony and got it straight from the horses' mouth so to speak

how about the lost Bentley created with the permission of the so called apostles and prophets and teachers?

I don't care for Joyner's ministry. I don't believe in it at all.

I am familiar with these people and what they have to say and teach.

If I wasn't I would just not say anything.

I have a heart for hurting people too but I don't endorse demonic people.

of COURSE this type of deception targets the younger generation. that makes total sense

guess you have to have eyes to see it or perhaps be a part of it as I was and thankfully got the hey out

That's lovely... there are witches and new agers that feel the same way

It doesn't mean that some of their teachings don't contain poison.

...and they shall know that you're my disciples because you twitch, can't control yourself and preach a false gospel of serving mammon?

Uh-huh.

But, you know, it's all good as long as they, like the girl in Acts 16 imply "Jesus is the true way of salvation".

Wake up, all you who are naìve and hoodwinked by this false message.

That's a quote from the devil isn't it?

Another thing the devil likes to do is accuse any Christian that is no very poor of "serving mammon" which is laughable as tho those who repeat satan's lies on this know anyone's heart

1 Corinthians 2:11
For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him?

Exactly you have no idea
I do too know... based on john lennon's own words.

In a 1966 Interview:

"Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue with that; I'm right and I will be proved right. We're more popular than Jesus now; I don't know which will go first - rock and roll or Christianity."

"I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It's just that the translations have gone wrong."

--------------------

1969 interview by David Wigg:

I don't need to go to church. I respect churches because of the sacredness that's been put on them over the years by people who do believe. But I think a lot of bad things have happened in the name of the church and in the name of Christ. Therefore I shy away from church, and as Donovan once said, "I go to my own church in my own temple once a day." And I think people who need a church should go. And the others who know the church is in your own head should visit that temple because that's where the source is. We're all God.

-------------------

1980 interview by David Sheff:

"But the whole religion business suffers from the 'Onward, Christian Soldiers' bit. There's too much talk about soldiers and marching and converting."
