I understand if you don't want to hop onto a fringe conspiracy and deny everything taught to us by school and our government institutions the past 400 years, but don't pretend that the Bible doesn't contradict accepted cosmology.

He believes that God made the universe explode billions of years ago and that everything God says about creation is just a metaphor.
What can we do about it?
'A scientist said something? Must be true. God said something? Must be a metaphor.'
