Wait...Im stuck on sheep that sin. What would a sheep have to do to sin? :p
Its only a picture. Yes, the real animals called sheep cannot sin, but the same with real dogs or real pigs. Animals do not sin.

Sheep in the words of Christ is an image of His flock. And as John says, we are not without sin.

Israel was owned/ but when the shepherd appeared...they refused to follow. Sin

Yes they refused to follow and were punished accordingly, they lost the use of the land but not the deed to the land. They can be grafted in again if they believe and a remnant will as Romans says.

Israel have always been Gods chosen people, but not chosen as far as salvation, they have to come through faith as we all do. And yes the Gentiles were lost and have been grafted in through faith.
They were looking for a King to rule and protect them from the enemies. They weren't looking for a kingdom within. Boasting in the law.

But, all the plan of Father to give His Son to save us all.

I have a bit of a personal gripe about the scriptures. We are not sheep. Jesus brought Sonship, not sheepship.
Sheep is a metaphor. Their shepherd leads them, they follow. He speaks, they know his voice. That's how God's ppl are. He's the Shepherd of His sheep. They follow wherever He leads them. They follow His voice. John 10.

That is truth! Might get you beheaded in other places but no less truth. I wish I had a winking symbol.

Ya,no that was a joking comment. Maybe that didn't come across because of the English barrier. Jokingly "what would a sheep have to do to sin"? Because talking about sinning sheep sounded funny,it wasnt literal. :)

It's a wrong picture though SG. We are not "beast"; we have the image of God being formed within. Sheep can't have this. They have to "follow". Don't like that word either. Led. Led by His Voice...by Holy Spirit...sometimes through the Word (written) and other times through His Spirit in our spirit.

How are you so sure that a remnant will believe if it is dependent on men's free will? God cannot promise anything like that, in such a case.

Maybe nobody will believe, maybe all. Its only about our free will, you say.

I haven't seen anyone call him or Reformed crazy, and yet, he has said, quite often, that everyone says we are.

Oh it will get you beheaded in a lot of places! I heard the new Wonder Woman movie wont be played in Lebanon because of the mention of Israel. Not sure what the movie says about Israel but its banned in that country.

That's the problem, people know what they've heard about Calvinism and they act like they know what Calvinism about when they have no clue, then when you try to explain it they still revert to what they have been told by people that hate Calvinism.
Bingo!!!!!!

Metaphors cross boundaries... like saying Jesus is a door... or we have a plank in our eye... maybe the plank is a sliver from the door...

Because the Bible says their eyes will be opened and they will see their Messiah whom they persecuted and morn. They will freely believe. God doesn't make them believe, their blinders are taken off and they see and believe the same way we do.

Lebanon hates Israel. The Miss America pageant and the Olympics was proof. If we needed it.

And Lebanon means the beat of the heart...inner man. Definitely is not filled with love.

Regardless, the bible uses sheep to depict His followers.

He's not a literal door, but He is the Door to the sheep pen.
